I must be doing something wrong, because I've done the out west faction mission 100 times over the past couple of days and earned 20,000 rep points, but my faction spoils is sitting at $1,800 and has so for the last 3 days cry

It's a glitch, mine has gone down from 9000 bucks to 3000. I got back up to 5500 bucks and again it went down to 3500 bucks. I started a ticket on Ubisoft.com but doubt they'll help.

Not surprising since I was at 7,153/8047 kilometres and the game reset it to a little over 1,000. It's not at all surprising that this doesn't work either. Looks like I might wait for a patch, that's if they ever get around to making one.

That sucks. I wanted to start the 5000 miles tomorrow but if we are forced to do in one sitting then forget that..

The 10,000 salary is not glitched it is based on your standing in whichever faction you are a member of. If your salary lowers it is because enough people have surpassed you in that faction to lower your rank. Meaning you have to maintain your rep level in each region compared to other members of your faction.

Belonging to the thirdmost faction, I did like three faction missions (10min, 10min, 22 min) and got this a few days later. Not a difficult cheevo at all.

Ok thanks for that. I just did a bunch of faction missions in all five regions and when I booted the game little past midnight, it popped at 10,368 bucks.

Would like to input that it doesn't have to be at the first of the month to obtain this and is easiest done with just pvp races. if you have the time to race several hours a day for 2 days you can get this. i would know me and another person did it on a saturday and sunday and it popped the next day when i got the daily payout. doesn't matter how many award points you have as the bonus either. Faction missions are a waste of time and sending people on them is a waste of time. you can get triple the points in 3 hrs of pvp than you can the 9 missions you send friends on and do yourself. as long as you get the Under boss rank in one region and thug in the others it'll pop.

Daily Salary Calculation
Your daily salary is calculated in quite a complicated manner that involves 3 elements:

• The rank of your faction in each of the 5 regions.
• Your rank within your faction in each of the 5 regions
• Your total number of Award Points and the resulting % Daily Salary Bonus.

Of these 3 elements, your rank within your faction in each of the 5 regions is by far the most important.

In terms of calculation method, the rank of your faction and your rank within the faction in each region is added together to determine a total ‘Daily Salary’. Your award % bonus is then added to that salary. For example:

East Coast Daily Salary: $460
Midwest Daily salary: $800
South Daily Salary: $460
Mountains Daily Salary; $1200
West Coast Daily Salary; $3700
Total Daily Income: $6,620

Awards Bonus %: 22%
Awards Bonus Value: £$1,324
Total Daily Salary: $7,944.

The following will now go through each of the key elements involved in raising your daily salary.

The Rank of Your Faction
In every region, for every month so far, Wolves have always been the number 1 faction. I don’t see that ever changing because community stats show that 71% of players are in the Wolves faction and as the ranking is based on aggregated points and not an ‘average points per member’ basis, they’ll likely never be moved from the number 1 spot.

However, this is the least important aspect of your daily salary and because Wolves is so over-populated it’s very hard to move up the ranks within it. I therefore recommend that you align yourself with one of the other 4 factions. Personally, I chose Bears as they consistently get the number 2 spot but have a low player count meaning it’s easier to move up the ranks.

RECOMMENDATION: Choose a faction other than Wolves – preferably Bears.

Your Rank within your chosen faction
This is where the bulk of your money is earned. Your rank within a faction is based upon how many Reputation Points (RP) you earn for that faction compared to all of the other players in that same faction. The ranks are:

•Boss: Only one player will be able to hold this title in each region
•Under Boss: The 0.5% of top players
•Street Boss: The next 5% of players
•Lieutenant: The next 12.5% of players
•Thug: The next 25% of players
•Gangsta: The next 57% of players
•Rookie: Players in a faction with little (if any) reputation within a faction. These players will still recieve a small salary.

This means that, covertly, Ubisoft are sticking you in a worldwide leaderboard with other gamers that you’ll have to compete with to earn a high enough rank to unlock a big enough salary for the achievement.

