Use power swings but aim all the way left or right, don't aim up. It's too easy to get homers. Pull right trigger for extra power. Easy to get with fast or slow runners.

The best way to get doubles is to hold up and to the right on the left stick, then use a contact swing (
) to hit the ball. Once the ball is in the air, hold up and to the left on the 
to make the runner go past first and head to second, then just to be safe, hit again to slide into second.
