How to unlock the Sundr Slayer achievement in The Banner Saga 2 - Definitive Guide

Towards the end of Chapter 13 you will reach a location called OLD FORD.. Prior to the battle you will be given the opportunity to train fighters or barriacades. I found barricades made the it easier to protect my troops.

Now, you will enter a battle after a cutscene where Nikel is possessed by Eyeless. To make the battle really easy make sure that you slay Nikel, this will draw out eyeless from his body.
Now make sure that you avoid the other dredge and focus as much as you can on Eyeless.

First of all focus solely on his armour as if you attempt to damage him your blows will likely be deflected. Once his armour is down considereably he then work on his health. Its really important to note that whenever you kill another dredge Eyeless will possess them which prolongs the battle.

When Eyeless has been defeated on the battlefield you will have two dialogue choices.

On me! Today we kill a Sundr! - You decide to kill the Eyeless, and the battle continues. After you kill him, you receive more renown points than in the case of an escape (37 points).

AND

"While they're stunned, move! To Manharr! - As a result, you flee from Dredges. In the case of choosing this option, you receive less renown points - 19.

Make sure you choose the first option. You are then required to kill everyone on the battlefield, which if you quickly despatched Eyeless should be easy, however if you had a long nasty battle and lost lots of health and characters you may struggle.

* Also there is a an achievement if you can have Eyless possess ten or more charachters, for this you need to do the opposite of what I said.

You don't need to defeat all the enemies, when you kill the Eyeless One once it's on the ground, you will win the fight and earn the achievement.

^^^ This. Killing the reinforcements is impossible on hard, they show up with 20-30 armour and health. Just go straight for the Eyeless on the ground when they show up.

In Chapter 13 you will fight against the eyeless (Possesses fallen allies/enemies) and after you beat him pick the option that says On Me The fight will continue.

First Battle

Get the Eyeless trapped in a body with 1 strength and no armor. Lower armor of the big dredge and one shot the small dredge melee/ranged. I strongly suggest if your using your Varl that you don't put up barricades. You probably did if you followed the walk through and now your here. Still works, try to keep your whole army at the top of the screen, opposite of where you started. When you enter pillage, kill his body with Bolverk's Cull the Weak. Hopefully he appears near him again so you can weaken his armor before he gets to attack. He is going to kill/nearly kill one of your Varl most likely Bolverk if you weakened his armor with him. Weaken armor until around 5 and then your hits should land. The Eyeless will have likely poisoned your whole group before you kill him.

On Me!!!

Second Battle

Immediately starts without recouping losses/armor/strength and your still poisoned. This is why you want to be at the top of the screen. The army that comes in is full health, two of them can heal health and armor, and the other two are heavy hitting tanks. Best bet is to aim for the Eyeless' dead body. It has 0 armor so even if your heavy damaged you should be able to get in there. If you chose Forge ahead for Varl you can even use that to your advantage to get a heavy hitter 2 swings back to back to finish it. Thats how I did it. Tried 6 times to defeat every reinforcement but I found it impossible.

May take a try or two but it shouldn't take you as many as it took me trying the other solution.

The Sundr in question for this achievement is Eyeless. During the second battle (where you will want to continue to work on "Intense Repossession" if you did not get it during the first encounter), after killing Eyeless you will have the option to run away. However, you notice Eyeless is still moving. You will want to choose the option to charge and finish her off.

The best method to accomplish this is to make sure Eyeless is the only enemy left when you kill her during the first phase, and have Dytch stealthed at the very top of the map prior to killing her. This way, as soon as the next phase starts where Eyeless' body is on the ground, Dytch can pop out of hiding and do more than half the necessary damage. You could also have Bolverk up there if his strength stat is still high, as his normal attack will do two swings and kill her in one turn. The other troops that spawn during this phase completely ignored Dytch when I did it, so I simply attacked with him a second time and it was over.

first we kill all the dredges (only the dredges), then we regenerate and move our squad to the end of the map. And only after that we demolish the boy. Sundra appears, and you have the whole squad's turn. Even on hard, you can manage to demolish it in one go. And then you will have time to finish off just as quickly, since you are already standing near the body.
