How to unlock the Times Square Master achievement in The BIGS 2 - Definitive Guide

The way I was able to score 1Mill+ pretty easily for each HR pinball venue was to use this technique. Times Square was the hardest, but still not bad.

1.Learn which target groups trigger the bonus target for the venue (they usually require between 3-6 hits to activate) and then hit all but one of the targets. Do this to multiple target sets (I prefer to get 3 or 4 groups to the point where they all have just 1 hit left to trigger the bonus), but don't trigger the bonus yet.
2.Acquire enough points to get your Big Blast meter full, but don't trigger it.
3.Pick off the last target of the groups you set up in step one. Ideally, you are looking to get a bonus target of x3 x4 or even x5, but x2 isn't bad either and I've even settled for multi-balll or pitch mania.
4.Once you trigger the bonus energize your Big Blast and proceed to hit the major targets at the venue that score the big points (i.e., fartest away targets, plus blimp at vegas and monster at tokyo). Since most of these targets score 50K, the points can really rack up quick especially if you were lucky enough to get the x3,x4,or x5 multiplier as your bonus target.
5. Rinse and repeat. I can usually score 1M using this technique by the time shortly after the pitcher has added his 4th pitch to his arsenal.

As a side note, if I have run though all the target groups I've preseeded in step 1 and don't unfortunately get a bonus multiplier. I'll usually go ahead and use my Big Blast without a multiplier in place and afterwards begin preseeding the target groups again, because that whole process will fill the Big Blast meter again, so it's pointless to save it at that point.

Thankfully, this is NOWHERE as hard as it was in the original 'The BIGS,' because the targets reset (come back online) much, much faster.

For a hitter, it shouldn't matter who you choose, but I chose Albert Pujols (St. Louis Cardinals), because both his hitting stats were legendary.

The BIG scoring targets are the blue building to the left of you (30,000 points, unlimited hits), the Globe in the top center of the map (30,000 points, unlimited hits), and the green... thing on the top right (20,000 points, one hit).

Note that when I say "unlimited," I mean it'll come back online. As far I know, only the green thing in the right hand corner can be hit once.

You earn a BIG BLAST every 100,000 points, which lets you hit these BIG targets, but it's up to you to decide if you should fire it off ASAP, or wait until you get a score multiplier.

The targets you can hit to activate a bonus target are:
- The PARK sign, every letter.
- The BCG globe, the letters than the globe itself.
- The CASTLE sign, every letter.
- The HOTEL sign, every letter.
- The taxicabs in front, every cab.
- The signs to the right of the cabs (below the 2K billboard)

I found that the HOTEL sign usually gave me a multiplier, but it varies. I got a whopping 4X, but again, it varies if you can get that or just a wimpy extra ball.

Now, the game gets harder the longer it lasts. The pitcher throws different pitches (Going from Fastball, Slider, Curveball, and Changeup) in random orders at increasingly fast speeds. If you nail the pitcher with a hit, he'll throw a "super pitch" which is either super fast or super slow, depending on the pitch. You seem to get an extra ball every 50,000 points or so, so there is a decent room for error.

Other than that, everything else is exactly the same for this level as it was in The BIGS. Everything else I didn't add is found in the guide for 1,000,000 in that game.

If this achievement scared you before (believe me, I STILL can't do it), don't be as intimidated the second time around. This is WAY easier, and will come with not to much practice.

This is the same level as in the first Bigs. The best scoring zones (10,000 per hit) are the signs hit with the up+left and up+right power swings. Try to save the power swing accumulated with the gain of 100,000 points for when you have a multiplier activated and aim for the New Years' Ball, the green thing on the upper right, and the blue screen on the upper left. This is a much easier achievement than in the first game as spaces you have hit recover much more quickly in this game.

I recommend using David Ortiz or Manny Ramirez as a “batter” to knock out all trophies of this type.

At this level you need to combine attacks using And .

Let's move on to the goals themselves:

1. Neon sign PARK - hit 4 times / aim up and slightly to the left and hit with .

2. Neon sign HOTEL - hit 5 times / aim up and slightly to the right and hit with .

3. Globe BCG - hit 4 times / aim up and slightly to the left and hit with .

4. Castle sign - hit 6 times / aim up and slightly to the right and hit with .

5. Red neon - hit 5 times / aim to the right and hit with .

6. Street lights (pillars) - hit 6 times / without aiming, hit with .

There are also 3 bonus targets that you can hit like this (to do this you need to accumulate Big Blast):

1. Aim slightly up and to the left and hit with (blue glass building behind the BCG globe).

2. Aim up and hit with (The New Years Eve Ball).

3. Aim to the left and hit with .
