How to unlock the Luddite achievement in The Bookwalker: Thief of Tales - Definitive Guide

Book 7 cannot be done via chapter select. Once done with Book 6, the game progresses right into Book 7.
Artifacts can be picked up (actually the first 5 can't be avoided). Just be sure during the various dialog options, not to select any of the artifact items to progress the story/battle. Either select walk/sneak past, and/or attack when walking by the various groups of enemies. During the battles, be sure not to select the artifact option (voodoo doll, book, scythe, ect.) when fighting.
Once the third round of fighting is done and in the boss's room the achievement uplocked for me.

This didn't pop for me until the start of the epilogue, simultaneously with the achievement for completing Book 7.

My achievement also unlocked once Book 7 ended and the Epilogue started.

This didn't pop for me until the start of the epilogue, simultaneously with the achievement for completing Book 7.

It is possible to get Jack of Trades and Luddite without doing chapter select and replaying all of chapter 6.
DO JACK OF ALL TRADES BEFORE DOING LUDDITE
The reason I say to do Jack of All Trades before luddite is because (at least for me) the jack of all trades popped before speaking to the boss whereas luddite didnt pop until the epilogue meaning if you do luddite first you might have to chapter select and redo the entire book 6 if it pops late for you.
When you get to the black and white part of book 7 you will be given a choice between the doll or the book. Pick Either. You will also be given the broom, cloak, wand and toxin.
At the first fight use broom, than wand. Fight. Make sure to use whatever item you picked earlier (Book or doll). And pick up either the blaster or bottle.
At the 2nd fight DO NOT USE TOXIN. Use cloak and if you didnt use wand earlier you can also use it now. Beat the enemy using the blaster or bottle. Pick up either shield or scythe.
At the 3rd fight use toxin. Win the fight using the scythe or shield. Go up the stairs into the boss room. DO NOT TALK. As soon as you see the autosave in the top right corner (looks like a little star) quit the game. Main menu sometimes glitches the game so its better to completely quit.
Upon selecting continue you will be at the end of book 6 just before the start of book 7. Now just choose the exact opposite items that you chose previously. Upon using the last item during fight 3 (before stairs) your achievement should pop. If not you must have missed a artifact.
You can now once again quit and continue to be at the end of book 6 and you can now go for the Luddite achievement.

Note: to get both the Luddite and Jack of All Trades achievements, you need to make multiple (A minimum of 3, I believe) playthroughs of Book 7. However, book 7 cannot be accessed through chapter select after completing it. You have to replay book 6 in its entirety to gain access to book 7 again. I recommend playing through the three combats while using as many of the artifacts first, then exiting and reloading the chapter, use the remaining artifacts, to get Jack of All Trades first. Then exit the chapter again after the third combat, continue again, and do the three combats without artifacts to get Luddite.
Note: When exiting and continuing Book 7, I encountered a glitch where I returned to the interlude between books 6 and 7 but everything was frozen. I had to close the game out entirely and relaunch it in order to continue and replay Book 7 properly.
