How to unlock the Judas achievement in The Binding of Isaac: Repentance - Definitive Guide
Satan is a boss found in the post-womb level, Sheol. To get to it, you will need to kill Mom's Heart 11 times total then go down the trap door spawned after killing It Lives (the boss that replaces Mom's Heart after doing so) in any following run, or by spawning a devil deal on the floor you kill Mom's Heart in and going down the trap door there.
Sheol is a dark one-floor long stage. Like The Womb before it, you will always take an entire heart of damage when getting hit unless you have The Wafer or some other form of damage protection. I won't be covering the enemies here as most of them are enemies you've seen before or variations on enemies you've seen. The boss, however, does require a bit of strategy.
The boss is split into three phases. Phase 1 sees you just fighting The Fallen. Nothing special here, you've probably already fought it. Phase 2 is where things get interesting. The statue in the room comes to life and starts fighting you. I prefer to stay directly below him while he's not attacking, as it enables you to dodge a specific attack that he does sometimes, as well as get shots in easier. There are three attacks he does in this phase:
1: Satan fires multiple rounds of shots toward you. This is when I stop being below him and just focus on dodging the bullets. Pretty self-explanatory.
2: Satan fires two beams diagonally which slowly turn to be parallel, leaving a gap in the middle. This is why I stay directly below Satan, as it'll give you the most time to get to the middle while also ensuring you don't get instantly hit.
3: Satan fires a beam directly down. Again, pretty easy, just stay out of the way and watch out for telegraphing.
Once you've emptied Satan's health bar, Phase 3 begins. Satan will begin to stomp his feet down, like Mom's stomp attack, while spawning black Leeches that explode. This one's easy, just run in a large circle around the room while shooting in the opposite direction of where you're moving to hit the legs, while also taking care to shoot at the leeches when they spawn. Pretty easy. After that, congratulations! You've beaten Satan, and unlocked Judas!
