How to unlock the Epic Win achievement in The Crew 2 - Definitive Guide
If you're lucky, you may earn enough epic parts (pink) throughout completing the game to earn this. If not, you'll have to grind. The most reliable way to earn parts is to redo races. It may also be helpful to combine this achievement with the car you're going to achieve this:
For me, I redid Latrell's first event in the Hypercar Division on hard difficulty. For a ~10 minute race, you receive 80k bucks, 11k fans, and anywhere from 8-10 loot crates at the end (almost guaranteed more than one epic). Also, remember to equip parts that increase loot quality--every little bit helps. Even on normal, the race will reward you with about the same amount of crates, but at lesser average quality. So, hard is recommended if you can win easily.
While the recommended Perf is 290, I found the AI in the race to be on par (if not a little easier) than they are on normal difficulty. I used the Agera R. With enough upgrades, the McLaren P1 you get from Tito is surely capable of winning the event too.
This is a very subjective achievement. If you have another vehicle with almost all epic parts, focus on that and redo events you can win. But Latrell's race is good for gaining epic parts, raising Perf, and reaching Icon level 50 all at the same time.
One other source of epic parts is Icon level rewards. For going up ten levels, you receive a reward, and most of these are epic parts (Go to Pilot -> Timeline). Note: the reward is based on the car you are currently driving, so keep that in mind when trying to get all epic parts for a certain vehicle.
Edit: Nevermind, restarted the game, put other part, put it back again and it unlocked
Something important that can help you is scrapping parts you don't need. You receive some points you can reinvest and changing your boost effects of your car parts. I was aiming for loot quality. After using my icon points to raise this stat and upgrading epic parts that way, epic and legendary parts appeared way more often and these parts can have a buff thats add up to 25% raised chance to get better parts. With a high enough stat epic parts are not realy special any more. I was bit unlucky and missed one epic part all the time, but had a whole set of legendarys. I hope you have better luck than me!
Raising the quantity of your loot gives you the chance for an extra part, but most of the time it was not epic and just a standard part. This buff can help with the max stat achievement for your car, because here the color doesn't matter at all.
I don't think you need it, but i add a video clip me doing this event on the hardest difficutly the first time. I did the 10 minutes race many times before, so my car had already good parts included, but i'm pretty sure you can do it a bit earlier.
I used an Alpha car. The reason: in the Xtreme Series I had problems winning the events 5 and the grand finale. Both of these events have an Alpha car section. So I figured I would focus to level this car up.
I used the shortest track Jersey City. It is the only one with a World Record below 2 min. My fastest time was around 2:13. It will still take 3-4 or more hours to max out the car and eventually have a pink part for each categorie.
Way to much detail on the track itself:
The game kind cheats on you by holding back the last pink item you need. You will have multiple pinks for all other parts but juuuuuuust not the last one you need.
Make sure to hold Y when you finished the track as this will quick repeat the event. There is just enough time to pick up the loot. But even if you don't pick them up you can find those loot boxes in your post inbox in your headquarter (in the menu -> Activities tab -> you can access your HQ, it is the first option on the left; after it has spawned you in front of a guy in a booth you have to walk down to a container to pick up your loot [who thought this was a good idea?]).
All in all this achievement is a really bad decision by the devs. In a game that has such an open world they make you repeat the same track over and over again (either on this track or one from the other solutions). As unlike the first Crew game you can not earn parts in tests. Would have been far more fun to tackle some getaways, slalom, best lines and high speed with the Hyper or Alpha cars.
The epic parts are the purple parts that you occasionally win during events. You need to have all 7 slots of your car filled with purple parts to unlock this trophy. It does not matter what level they are, they just need to be purple to count. You can increase the frequency of epic loot drops by investing Icon Points into the Lucky perk and also playing hard events. It is best to do this one whilst going for the Max Out Fury Load. You will need to farm the "Airport Terminal D" Drift event. Whenever you earn a purple part, don't scrap it! Keep playing the event until you get all 7 part slots filled with epic parts. When you reach car level 235 open your Icon Rewards as these will guarantee an epic part.
This trophy is incredibly luck based but hopefully you will earn it as you max your car out. If not, just keep farming that drift event until you get it.
If the trophy does not appear, try re-logging in.
