How to unlock the Considered Opinion achievement in The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope - Definitive Guide

As mentioned in other thread. If you going for Head, you need to choose option where is brain behind the decision (NOT HEART). If there are only 2 hearts decisions you can choose one of them or simply say nothing. I can confirm this and with few option I choose heart decision few times and say nothing few times, still get me achievement.

Does this achievement pair with the Rational Mind achievement?
(Unlocking rational trait for John)
I know you need Andrew to pick up the gun, but I'm not sure if that's a head decision.

Hi Pip,
I didn´t unlocked it earlier but what I did was I just finished game, choose closest point to where you are able to get it and MAKE A NEW SAVE (that´s important to not overwrite your finished game. After that you can choosedifferently and get it without fully replaying the game.

Can this be done in curator mode?

It should be possible.

I can officially confirm you can, in fact, get Rational Mind while going for this achievement. Furthermore, it can also be done during Curator Cut.

Just in case anyone was wondering: This achievement will pop up / unlock after the credits and after the trailer for the next Dark Pictures game 'House of Ashes'. It's also the moment when you load back into the main game menu, the title screen.

This is also the moment when any achievements based on finishing the whole game are unlocked (like finishing the solo story or 'Movie Night' mode), as well as things like saving everyone.

I'm really confused. Do you have to play through the Family chapter for this because when doing so I don't seem to have any indications that I've picked head or heart on the pause screen. It's just blank even though I've picked head decisions.

^The Family Chapter/Prologue doesn't count because that's not the "actual" characters

This achievement and the heart choices one work the same as in Man of Medan. Whenever you have to make a choice, NEVER choose heart (or brain if you're going for the other achievement). If both options are wrong, choose "Say nothing" or let the timer run out if this option isn't available.

An improvement introduced in this game over Man of Medan is the ability to check if you are still on the path for the achievement from the pause menu. If you are doing everything right, it will show "You have only made choice with your head/heart, where possible".

Detail: Choose any story mode. When a decision is optional to be made, then there is a chance that they involve Heart-based decisions. You can see the corresponding icons for Heart/Head, at 50% of opacity, at the vertical center point of text per decision. Try darkening the gamma's toning or setup HDR's maximum luminance correctly.

Task: The requirement is to always and only make Head-based decisions whenever they are optional. If there is no Head-based decision optional, then your choice is irrelevant, and does not impact relative progress. The number of Head-based decisions can be variable per story play, but it is relevant to make the corresponding decisions if prompts are being triggered. For example, if only Heart based decisions are optional on an interaction prompt, then you can/must safely make any of the three decisions.

Xbox Achievement:
The relative Xbox Achievement will be unlocked, the scene after the credits roll has initiated. Prefer not to skip credits rolls.

I've replayed 'The Crossing' three times now and swear I've only picked the head decisions. However, when I go on the scene selection page, both the heart and the head icon appear. Every prior chapter, only the head has appeared. Is there a way to fix this?

I have extensively tested replaying Chapters with Head Decisions only, and quite often the results detailed with icons on Chapters were shown incorrectly. It does not necessarily mean, that relative progress would be invalid for the task. Sometimes these details were shown correctly for subsequently replayed Chapters. However, I want to encourage people to refrain from using Chapter Select for that.

This is much easier to track and much harder to screw up than it was in Man of Medan. You can now track whether you've made Head or Heart choices in the pause menu, so as long as it says you've only made Head choices by the end of the game, you should unlock the trophy. You can differentiate a Head choice by the icon of a brain behind the dialogue or action choice. If at any point the pause menu no longer says that you've only made certain types of decisions, you can go to chapter select and it will tell you which chapter had head and heart choices, so you can replay from there.

If you're ever given the option of choosing between two Heart options and no Head options, you're free to choose whatever you want. The game specifies in the pause menu that you've made only Head options when possible, so that's all that matters. Thanks to ThaMighty for confirming this.

We go through the game by choosing all the answers with the brain (mind) icon, if there is no option with the mind, then we choose “keep silent”

If you go through choosing everything at the call of your mind, then in moments when you have to choose who to save, both options will be at the call of your heart, at these moments you can choose any option, the trophy will still appear. I checked it personally and saved everyone.

There is an easy way to check if the achievement is broken

During the game, the menu says - When choosing, you, as a rule, were guided by reason . The inscription disappears if you select a heart somewhere

If you made a mistake, in the main menu go to “Scene Selection”. All chapters must have only the brain depicted in the background. If the heart and brain, then the achievement is failed. We need to replay from the chapter where only the brain ceased to exist.

The trophy drops only after watching all the credits and the trailer for the next game.
The first two chapters are irrelevant. I started retracing from the scene of the accident.

If there is a choice where there is no reason, press on the heart, it doesn’t count.

I'll say more about this trophy. I combined this trophy with all the collecting trophies, and the last 50 secret, in order to take it, I had to save Mary and accuse the priest. In the very last choice, at the end of the game, there are three choices: Two according to the call of the heart and the third “Silence”, so I made a choice in favor of saving Mary (before that I threw the save into the cloud just in case), At the end of the game there were 4 characters, Taylor died in the forest, they still gave the trophy after the credits. And I also received a trophy for all the secrets
