How to unlock the Textbook Perfection achievement in The BIGS 2 - Definitive Guide

To get this achievement, you need to win via a “Perfect” game. A minimum of 5 innings is required.

A Perfect game is when No One on the opponent’s team gets on base. No hits, No Walked batters. No one on base during the entire game. It can be quite frustrating to achieve.

Select a team with an excellent pitcher, or pick an overall excellent team (Red Sox, Yankees, or an All-Star team). Make sure that there are outfielders in your line-up with a “Legendary” glove. – At least Centre-Field and Right-Field, balls are hit towards them more often. This will give you a Far better chance of catching those long balls. Keep your fastest outfield playing Centre-Field.

Pitch outside the batter’s Wheelhouse. It gives the batter less power if they do hit it. There’s also a lesser chance that they’ll hit the ball. It does gives you less turbo per pitch. If you need the turbo, then pitch inside their wheelhouse. Be prepared though if they hit the ball.

Have some turbo saved up for when you’re on the Defence. In case your opponent manages to knock a ball into the outfield where you couldn’t get without turbo in time. Or if they get enough points to execute a “Big Slam” or “Big Blast”, you can use the turbo to strike out the batter.

To count as a hit, the batter has to reach first base. Catching a fly ball, or throwing a grounder out, won’t count against you.

Having a "Legendary Glove" attribute on your 3 outfielders will definitely help if an opposing player is a home-run kind of batter.

an additional trick that I used, which I picked up in another guide on this site, is..after you take a lead in the first...just bunt every time you're up. It gives the other team no turbo points and no chance of great or legendary catches.

All i did, was made a pitcher in Create-a-player. I made him 5 star at all pitches except 4 at one. Then put him on the Twins. (Joe Mauer's power-up is +1 to all pitches). Then just pick a team with bad hitting like the pirates, and go for strikeouts. I won the game 19-0 with 15 strikeouts. Struck out every player

I did this achievement while doing my "become a legend" season. When i went to Japan for the first time i used Jake Peavy which i i got by player steal and the first team you face in Japan isn't a good hitting team. Got it with ease.

This appears to be somewhat glitched in a positive way. I lost a game 1-0, allowing only some Fielders choices for throwing to the wrong base on accident (no hits, no walks) and got credit for both the perfect game and the no hitter (in my first ever time playing the game).

Throw a five inning perfect game with your pitcher. Set the difficulty to Easy and use a great pitcher on an All Star team against an extremely weak offensive teams such as Seattle or San Francisco. Focus on throwing perfect pitches and on shrinking the wheelhouses of good players in the first two innings as it's a lot more frustrating to give up a hit to a solid player in the 4th or 5th inning than in the 1st.

"Textbook" trophies can and should be obtained in ONE five-inning game. The main thing is to be able to make good serves. When you are on the attack, hold down the feed button so that the strength meter is filled to the maximum.

So, make sure the game difficulty is set to easy. Choose a team with a great pitcher. I recommend the San Francisco Giants with T. Lincecum, because... he has two legendary pitches. As an opponent we take San Guerrero Pollos (this team is fictional and the worst in the game). An important part of this game will be to accumulate turbos and make good serves. The main thing is to throw the ball so that it flies further from the pitcher's base and use turbo if they still hit the ball. This will help you quickly get to the ball and strike out the runner. Use BIg Heat rather than Big Blast (for the pitcher). If you make a strike with a Big Heat, you will get points for another Big Heat. Stick to this tactic for all five innings and the trophy is yours.
