Where do you put the picture in the third book?

You put it on the wall in the picture hall, the problem is that there seems to be multiple triggers for fake paintings. The one you need is the picture of a man, so far I've seen at least two other pictures that won't work and the game does not bother to inform you that it is the wrong one.

I didn't check the door before starting the first book but I still got the achievement. I woke up after placing the correct painting and received a phone call from the police about the downstairs apartment. After I finished book 3, the door opened. I walked in and the achievement popped. Just for reference.

Access to the apartment will appear after the 4th book, when the police tapes on it are torn off.

You can enter this apartment in the fourth chapter.
Whether it was necessary to poke around in it in the previous chapters or not, I cannot confirm, but I poked around.