There are 2 things you need to consider when trying to move up the ranks of your faction:

• How you intend to earn your reputation points
• Which regions you are going to concentrate on.

Earning Reputation Points
To earn enough reputation points to move up the ranks of your faction you can do 3 things:

• Play PvP Races
• Complete faction missions
• Send Your Friends on Faction Missions

Your time will be best spent combing playing PvP Races and sending Friend on faction Missions. Doing faction missions yourself takes way too much time for a very poor RP return.

Firstly, ensure that you max out the 'Notorious' perk from Roxanne. When maxed out (5 perk points) this perk means that you gain 10% more reputation points from PVP events and faction missions.

Most PvP races will take between 80 seconds and 8 minutes and reward between 280 and 387 RP per race based upon your finishing position and the number of perk points you've put into the Notorious perk, so just try to complete as many PvP free-for-all races as you can.

When it comes to sending friends on faction Missions, this is a way for you to earn quick, free, easy reputation points. Simply follow these steps:

• While playing the game, add any Level 50 players you see as a friend. You can do this by pressing right stick, scrolling to their Gamercard, selecting ‘View Gamer Profile’ then pressing Add Friend.
• Open the world map.
• Select a faction mission and choose ‘Send friends’
• You will be prompted to choose which friends you want to complete the mission.
• Each level has a ‘Chance of Success’ and it’s your goal to select enough friends ( up to 4) to make that chance of success 100%.
• You can then launch the mission.
• The mission will then become greyed out on your map and, in-real time you will eventually be notified that the mission has been completed – i.e. if it’s a 10 minute mission then you will get your notification in 10 minutes time.
• The mission icon with have a green exclamation mark on it. Select the mission then select ‘See Result’.
• You now collect your reward (Bucks and RP).
• Then just send your friends on the mission again.

Sending friends on missions rewards between 20 and 150 RP and you can have friends out on 9 missions at any one time.

Note that if you max out the 'Friends With Benefits' perk from Roxanne, you can send up to 4 friends on each mission to ensure you get the 100% chance of success. Neither you or your friends have to do anything (they won’t even know you’re sending them on missions). Free reputation points!

RECOMMENDATION: Play lots of Free-For-All PvP and Send Friends on Faction Missions

Pick Your Regions
Concentrate on two regions only. If you start earning reputation points in all 5 regions you’ll likely never move up the ranks in any of them. If you concentrate on two regions you’ll stand a far better chance of moving up the ranks. I used West Coast and South because: A) They are popular enough to have full lobbies and B) They have a lot of Sprints and short races, meaning you can get more PvP races done per hour and therefore earn Reputation Points quicker.

RECOMMENDATION: Focus on 2 regions only – preferably West Coast and The South

Make Sure You Time Things Right
Everybody’s rank in their faction is reset on the 1st of a month. This means everyone technically becomes a ‘Rookie’ (Rank 7) and that no one occupies any of ranks 6 to 1. This presents the perfect opportunity to boost yourself up the ranks and earn a high daily salary. Play the hell out of the PvP and send as many friends as possible on faction missions during the first 2 to 3 days of the month. You’ll shoot up the ranks in no time.

The later in a month you start your push for a high rank, and therefore a high salary, the more players you are going to have to overcome and the harder it will be.

How I Got My Achievement
A quick summary of how I got my achievement, which I unlocked on February 2nd:

• I selected the Bears faction.
• On February 1st I played 45 PvP free-for-all races in the West Coast only. This took approximately 4 hours.
• I had 9 level 50 friends that I continuously kept sending on every West Coast and South faction missions.
• This earned me 25,234 Reputation Points.
• When I logged into the game on February 2nd my daily salary was $10,044 before any Awards Bonus (and $12,454 after). The achievement instantly popped.

Those 25,234 reputation points, on day one of the month, were enough to put me into the Under Boss Rank in the West Coast (i.e. the top 0.5% of players). That combined with my modest earnings in the South, was enough to tip me over the $10,000 mark even before the Awards bonus.

