How to unlock the Gear Guitarist achievement in The Beatles Rock Band - Definitive Guide

*This Achievement is a combined total of all your high scores in each song. You only get points once for each song (meaning you can't play one song 20 times and those points will add up to get the achievement).

This achievement works basically by compiling your high score for every song and the total of all the songs added up equals your Career score. So if the first song you played, you scored let's say... 80,000 and then you went back and improved your previous score to 100,000, your total for your Career score off of the first song you played would be 100,000 not 180,000. So to put it into perspective. I play on Expert and have 100% on every song so far in the 1st Venue and my score stands at 354,889/1,000,000. I have a total of seven venues remaining so I'll have plenty of time to accumulate a total of 1 Million. If you're playing lower difficulties you'll still be solid if you're playing well. Let's say you score an average of 50,000 per song; by the end of 40 songs you'll have double what you need (2,000,000).

Remember some tips to help you:
1. Execute solid Beatlemania (Star Power) deployment. Meaning for consecutive notes and especially chords.
2. Try your best on the solo's as the bonus points at the end can REALLY add up. Take advantage of Hammer-On's and Pull-Off's, they're your friend!! : )
3. Keep that multiplier as high as you can. Keep focus and try not to miss those silly notes. (People really don't think that missing a note here and there means anything, but I assure you if you miss notes here and there and are on a lower difficulty it's a pain to gain your multiplier back up to 4x again as there are significantly less notes versus if you play on Expert, you can gain your multiplier back up again in a matter of seconds).

An important note: challenges don't contribute to the career score.

This can be on any difficulty, obviously the higher it is, the quicker it'll go. Quickplay counts just as well as story mode. It only counts your best score per song, though, so playing the same song multiple times won't help you. However, you must play the songs solo. If you play with someone else, it won't count.

Depends on what difficulty you're playing on and how well you do, but you can usually get this after playing about half the songs on the disc.

Note you can do this in quickplay too but scores earned toward DLC don't seem to count.

i would just like to add that you can casually play the story on easy, and get around 900k and after then did the first set list on medium and got well over a million. just a tip if you struggle to play on hard or expert.
