This is as easy as it sounds. As soon as you're able to join a crew, either join one or invite someone to join and start an event. there you will have the option to race in co-op, or single. choose co-op. After the Race you'll get the achievement

Odd no one has mentioned this the last three years, but you don't need to do the mission WITH your crew. I searched and was placed in a crew but they refused to accept my invite to the mission so I just clicked Solo. After it was done, the achievement popped.

You can get in a Crew through two methods; you can press  to bring up the Crew menu and select a player either in your session or your friends list who are online and playing the game, select their profile then click Invite to Crew. The second method is to select a mission on the map then choose Play > Crew Coop, at which point the game will send everyone in your session a crew invite to play the mission. Once in a Crew, proceed to finish the mission.
