How to unlock the Drift Like a Tester achievement in The Crew 2 - Definitive Guide

This one will definitely require some practice, so don't give up on the first try. The first thing you must do before even starting this achievement is unlocking the drift events, which happens very early on in the game, and unlocking a drift car. I personally used the Ford Focus RS (Drift Edition), but any car, such as the Mazda RX7 (drift Edition) should work.

Now, you can pretty easily score 100,000 points with the stock settings as upgrades aren’t needed. They do help in some ways and you might be able to unlock some during your trial and error runs as you get a feel for drifting.

The easiest track for this is Airport Terminal D, which is the first drift event you unlock. You have 2 minutes to get 100,000 points and you want to make sure that you don’t crash into anything as it will void your multiplier. The multiplier is the key to gaining those points as you want to keep it going higher and higher (the max multiplier you can have is x50) to gain a ton of points on one or two drifts. When the road goes straight you must drift left and right just so that the drift/multiplier doesn’t end. When the car isn’t drifting, the multiplier starts flashing and you only have a few seconds to start a drift to keep it alive.

If you are like me and aren't a god at drifting, this will take a bit of practice. You need to get to know the track and get a feel for when to accelerate and when to use nitrous, as it can be helpful if you get too close to the guardrail. It's all about holding your drifts and getting the multiplier up higher so that your points just come rolling in.
Here is a video guide from PowerPyx for those that would like a visual guide. All credit goes to him for the video:

Edit: LuxusFrontier mentioned that the maximum multiplier can be increased to 75 as you can spend up to 25 icon points to the "Slippery" game play enhancement which increases the multiplier by x1 per point spent on it.

For people attempting this, you can do the course in reverse for the terminal D. I took a right turn after the start and went that way. I found it a lot easier to keep the chain going and got 130K points on the second attempt. If you are struggling to complete this give it a try!!

No neg vote but I vote for Airport Terminal E, not D. I found it much easier there.

Can confirm, did Airport Terminal E on my second try. You can actually afford to break combo once or twice.

Thank you so much Onyx Grimoire for your comment!! Spent 1 hour with a different car on Terminal E, couldn't get past 60k, tried on Terminal D with the RUF 3400K, got it first try!!

Onyx, great comment!
I used the car you mentioned, no upgrades. Worked like a charm!
Also, instead of focusing on drifting (which I am not the greatest at), I just focused on "racing" the track without any collisions. Got it on my 2nd try after failing miserably with other cars numerous times.

If anyone is still having problems: Changing the transmission from manual to sequential helped me a lot. I put the car (I used the Ruf) in second gear and got much longer and more easily manageable drifts.

For anyone trying this now there is new tracks which are easier. Second Track gives you a loan vehicle and has wide roads and turns making it easy to keep the drift going. There is also a tutorial line on the ground showing you were to drive/drift to avoid crashing into the walls.

This was definitely the way to do it. First attempt. Thanks RandomAnt :)

Got this on Terminal D without too much trouble on my second attempt. Lost my drift combo at 48x, but it pushed me all the way to 90k, with 35 seconds remaining. So I managed to squeeze in a 12k combo just as the timer hit zero. Like the solution says, practice, practice, practice. I also went in reverse, as the course seems more forgiving if you go that way.

The car I used was the RUF 3400 K. Got that bit of advice from a site named Gamepressure. Its handling is extremely generous, so if you suck at drifting, (Like I did at first) save up your money for that car and upgrade it accordingly. It'll make a huge difference.

This can be completed in the "Airport Terminal D" Drift Event. Make sure you set the event difficulty to hard for the Hard Way to Hell achievement / trophy. Use any drift vehicle you are comfortable with and keep an eye on your multiplier. You should be able to reach a multiplier of 50 if you do not hit any walls and maintain your drifts. This may take a couple tries, but keep at it.

Here is a video guide with English commentary!

The best events for this trophy are the "Airport Terminal D Drift" or the "Airport Terminal E Drift" events. I used the Mazda RX7. It is best to save this trophy until you are grinding out your car’s max level.

The aim here is to achieve a multiplier of 50 by not hitting any walls or obstacles. You need to achieve near enough a continuous drift through the course so this one may take some practice. I would suggest that you do not go too fast as this makes it more likely to crash and also on straight bits I did small drifts so that I kept the multiplier going. If you do find your back end drifting towards a wall, you can use a blast of nitrous to straighten yourself. When your multiplier starts flashing on the screen, it means it is about to expire so make sure you pull off a small drift to keep it going. This took me several attempts, just keep restarting the event until you get it (you might also unlock Act Like a Game Designer here).

The very first race. Airport terminal "D". Leave it for later, when you knock out the legend. Invest legendary points into the drift multiplier.

For me it was easier to do it at “terminal E” - the penultimate race, where you need to score 40k

Switching the transmission mode from “automatic” to “manual” helped a lot. During the race, we play with revs in 2-3 gears and do not forget to avoid obstacles.

Sliding on the Miami track is the easiest track. Turns are smooth, without any strain at all it is done the first time. Sometimes you just let off the gas; you don’t even need to work hard.

I personally recommend the event "Sliding on the Maimi Track." A wide track with fairly smooth turns. It didn’t work out the first time - I scored 98.5k. But the second one came out to more than a hundred. Moreover, you can drift 60 thousand at once in one series.

Let’s say I completed it the first time on Terminal E using a shelby gt500 . I scored 100k in the first minute somewhere. And my legendary points for Game Process are distributed like this:
Hothead 16 of 25
Slippery 16 out of 25
