To get gold on I Feel Fine on guitar, near the end of the song, instead of using your Beatlemania, wait until you have it 3/4 of the way full, then use it. Otherwise, you'll have a part left over at the end.

I Feel Fine is literally impossible to gold star on expert bass. Need to get that on guitar/vocals/drums instead

Do you have to do these solo or can you do this online?

As far as I know they need to be done solo.

You can't complete them as part of the longer Setlists either. I experimented with saving up star power from one song to use in the next, it makes it easier to GS but they don't count for the cheevo.

Because you cant get it on bass doesnt mean its glitched it means its unobtainable facepalm it also means your going to have to try and play another instrument then stick it bass. I missed one not on drums and was only 175 points off means drum wise you gotta fc it because i had a really good star path

Just wanted to point out that I got vocals gold stars on Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds at 154.168 points. I was literally disappointed during the end of the song when I noticed I wouldn't reach the needed 162k for gold. But, yeah 154k was enough though. :)

Further: I full comboed Lucy in the Sky, and it flipped to gold stars at just over 152,000. I ended with a score of 164,508.

We tried this in band just a minute ago on guitar/bass. We both FC'd the song, perfect SP run (used on first unison, didn't deploy on 2nd unison, waited until guitarist had 3/4 bar of SP then used on trips) and still managed just over 150,000. From what we could see, the gold cutoff for this on that combo was 169,000 or so. I see no way to get this with a bassist in the band.

Base is a nightmare for getting gold. They are reportedly possible but you need perfect paths and lots of whammy when earning star power if you can. There's are some more discussions about it on the original x360a link above.

As far as I know, I Feel Fine appears to be glitched because it's IMPOSSIBLE to get Gold on Expert Bass. EXPERT, for crying out loud, this isn't freaking Guitar Hero where you HAVE to get 100% to get gold, on some songs in Rock Band 2 I didn't get 95% and I STILL got Gold Stars on it! And I always seem to miss at least ONE note right after the solo, ruining my chances for the achievement. I NEED another person unless they glitched it so you HAVE to get it alone.

I Feel Fine is the song that is going to cause the problems. It isn't possible to gold star this on bass in standard play (this is confirmed in the Beatles rock band forums, so don't even bother, although you can get it easily in chapter challenge those don't count for the achievement). If you are a top notch drummer that can handle the latino rhythm then you might be able to hit it on drums, the best bet for most people is vocal but even that is a toughie with good timing of Beatlemania required.

I eventually got this on guitar - you are basically looking to play a full combo and hit good Beatlemanias, but it *is* possible to drop one note in the middle and still get this because that's exactly what I did, so don't restart just for 1 mistake (It has to be said I've dropped just 1 note before and not made it by several thousand), I just made the cut-off, that was courtesy of hitting Beatlemania over the 3-note chord sections (for the biggest combo). 75,408 is the cutoff http://rockband.yajags.com/cutoffs/?drums=none&bass=none... and there is a video on youtube (linked below) which shows a full combo with star power path, best to take a look and learn the place to hit the star power, and even that only scores 79,005, no two ways about this, it is a real toughie with virtually no margin for error.

How do you activate beattlemania on vocals? it sometimes does it on it's own.

The easiest way to get gold stars on "I Feel Fine" is by playing the guitar. Activate star power as soon as you are able to. Should be after two sets of 16th notes on the red fret. The second time you use star power wait until the bar is 3/4 full, wait about 5 seconds and activate it. Presto gold stars. For the rest of the songs it's easiest to do them all on expert bass.

To obtain this achievement you must earn gold stars on the following songs.

-I Feel Fine
-Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds
-Revolution
-Twist and Shout

I have created a way to use a computer to play drums perfectly and obtain this achievement. I have created a video tutorial for this method but I have included full text instructions as well.

Text instructions can be found here.

First off, this achievement can be gained on any instrument of your choice, so use whatever your weapon of choice is and the instrument that you feel most comfortable with.

So not taking anything away from The Beatles (because they are the best band ever!), but let's be honest... they aren't as intense and as difficult as a lot of bands nowadays such as Metallica and Dream Theater when it comes music games. Expert in this game is much like Hard would be in the main Rockband games as well as in the Guitar Hero lineup. So if you can play Hard and play it fairly decently, this one shouldn't pose as a problem. Now to earn Gold Stars in Rockband games it's unlike Guitar Hero where you have to 100% the song. To get Gold Star you have to break the allotted score pre-set for the song. You can do this by executing solid star power paths and hitting in the high 90's for the song.

Now that that's out of the way, the 4 songs that require you to obtain a Gold Star rating are:
1. I Feel Fine
2. Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds
3. Revolution
4. Twist And Shout

Good Luck!!

**IF YOU HAVE A SPECIFIC SONG QUESTION, DON'T HESITATE TO LEAVE A COMMENT AND I WILL GET BACK TO YOU A.S.A.P. AND TRY TO HELP OUT TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE. I HAVE COMPLETED THIS AS WELL AS THE OTHER 3 GOLD STAR SETLIST SPECIFIC ACHIEVEMENTS (MOSTLY DONE ON ALL EXPERT GUITAR; HOWEVER A FEW WERE DONE ON BASS).

To get gold stars on a song you must play the song almost perfectly in most cases, as well as use your Beatlemania at the right time. For this trophy you will need to get gold stars on these four songs. This can be done on any instrument, so pick the one you're best at and play it until you can get it gold starred. Sometimes it may actually be easier though if you choose a different instrument that is easy for the particular song, as it may be the hardest song for your best instrument. The songs you need to gold star are:

  • I Feel Fine
  • Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds
  • Revolution
  • Twist And Shout

Gold stars are earned when you do very well on a song, it is possible to get gold stars and miss one or two notes, you will have to play on expert on any instrument for this achievement, like the others get used to the rhythm of the songs and practice if necessary. Finally using star power on chord sections is the key to scoring more points, look out for good places to activate. Some people find doing these as a band makes it easier. The songs you need to gold star are as follows:

I Feel Fine:
Expert Guitar Gold Star at Roughly:
76,000 points.
Requirements:
Almost need to 100%, 99% is passable depending on where you miss, you MUST use the star power path below otherwise it is extremely difficult, with the star power you might miss an opportunity to use the last star power phase in this song

Star Power Path:
1) After collecting 2 phases, activate straight away.
2) After collecting 3 phases, activate straight away.
Important Tip: The last note of the solo is very pesky, make sure you strum the last ten notes of the solo so that you don't get confused.

Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds:
Expert Guitar Gold Star at Roughly:
62,000 points.
Requirements: 99% or better using star power decently should do.

Revolution:
Expert Guitar Gold Star at Roughly:
120,000 points.
Requirements: 98% and up, using star power decently on powerchord sections and the main riff.
Important Tip: Get used to the rhythm of the song and make sure to nail all of the HOPO sections.

Twist And Shout:
Expert Guitar Gold Star at Roughly: 96,000 points.
Requirements: Not too hard as it is an easy song, go for 100% really.

I Feel Fine:
Expert guitar: 76,000 points

Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds:
Expert guitar: 62,000 points

Revolution:
Expert guitar: 120,000 points

Twist And Shout:
Expert guitar: 96,000 points
