How to unlock the Stick to the Plan achievement in The Amazing Spider-Man - Definitive Guide
When you're crawling on the wall, ceiling, or some rafter, you'll notice a faint purple web on the ground below you. That is the range of your stealth takedown. Whatever enemy is in that web will be vulnerable to a visit from your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. ;)
When you see an enemy glow purple with the prompt RB Stealth Takedown, follow that prompt to web him up good. It even works on sentry robots. ;)
The only downside is that you can only take down one or two (with an upgrade) at a time. Any others near the one you took down will be alerted to your presence. That's why after each takedown, it's good to LB web escape to more easily escape detection. It won't always work though. Sometimes 2 or 3 web escapes will be needed. And at times, you just need to roll your eyes and web strike the alerted one yourself before you get yourself killed.
I highly recommend maxing out the stealth takedown character upgrade section (the one below the top left). The first will allow you to string up an enemy to the ceiling. The second (available after the first upgrade) will allow you to Double Thread, taking two up with you if they're near to each other. Each will cost one level point.
Now you can at least hide the webbed up enemies and take down two at a time when possible. Thus sometimes it pays to wait for moving enemies to walk by each other so you can web them both up at once. Or just play the web and run game. As you will. :)
After 50 of these cool takedowns you will pop this achievement. After 100 you will pop another, the All Tied Up achievement.
So have fun out there! And keep frosty!
Stealth Takedowns are performed by perching on the wall/ceiling above an enemy, and pressing when they are glowing purple. Do this 50 times and this trophy will unlock.
You will likely unlock this easily on your Super Hero playthrough, since it is much more simple to be stealthy than it is to punch everyone, as you are much easier to kill on this difficulty. Purchasing the upgrade that allows you to Stealth Takedown two enemies at once will make this trophy much easier to obtain.
If you have completed the game and not unlocked this trophy, you can replay the Oscorp Secret Labs from the whiteboard in your apartment, which are ideal for Stealth Takedowns.
