How to unlock the 250,000 Points achievement in The BIGS - Definitive Guide
The Home run pinball may have you addicted trying to get to that million points. Since I could never get it despite my long attempt, here's how to get the 250,000 at least.
Start by choosing a player who hits well of course. I chose Vlad Guerrero every time. Start by aiming for the letters either on the left or the right (aim the control stick that way). Once you knock all them out you'll unlock a bonus sign. Aim for it by pressing up on the left analog stick and try to hit that.
Next take out the letters on the side that you didn't grab. I'm going off memory here. On the left side there is a globe. That has a couple letters on it. Knock out all those and that will active the bonus for three turns. There is a 5 letter sign on the right side, and another couple letter sign beyond that. The one farther away is obviously worth more points per letter. Ideally aim for that.
Grab that multiplyer.
Anytime you hit a 100,000 point milestone you can pull both triggers to activate the 'glass ball' of time square. Wait to hit it until you get a multiplyer going if you want to get this done fast and painless. Otherwise, since hitting it is worth about 50,000 points, and since you are only going for 250,000, you can do it whenever you want. Just remember, while you are "stalling", waiting to press those triggers, you aren't working towards refilling the bar.
