Omg I keep failing the QTE because the game registers a perfect timing as a failed one, the steam copy of this game was the Same. Its like it stutters and registers as a failed timing. Not to mention how long it takes to get to that point again to give it another go as the game saves immediately after the failure.

The trophy can only be obtained in the canonical version. If you steal a boat in the director's room, the trophy does not count.
