How to unlock the Day Tripper achievement in The Beatles Rock Band - Definitive Guide

For this achievement you will need to start a new Story mode save file and complete it within 24 hours. This basically means you have to play through 44 songs in the game, within a day, in story mode. You do not need to complete the final, encore song in the order for this to unlock (it unlocks after "Get Back").

If you have already started a save file before, just choose a different, unused save slot when choosing Story from the main menu (there are three save files per band member).

It can be done on any difficulty, on any instrument, and with any number of band members.

It takes roughly 3 hours to complete Story mode.

(Unconfirmed) Alternatively, you can always go offline and change your Xbox 360's clock in system settings to any time within 24 hours of your first song you started playing in story mode.

If you go over the time, you can always go offline and change your xbox 360s clock in system settings to any time within 24 hours of your first song and you will unlock it.

I set my box back to the same day I started the game and the achievement never popped. Is this comfirmed to be working?

I started playing on my wife's save file after three chapters and we both got the achievement at the end. So you don't need to play the whole story mode, just the last part.

Just confirming setting the time while off of LIVE... Yes it does work. I beat all the songs up until "Get Back" and as soon as the song finished, I got it. So anyways, point is, it DOES work. Just make sure you set the time to fit within the 24-hour time frame..

Is it possible to turn off the game and then play some other time and complete the story mode and still get the achievement?

@Damon163
I'm pretty sure you can as long as the time you next play is within 24 hours of the first time you played. For example, say you played for about an hour starting at 4PM but then decided to turn the game off. You would have until 4PM the next day to complete it.

Nahuh, about band members. We played 3 players when we started the game. Then one left because he didn't know the lyrics and got pissed. So we ended up playing as two, in the end of the game we didn't get the achievement.

And yesterday I started playing it again, alone on drums. But now my drums do not exist anymore. So I want to change to guitar to play the last three gigs. But will I get the achievement if I change instruments?

@Unilol
I think you can change instrument, as long as it's still within the space of 24 hours. If 24 hours have already passed you'll have to start a new save I'm afraid.

Cool, I just did it. I never really stop to think about how short it would really be.

I wonder what happens regarding this achievement and when the clocks change for daylight saving. Is it possible to have 25 hours to do the achievement? Not really important, however :P

I just played through the story in 2 hrs and 53 minutes including time spent in menus. So that is pretty much exactly how long you can expect it to take you so long as you don't fail out on any songs.

I did it changing instruments and the achievment didn´t popped. I may have passed the 24 hours (maybe 25), but i don´t think that had happened

I only took 2 hours and 30something minutes from when I started the first song to when the achievement popped up.
You basically have to play straight with basically no breaks. Isn’t hard if you like The Beatles but sucks when you get to I Want You (She’s So Heavy) because it’s the 2nd(if you play in order)to last song and it’s about 8 minutes long

Did you make sure to continue playing offline after you changed the time? As Live will automatically adjust the time when you sign in. Hmm, until more people confirm that it works I'll edit the guide.

@Skeptical Mario
Interesting. Do you mean you only need to finish the last chapter, or the final song?

Bug report!

In the unlikely event you start this at 11pm December 31st, the achievement will not pop. We finished the next day about 8pm.

In short: don't start this late New Years eve. :)

You can earn (not really earn) this achievement by playing on easy and just letting the songs finish (you don't need to hit any notes). You will not fail. Just let the songs play for the entire game, simply loading a new song after the other one finishes.

I did this achievement properly, but it didn't pop. So I decided to create a new save and let them play through by themselves and I got it.

You will need to start a new story and finish the game from start to finish within 24 hours. This can be done on any difficulty you want. You can pause the game or even turn the system off as long as you finish it within 24 hours. The game will take you roughly about 5-6 hours to complete so it's not that bad.

This achievement is possible to miss, but highly unlikely. The game takes roughly 4 hours to complete, the achievement will unlock without having to do the song "The End" at the end of the game. You have to complete this within 24 real hours after the save was made, for example if you started at 3PM on Monday you'd have to finish the game before 3PM on Tuesday, it isn't a collective time of 24 hours.

Awesome Tip thanks to alphakira:

If you start the game and then something comes up or you can't complete it in that time, simply stay offline and put your xbox's clock backwards.

It takes about 5 hours to complete, so it's easy to do, especially since you're unlikely to be able to stop playing until the end credits, since this is The Beatles)
