How to unlock the Versatile Showman achievement in The Crew - Definitive Guide
I only have platinum medals in 5 of the 8 test-types, since i concentrated on jumps to bring my first car to 1299.
I only did a couple of speed and escape tests on platinum and just one or two slalom and climb types. No platinums on precision, scamble and follow.
Could it be that the achievement is about the upgrade types, not the different skill tests? So you need an platinum test for every single upgrade in each of the 5 zones?
Do not attempt this before completing the story. You can potentially bug this achievement into unobtainable by Reaching Platinum scoring before you are level 50 and have completed the story to actually unlock Platinum
So do not:
-Use the perk that increases how fast you get points in skills
-Pursue the other skill related achievements until you have this one
You won't know it became bugged until it's too late. It will get stuck at 98% in the Award menu of the game
The solution also applies to The Extra Mile, there's a similar guide already posted under that achievement.
Credit goes to uglytoiletduck (I assume for discovery) and Bradmatt97 (for the solution posted on TA under The Extra Mile achievement).
WARNING: This solution will reset all your awards to 0, some of them will immediately be resynced and instantly unlocked, and some of them will require you to do skills/PvE missions/story missions at least once to resync, some of them will be started over with no way to restore the progress. So be sure "The Extra Mile" or/and "Versatile Showman" are the last achievements that you need, so you don't lose any progress toward achievements like "Indy Car Racer" or "Meeting New People", as, once again, their progress will reset to 0 with no way to get it back, be sure to finish everything else before fixing glitched achievements. You have been warned.
There are multiple methods you may try, so I'll leave them both.
The original method by Bradmatt97 and uglytoiletduck.
The recently discovered method by Waxweazone. People said they're more successful with this method.
I don't know if it matters, the first two times my Ubi account was linked, but the third time I had it unlinked and then it worked.
so I created a new account, so as not to make the mistake mentioned in his guide... but I got the BUG stuck again at 98%
so I created a third account and this time, if I could get this achievement
Well, to correctly get this achievement in the year 2022 this is what I did
PLEASE READ
- Do not perform any skill until you reach level 50
(if you start a skill by mistake, press the map button to cancel it)
- Don't buy any perks on base
- Finish some missions to get XP and level up
You can also accept the "Escape" missions
and from the "Offenses" tab carry bronze, silver and gold boxes
once you're level 50, you can start earning platinum medals by region:
I did it region by region,
example: start with the escape ability in MIDWEST and then continue with the same ability in EAST COAST, then the same ability in THE SOUTH, then MOUNTAIN STATES and finish in WEST COAST, to continue with another ability and start again in MIDWEST.
here I put the skills I perform WITHOUT ANY PERKS ACTIVATED
If you don't get a platinum medal on the first try, continue until you get it and be able to continue with another.
all medals must be done in the same game session

You can only start earning platinum medals in skill games once you reach level 50. There are 8 skills types; Climb, Escape, Follow, Jump, Precision, Scramble, Slalom & Speed. The five “zones” are the regions; East Coast, The South, Midwest, Mountain States & West Coast. You need a platinum medal in each skill type, within each of the five regions, meaning this equals to 40 skills games with platinum medals. There are a total of 580 skill games in the game so there is a large choice of skills games to choose from. Generally Escape, Jump & Speed skill types are the easiest while the rest may prove a little more difficult. It is recommended that you have highly leveled up cars (1000+) and experiment with different car specs depending on the location and skill type.
