How to unlock the Pick a Moon Dog achievement in The Beatles Rock Band - Definitive Guide
The main things to look out for here are a couple of awfully tricky patterns after the solo.
Verse 3A is one of the main sections that can trip you up. Watch out for the tricky rhythm of the pull-offs after Lennon sings "you can indicate everything you see" for the first time. Immediately afterwards there's a complicated hammer-on section that is easy to perform but definitely needs lots of practising.
Verse 3B isn't too bad, but there are one or two things to be wary of. There's a sneaky hammer-on that you might normally be tempted to strum after the section where you repeatedly strum RY and hammer-on to YB. Similarly, there's an awkward pull-off right as Lennon finishes singing "you can syndicate any boat you row, I told you so".
It's smooth sailing from there until the dreaded outro. Oh yes! There is a trill, and it wants to make you cry. You absolutely need to practise this section, or you may very well end up gently weeping all over your plastic guitar. You'll face a RY chord, and a trill that alternates from Y,B,Y,B to a slightly faster R,Y,R,Y,R,Y, etc. I find it helps to begin by hitting the chord with the first and second fingers of your fretboard hand on the red and yellow buttons, respectively. Hold them there and have your third finger at the ready over the blue. Strum the yellow and then tap the blue when you need to. Pull off at the red so you're left with only your first finger down, and then concentrate on tapping the yellow with your second finger when necessary.
Phew. An over-elaborate description, but hopefully it'll help. Best of luck! And when in doubt; picture the fingers.

This is the hardest of the "hammer-on" achievements. The whole song is littered with parts that can trip up even the best players. One thing to be aware of are the chord HOPOs. They can be tricky to master, try to slide your whole hand to hit them instead of switching fingers. The toughest parts of the song that you will likely want to practice a bunch are after the solo. There is a part with a series quick ascending triplets with alternating notes between them, and a trill at the very end that will make you want to scream if you miss, so make sure to try those parts in practice mode before even attempting the song.

I had 100% going into the thrill, missed the last 3 notes, and I screamed. So yea, that part sucks.

I missed the trill once, but what really made me freak out was when I hit the whole trill but i accidentally strummed on instinct when it dropped a note. I got 100% but no ach. I said many a dirty word.

The best way to do this is to go into practice mode, and do outro over and over again until you can 100% most of the time. The hard parts are repeated in the outro, so it lets you practice everything, including the end. It's much easier to do it this way. Then going to section to section.
Make sure you have your index finger on the red button most of the time. As it's easier to move your hand up to green then the pinkie finger to orange. This also helps your ring and pinkie finger work together easier. There is a trill a bit after the solo, but it's not to hard to be honest, but you can practice that if you like.
It's also worth noting that skipping notes makes it easier to get the Double note HO/POs, and the last two HO/POs in the solo.

I think that this is the hardest of the hammer on trophies. You need to have some quick fingers to move across the buttons fast. There are also a few tricky parts that you will need to look out for. The beginning is repeated a lot through the song and you shouldn't have too much trouble with it. The end of the solo can be tricky if you are not paying attention as you may accidently strum on that double note. The last tricky part in the song is the last part of the song. It may be hard for you to figure out the tempo and speed you need to do that last part. With some practice though this trophy should come.
This achievement can be frustrating, get used to the rhythm and practice it if necessary. You don't have to 100% the song, just hit all of the HOPOs without strumming any of them, meaning that if you miss a normal note and the following note is a HOPO, you will not be able to get the achievement. It helps to 100% it so that you don't get confused.