Summary
I know this has been a very long guide but it is a complicated achievement and I wanted to be as thorough as possible. If anyone has any queries please let me know.

Helpful tips from the comments...
** Credit to Stahp for reminding me about the Notorious perk.

** Bonkekook has added very helpful notes on his approach to this achievement.

** ShadowsofSatan and Ham Man 89 have pointed out that the RP regards seem to have been increased, which means that, following the above guide, you should be able to get the achievement much quicker now (February 2016).

Great solution! Thank you very much! Have been trying it without looking up the solution and stayed in the wolves faction... I try to get it next month.

Bonkekook - thanks for your post above. Very interesting to read your approach and I can see that it worked very well! I agree that there is a definite advantage to getting it done at the start of a month. And well done for reaching 'Boss' on the West Coast!

I'll put a reference to your comment in the main guide to encourage people to read it.

Good guide I got mine by focusing on just one region doing the rancho loop which takes 2 mins 5 seconds each time I was able to grind out 30k rp in the mountain state within the first day that gave me boss status. I sent the 3 friends I had at 50 to the south region and overall I had gangsta in 4 regions and boss in one gave me an 18,000 daily income
I didnt play at all yesterday and still have the boss status today in that region.

I just wanted add something here because I think a patch may somehow have changed the payouts for the faction system. These are the stats that I had for unlocking the achievement.

Faction: Bears

West Coast 200 rp - Gangsta - $4275
Midwest 225rp - Gangsta - $4275
East Coast 20rp - Gangsta - $4275
Mountain 0 - Rookie - $1282
The South 0 - Rookie $1282
World 445rp - Gangsta - $4275

Basic faction spoils = $19664
Award spoil bonus 16%

Final Factions Spoils $22810

As you can see my RP is much lower than others have needed to unlock this achievement. I ran a couple of faction missions myself and the rest were through sending friends on missions. All of this was done in the second half of March and the achievement just popped now. Maybe I am misunderstanding the system and this perfectly normal based on what other people have done on the game but it seems like the payout is much higher for lower ranks now.

They've definitely increased payouts. Earned 15,116 RP total with the Snakes for February 1, 2016. Was knocked from "Under Boss" to "Street Boss" Overall since I couldn't play all evening. Payout was 68,055 Bucks.

Yes, technically it sounds like you should have the achievement if your faction spoils are sitting at 17,363 - even before the Award bonus. It might need to login the next day maybe - so that you actually get told your new faction spoils total afresh. Or maybe it did pop and it's in the 'Done...Unlocking' state.

So when I logged in this morning, I had a bunch of the 12 hour faction missions complete and then collected the RP from them, and I am now at 17,363 faction spoils with a 15% Award Bonus. Does that mean I technically have done this, I just have to wait until tomorrow to collect it since I only collected around 6000 today?

Thanks! I didn't want to steal your thunder, with my solution being so similar.

So, I spent yesterday doing similar things. I did the "The Point of No Return" mission over and over again(I was using that car to get the 5,000 miles in one car Achievement) until it popped.

Once that was done, I focused entirely on the Lifeguard mission. I made a mistake in my comment yesterday. It actually takes me about 1:50 to finish that, plus the 20 or so seconds to retry. Which is almost a minute faster than the other two I had been doing in rotation.

This is where it gets weird. This morning I was at:

East Coast - 2000 RP - Gangsta - $404
The South - 2600 RP - Gangsta - $360
Mountain - 27,200 RP - Boss - $7650
West Coast - 26,200 RP - Under Boss - $3825

World - 68,000 RP - Boss - $7650

Notice I didn't put the Midwest. The Midwest is confusing me. Yesterday I was the Under Boss in the Midwest. Today....

Midwest - 10,000 RP - Boss - $8099

So, despite not doing a single thing in the Midwest yesterday, I went from an Under Boss to the Boss. Go figure.

