How to unlock the Domestic Tourist achievement in The Crew - Definitive Guide

You need to visit all 242/242 Landmarks within the United States. When you see one simply enter it by stopping your vehicle on the icon and pressing . You will get a small cash award of 2000 bucks and 25XP for every landmark you visit for the first time. When you’re watching landmark cutscene, you can press to see how many landmarks you have visited within each region and in total. Landmarks can be revealed on the map by tapping into data stations.

EDIT 23/12/14 - This achievement is buggy and has been unlocking at different times for some players.

You don't need all 242 landmarks only 151 are needed for Domestic Tourist, leaves me thinking there will be other parts of the world to open up via DLC for the rest.

Actually for achievement required 210 Landmarks from 242. ( Date of earned achievement: December 23 of 2014 )
Note: Some Landmarks Icons very well hidden/hard to spot behind City Titles, Zones Titles, Data Stations Icons & ect.
If You missing some, scroll in game cursor slowly over them & eventually You will find them all.

I think it must be different for everyone. I had to visit all 242 to unlock the achievement. The awards is the only solid way to track your progress it seems, as the landmark counter itself was wrong in every region for me.

Possibly, game - unfortunately has a lot of glitches. I visited also all landmarks on my map, only I had - 210, no more. Where are others 32, only knows Ubi. )

I just got it to unlock with 2 sites missing. This game is seriously screwed up. I couldn't even locate the Midwest spot I needed.

You may need to zoom in slightly, also go to the hub challenges>awards>explore>free drive>landmarks. I needed the required 242 to pop the achievement

The easiest way to get this achievement is to beat the game and find all radars. It will reveal the location of everything on the map. Then go to the "Explore" section of the map, press "X" to filter, and only show the missing landmarks.

This game is a joke, visit all 242 and no achievement. Second achievement glitch for me. Platinum on all missions and visit all landsmark, 125 gamerscore. If i knew this i would never start play this garbage. Got the award in the game award system that i found 242 but no achievement of course.

Unlocked just fine for me just now, Niagara Falls was hiding from me up in the East Coast. Figures, the closest landmark to me in real life would have to be the last one I actually find. laugh

This solution includes:

1) Basic Info
2) How to Find Your Stats
3) Quickly Finding Them on the Map
4) Upgrades and Fast Travelling
5) Data Stations Quick Link

1) It will take around 2-3.5 hours depending on how many you picked up during story mode etc. The numbers for each region are:

-Midwest 66
-East Coast 31
-The South 53
-Mountain States 39
-West Coast 53

2) To find your stats you need to activate a landmark (newly discovered or not) and press square to 'toggle display' this will show you how many you have found in each area.

3) To find those last few remaining landmarks; Open the map >> put your courser over empty space >> press square to show filters menu >> press R1 to the exploration tab >> landmarks to undiscovered >> data station to undiscovered >> hidden car to discovered >> zoom out enough to see all states >> turn the right stick in all directions until it snaps onto a landmark.

4) An annoying part of this trophy is getting over difficult terrain, up mountains, over rivers etc. Fast travelling can make this a lot less frustrating so max out "The New World" perk for a bigger discovery radius and just fast travel when you need to.

5) Finding all data stations will make finding landmarks much easier, they all appear on the map from the start of the game but one is hard to find in the mountain states because it blends in with the white terrain, It's at 5:40 in this video TrueAchievements
