How to unlock the Intense Repossession achievement in The Banner Saga 2 - Definitive Guide

This achievement is for killing 10 enemies/allies that the Eyeless possesses before killing the Eyeless itself. You have two battles and it is much easier to separate them then to try and get 10 in one fight. Always make sure that you leave a dead body for the eyeless to possess and at most 1 body. You don't want to leave 5 bodies or the Eyeless may not possess them all or the one you want. You can control the flow of the battle by picking her next body before killing the body she is currently possessing.

The achievement is cumulative but must be done in a single play through or, maybe more accurately put, a single save file. You get two fights to get this in. Chapter 11 aim for 5-6 possessed kills in the first fight before killing the eyeless. The best way to do this is by killing one enemy at a time so he hops in to that body. Weaken the others to minimize damage.

Then do the same thing in Chapter 13 and it should only be 4-5 possessed kills. Then reload on Chapter 13 if you just wanna kill the eyeless and move on with minimal injuries.

The other guide must have been removed. There used to be one that suggested you get this achievement in one fight but that was pretty tough to do. In his comments someone mentioned separating the kills into two fights. I tried, it worked, and thus I wrote a more detailed version of exactly where the two fights were and how to get them. Without the other solution I will now alter this slightly to be more transparent.

Thank you for the edit. Struggling with the second fight myself. Will have to try.

are you attempting this on your hard playthrough? because again, I found this way easier on normal

No, doing normal at the moment. I am considering murdering all but the initially posessed enemy to make it easier. not sure if it would work.

definitely won't work. I don't know what to suggest because part of the game is randomized based on choices you've made and the gear your characters are wearing. Why not do a third run on easy? I did that (you can see it in the WT forum when I suggested it to the WT writer)

Not sure though. She seems to posses corpses at random. Could just wait and end my turns until she does so again after I dropped her down to minimum health so she can't do any real damage. Will have to try. If not, another run on easy seems smart.

You don't kill anyone other than one more than the first one she posses. You want to control the enemy flow. If you leave one body, where you want it, she has to posses that and you stand a greater chance of killing her immediately after killing another enemy.

The problem I have is that she seems to spawn at random locations. Can't really control where she will be heading.

You will fight this unique Sundr twice during the story. On both occasions, you will want to take out all the smaller enemies first, leaving Eyeless alone, while also taking her health down to a very small amount. She will always attack once, then on her next turn possess a fallen character (it could be a dredge, or an ally if any have died). If you start to lose characters during the first battle and only get a few kills, it is actually much easier during the second battle as there are barricades and cracks in the earth to hide behind.

Easy way to receive. Preferably on easy difficulty. Received in Chapter 13, in the last battle.

Before the battle, agree to build barricades. Take Bolverk into the squad, preferably with the Scarlet Feather artifact, Ditch, Olya and Folka. During the battle, you drive Olya and Folka inside the barricades and attack everyone except Eyeless. Ditchem applies invisibility and uses it as a barrier. You kill the eyeless one in the guise of Nickels last. After this, Eyeless will appear in her body. We keep Bolverk away, leave Olya and Folka behind the barricades, if necessary we create a barrier with Ditch (in an invisible state). The point of the further battle is not to approach Sundra when she is in her guise, and when she inhabits someone’s body to finish off Bolverk with “Selection of the Weak”, this way we have the opportunity to take the varl away from a possible attack by the Eyeless One. So the Eyeless One will not spend her willpower on anything other than moving into corpses and you will receive the achievement.

The most important point is that the captures are cumulative. Since there will be two battles with the eyeless one during the story, accumulating ten will not be difficult.