And for clarity's sake: Basic Spoils - $27988
Award Bonus 24%
Final Spoils $34,705

My Solution is too similar to yours, so I'm just going to post my experience here.

I popped mine this morning(March 2nd). Had the day off of work and spent it on the Crew. I only have 1 Level 50 friend to send on missions so my Rep from that was negligible. But I've found that it is faster to do the Faction Missions for Rep than it is PvP.

I had a set up. I would do the "The Point of No Return" mission in the Mountain States 5 times. It takes just under 3 minutes for me(plus 20 seconds from loading to retry) each time. That's 1000 Rep.

Then I would do the "The Lifeguard" mission on the West Coast 5 times. It would take me about 2:40(plus 20 seconds for loading) each time, though this one can be very frustrating. That's 1000 Rep.

I would do the "Observatory Dash" once, this took over 4 minutes plus loading and is in the South. Then I would do the "White Mountain Loop"on the Easy Coast and this would take about 3:15 plus the loading. 400 Rep for the two of them.

Finally, I would do the "Dave Z" mission in the Midwest 5 times(it would take me anywhere between 2:30-2:50 plus loading). Another 1000 Rep.

Each cycle would take me about 50 minutes or so, and I'd get 3,400 Rep. I did the cycle 10 times throughout the day. Here were my ranks the next morning.

World - 34,000 Rep - Boss -$7,650

East Coast - 2,000 Rep - Gangsta - $404
The South - 2,000 Rep - Gangsta - $360
Midwest - 10,000 Rep - Under Boss - $4,049
Mountain States - 10,000 Rep - Under Boss - $3,825
West Coast - 10,000 Rep - Boss - $7,650

Basic Faction Spoils were $23,938, with an Award Bonus of 24% for a Final Daily Spoils of $29,683.

$29,683.

So, I went a little overboard, but I wanted to make sure I did it, because it is VERY DIFFICULT to do it later in the month. Hope this helps someone.

Trying to grind for the Daily Salary here's a guide that may help.
I would suggest joining a faction with a lower amount of players like the Snakes or the Crocodiles, as going into a more populated faction you earn less RP as more players populate the faction the harder it is to gain RP.

In my case I choose the Crocodiles, I started grinding for this trophy a week after the first week of the month. The earlier you grind this trophy for the quicker you can get it, as you can see (click here http://imgur.com/8Ep2bel for example of ranking) you need Two Lieutenants and three Thugs in either region to get the trophy to unlock. To get Thug rank you need 20-21k, Lieutenant starts from 30k+. (These may vary per faction so take this as a avg indicator for the Crocodiles Faction).

Breakdown of Ranks

Rookie 0 RP
Gangsta 5-19k
Thug 20-30k
Lieutenant 31-40k
Street Boss 41-50k
Under Boss 51-60k
Boss 61-70k

To earn RP you can do PvP or by doing Faction missions or sending friends on Faction missions (you earn 160RP for longer missions, shorter missions give 60RP), which can be found under the Faction tab in the map screen by pressing cn_L1. The quickest way to earn RP is to do PvP you earn 320 RP each time you take part. Or you can go into a Faction mission, the longer ones 1hr or more you can earn 1620 RP. Or ones that take 5mins+ you can earn 220RP.

Go into PvP as each race takes on avg 5mins. So if you were to take part in PvP for 1hr or so you would earn 3,840 approx. Do that for 5 hours you would earn 19,200 near enough to the Thug rank.

To bump up your RP/XP/$ you could use perks, these can be found in the HQ. To unlock all of them you need to unlock LA HQ, in the West Coast Region.

Zoe (Midwest Region)
: The Crew increase co-op bonus Bucks+XP in missions and faction missions by 10%
Roxanne (Mountain States): Notorious 10% more reputation points from faction missions & PvP Events
Roxanne (Mountain States): Friends with benefits 4 friends be sent on Faction missions at the same time
Vincent (West Coast): MVP 10% more XP and $ from PvP Events.

Also doing this grind you can unlock the 100,000 RP Trophy too.
