How to unlock the Doing the Best That You Can! achievement in The Beatles: Rock Band - Definitive Guide

While playing drums, go into "Training" from the main menu, then into "Drum Trainer", and then finally into "Drum Lessons". Drum Lessons are a collection of drum rhythms to get you accustomed to some of the nuances of playing drums (using your limbs independently and such).

(Note that this is separate from the "Beatles Beats". That's another achievement entirely.)

There are 45 drum lessons and to get this achievement you need to score 100% on all of them. And it has to be a real 100%. If you hit every note but accidentally hit a pad twice during the rhythm, you'll score 100% but it won't count the lesson as completed.

Most of the rhythms are pretty simple but the later ones can be tricky. It's important to note that you can complete the drum lessons at ANY BPM. If you want to start out fast but then get stuck on a beat somewhere, just dial down the BPM meter with the D-Pad. You MUST complete each Drum Lesson at the minimum tempo of 60 BPM. (Correction added - thanks Nighthawk205) You'll know when you've completed a lesson when at least one of the drum icons on the left side of the screen turns gold.

EDIT: I should also mention that in the Achievements menu in the game, there's a checklist of the beats that's listed on the right hand side of the screen when you go to this achievement's entry. It updates automatically by checking off each rhythm you've completed so if you're unsure of which lessons you have yet to complete, you can consult this as well.

Want to throw out a correction here. You MUST complete the beat at at least 60 BPM. It must record that you completed it up to the first "drum" on the BPM meter, which is 60 BPM. There was one that I was stuck on and put it on the lowest setting and the achievement only unlocked once I completed it at 60 BPM.

I can confirm that, I just wizzed through all the lessons on the default setting of 80 BPM and got the achievement.

You can complete the 45 beats in any order, at 60 BPM or higher as mentioned above.

This is an easier achievement than completing "Beatle Beats" (The teachers who taught me WERE cool) because there are fewer drum lessons (45 as opposed to 85 Beatle Beats), and they are all straight-forward patterns; no drum rolls, and most are two pads and the kick pedal.

At the main menu you will see the Training section. Go into it and click on Drum Trainer. Once there, simply go into Drum Lessons. You will need to complete all 45 lessons at 60BPM or higher. Make sure you have a green drum icon next to the chart to confirm you've done the lesson.

If you are having trouble try getting a friend to do the foot pedal while you do the drum pads, it makes it much easier.

From the main menu head to the practice screen and enter the drum trainer, then select Drum Lessons. Simply 100% notes hit complete all of the beats, they aren't too difficult, if needs be get a friend to do the bass pedal while you focus on the drum pads. You must complete all 45 of these on 60bpm or higher, going under 60 won't count as you need at least one drum icon on the left bar to turn green.

Go to the menu, select Practice, Drum Trainer, Beatle Beats.
Beatle Beats is the same as Drum Lessons, only now there are 86 sections and they are really difficult. It's better to open with a friend who will press the bass pedal.
