To perform a legendary catch, you'll need a player with a Legendary Glove (Instead of stars next to the glove symbol, it'll say "Legendary" in Gold).
There are Five types of legendary catches. Successfully Complete ONE of these to get the achievement. The easiest to achieve is the home-run legendary catch. Just pitch with a tip-off (Pitch bar in the red) to the batter's wheelhouse. Don't do that against a player that hits No-Doubter home runs like David Ortiz or Ryan Howard.
Infield Legendary Catch:
With a line drive hit, a Large Target will appear with the word Legendary in it, and a picture of the "A" Button. HOLD The appropriate button until the word "Release" Appears. Failure results with you dropping the ball, and can incapacitate your infielder for a few seconds.
Outfield Legendary Catch (Non-Home Run):
When running towards the fly ball, hit "A" when the circle turns Green. Your catch will become slow motion when done successfully. A Button May or May Not Appear right away (Translucent if it does), but when the button becomes Opaque, PRESS IT. If you hit it too early, or too late, you'll fail it (There should be a prompt for when to press the appropriate button). Failure results in a dropped ball, and incapacitates your outfielder for a couple of seconds.

This Usually happens to the catcher. A grid will appear with a button in the middle. A line will move horizontally, and than vertically. When the Line Hits the Centre, Press That Button. The line will turn green for a hit, and red for a miss. Failure results in a foul ball.
