How to unlock the Eight Days A Week achievement in The Beatles Rock Band - Definitive Guide
This is possible to do single handed, though it requires some organization ;)
Obviously you need a gamer profile per an instrument, so make sure you set up some dummy accounts before starting the game. All will get the achievement, so it doesn't matter which instrument your main gamertag is on.
I used 'I Am the Walrus', since i'd been using it to get 'In 60 Seconds'.
Set up the two guitars on a raised surface in front of your tv, lying flat so as not to accidently trigger Beatlemania. Next to these place the mic stand in such a way as you can sing and play either guitar ( obviously keep them flat, don't pick them up to play ) then place the drums conveniently off to the side somewhere.
Start the song 'I Am the Walrus' with a vocalist, guitar(lead), Bass guitar and drums all set to set to EASY difficulty.
First sing and play the guitar (lead). You'll get Beatlemania (halfway on the bar) for the guitar pretty quickly and pick up some vocalmania along the way.
Now switch to the bass guitar and keep singing, since the more mania you can collect the more leeway you'll have for making mistakes. The Bass took a while to half fill the bar, but don't worry you should have plenty of time.
Finally switch to the drums and forget about singing. Again it takes some time to build up Beatlemania, but the song is plenty long enough.
Once you are ready simply activate drums, the vocals (or vice versa which ever works out best), then the two guitars (pick them up or isn't there a button to trigger Beatlemania?)
With this method I did it first try, although i'll admit I may have been lucky. Indeed I almost messed it up when seeing a drum trigger and trying to activate the vocals before it arrived. Luckily I just caught the drum trigger and then found a vocal trigger area immediately after.
So it may not work for you first time, but you should find a similar strategy will work if you play around with it. If you want to be sure it may be worth getting the drums and guitar Beatlemania up to 3/4 of the bar.

The back or select button will trigger Beatlemania (overdrive/star power if you like.) I've had to use this before on a guitar that wasn't responding correctly when tipped.

Since this is a band achievement, only one instrument needs to be signed on to the profile (whichever profile is getting the achievement). No need to set up dummy accounts.

When playing as a band (with 2 or more people), Beatlemania activates a "Band Multiplier" instead of an individual one. If one person activates it, it gives a 2x multiplier to all the band members. If another person activates it while the other's is still going, that doubles to a 4x multiplier. And so on.
To get an 8x Band Multiplier, you must have all players in a 4 person band activate Beatlemania at once (or Overdrive or Star Power or whatever you want to call it). Just have your band build up enough energy and let it rip.
Try and time your activations right after your vocalist and drummer since they only have certain points in a song where they can use Beatlemania unlike guitarists.

I got this with just 3 people. Basically you just have 2 of the people play the drums and sing, the 3rd person has the guitar and bass. The guitar and bass need to be on easy so you can't fail. Fill the guitar's bar half way up so you can ignite Beatlemania later, then stop playing. Then do the same for the bass. The drummer and vocalist should have their Beatlmania ready, so simply ignite all four and BAM...8x Beatlemania.
This may be obtainable with 2 or even just one person. Just put all the instruments on easy so you can't fail and pick a decently long song. First fill the mic's bar half way up so that Beatlemania is possible then stop singing. Next, the drums. Then the guitar and finally the bass. Then just ignite them all one right after another so they're all on at the same time thus giving you the 8x Beatlemania.
If both of those solutions fail, then you're gonna have to go the 4 player way and get it that way. If you infact have at least 4 players then this achievement should come naturally, and really isn't too difficult.
Good Luck

If there are 3 people, I'd rather have 1 person on drums, 1 on bass and 1 on guitar and have one of them sing at the same time, rather than have one guy play 2 controllers. That way you can have everyone on hard/expert or whatever and play the songs regularly, it gets easy really quickly to play the guitar and sing at the same time after a while.

i got it solo today. all you need is a full set of instruments. the key to solo this achievement is a long song, because you need time to grow your beatlemania or starpower (whatever, i mean that rockbar) with each instrument.
i have chosen "Sgt.Peppers Lonely Heart Club Band". it is very long and you have enough time. all difficulties should set to easy so you cannot fail the song.
now fill the rockbar with each instrument to 2/4 - 4/4. after all bars have the minimum of 2/4, beginn activation with the micro, followed with drums then guitar and bass. if you have trouble in timing all together fill your rockbar to 4/4 for each instrument.
oh, and don't forgot to load and start the game with your active player who needs that achievement. not all players will get that.
i whish you all good luck and hope you understand what i want to say you. i'm from germany and i know my english is not very good.

To earn this trophy you'll need at least four people each playing an instrument Guitar, Bass, Drums, Vocals. Everyone needs to deploy it at the same time together and can be done either offline or online. The best thing to do is let the drums and vocals get their beatlemania full sense they can only deploy it at certain times during any given song after those two deploy guitar and bass should follow immediately.
This is only possible with 4 players, all players must activate star power together, it doesn't matter about the player's multiplier as this is the band multiplier.

All 4 players need to activate Beatlemania at the same time.
