How to unlock the Elmore James Got Nothing on This achievement in The Beatles: Rock Band - Definitive Guide

There are 22 songs with at least one guitar solo in The Beatles: Rock Band. To get this achievement, you must hit at least 85% or more of the notes in each one. It's easy to track in the game as guitar solos are special designated sections with a real time percentage meter, so you don't have to wait until a song is finished to see if you achieved the appropriate percentage for a song.

Also, it's very helpful if you check the Achievements menu that's in the game itself. Scroll down to the entry for this achievement and there's a checklist on the right side of the screen which checks off each song that you nailed the solo on.

And yes, you MUST be on the Expert difficulty.

If you're having trouble on a particular solo, it would be best to utilize the Practice mode and practice the solo at a slower speed for you to overcome any problems you have with it.

As far as most Expert-level Rock Band songs go, most of the solos in Beatles: RB aren't too tough (though they are very fun). There are a couple of songs with some tricky solos however (Hard Day's Night, Taxman), so don't be afraid to go at them in Practice mode. To actually get credit towards the achievement, you have to be playing these in the 'standard' gameplay modes (Quickplay or Story).

EDIT: "The End" has a guitar solo, but scoring 100% on it is not required for this particular achievement (most likely as the song is not playable until you complete the Story mode).

I personally found Taxman to be the toughest solo (as in, didn't get 85% on the first try), simply because it's super short and over before you know it.

Try overstrumming on Hard Day's Night. You don't need to have a streak, you just need to hit the notes.

Does anyone know if No-Fail can be on for songs where it's difficult to reach the solo?

Also worth noting: in songs with two guitar solos (like Back in the USSR), you can score the 85% in just one of the solos and still get credit for the whole song. This very thing happened to me, getting ~83% on the first and 85 or 86 on the second. It's checked off in my list.

You can definitely get these in no-fail mode.

Ya Tasman is by far the hardest. And I don't think you have to do the end, because I've never seen it on my checklist.

I did like five and came to taxman. I needed about 2 hours until I was finally able to beat it. Now, after hours of practicing, I CAN'T F'IN BEAT the Hard Days Night Solo. Its just impossible for me and its the last in the list...

If I could vote up Ryouga Inverse's comment above, I would. Great tip. Strumming where it's not necessary on Hard Day's Night helped me nail that one.

"The End" does have a guitar solo, but it's not required for this particular achievement. (Getting 100% on it on hard or expert is the requirement for a different achievement however.)

Forgot to mention that if you're doing these in Quickplay, be sure to exit to the main menu and manually save the game once you've ticked one of the tricky ones off the achievement list. I did three songs and dashboarded from the menu which comes directly after playing the song 'New Song ...Replay... etc' and these songs weren't ticked the next time I loaded the game. This would be bad if you just managed to do that 'AHDN' solo!

Negative from me because I went here looking what songs had it. I gladly change it to a positive if that's added.

EDIT: I just found out that the game tells you which ones I the achievement section in extras. Click on the specific achievement to scroll.

Maybe you can add that to your guide. I change it now to positive though as this comment should help people who did not know this like myself.

I don't believe this includes the guitar solo in The End. I got this achievement before playing through the whole setlist, and The End is a hidden song that's only playable once you go through career mode and play everything else

Yeah, the practice mode is very helpful if you hit one of these that seems just that bit too difficult to pull off. Also, overstumming was invaluable for those three tricky solos, 'A Hard Day's Night', 'Can't Buy Me Love', and 'Taxman'.

If you're doing a bunch of these songs in one session, put the game into 'No Fail' mode and let the song run up to the solo without playing it to rest those overworked fingers.

If you have a Rock Band guitar with the solo buttons high on the neck, ask someone to spam the strum bar while you concentrate on spamming the solo buttons with two hands, might help you get past that one song that's giving you trouble.

For these achievement the above guide is mostly correct, but after getting the achievement there are a few things I must elaborate on:

1.Firstly, "The End" is not o nthe the list of solos when you go the the achievement page.

2.Secoundly, you can use "No Fail Mode" for the last few songs if you finish them all in one session. If you go to another made or turn off you x-box the songs you used no fail mode on wount be saved.

3.Finally, for songs like "Get Back" and "Back in the U.S.S.R" which have an easier solo and a harder one, you only need to get over 85% on one. Hope this helps!

Do just as it says. The songs with solos are:

  • A Hard Day’s Night
  • Back In The U.S.S.R.
  • Boys
  • Can’t Buy Me Love
  • Come Together
  • Day Tripper
  • Dig A Pony
  • Drive My Car
  • Get Back
  • Good Morning Good Morning
  • Helter Skelter
  • Hey Bulldog
  • I Feel Fine
  • I Saw Her Standing There
  • I Wanna Be Your Man
  • I Want You (She’s So Heavy)
  • Octopus’s Garden
  • Revolution
  • Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band
  • Something
  • Taxman
  • While My Guitar Gently Weeps

If a song has two solos, such as While My Guitar Gently Weeps, you only need to get at least 85% on one of them. I personally don't use them but if you'd like to you can use the solo buttons on the bottom of the neck of the guitar. When you use these you don't need to strum, just hit the notes.

If you cannot reach a solo because the song is too hard for you, then you can turn on no fail mode and still get this trophy.

If you are stuck on a solo, go into practice mode and try to break it up into pieces and learn it. Slowing it down can help tremendously. After you beat the last song with a solo in it that you need you will get the trophy.

If you are playing through on expert, make sure that you get over 85% on the solos, you can check whether you have missed any by the checklist on the achievement menu.
