How to unlock the It's all gone changing on me achievement in The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man Of Medan - Definitive Guide
During the chapter ‘Depths’ you’ll find the rebreather, you need to take it with you.
You will need to pass the SECOND stay calm QTE when Olson comes after you with the sledgehammer.
You can fail the first QTE and still keep the rebreather with you, but you won't get to explore the room where Danny is stabbed by Olson.
After the second stay calm QTE (must pass) you can either choose to run (much easier in my opinion) or stay. If you choose to stay you must pass a third stay calm QTE or you will run away without the rebreather!
If you choose to run, you need to complete a one button QTE (Y button) before entering the room with Junior or you will drop the rebreather.
In the room with Junior, select the dialogue options:
‘Curious.’
‘Worried’
‘Desperate’
Finally when Junior puts the gun to his head, choose ‘Grab Pistol’
You will use the rebreather to calm Junior down and save him from shooting himself.

This is infuriating, I can pass the first stay calm QTE easy enough but it's like there is input lag on the second one and I consistently fail

There is serious issue with the input lag on this QTE. I've failed it over and over again until I just pre-empted the inputs.
Given the fact that I have not failed any other QTE in this game... yeah.

You can get this easily after the Curator's Cut run with All Heads. Depending on your choice, you have two ways to do it:
- Followed the walkthrough and got the rebreather in chapter Depths:
- Reload chapter Junior
- whenever you have the dialogue option, chose the Heart option.
- Press when the QTE appears to put the rebreather on Junior
- Didn't take the rebreather in the chapter Depths:

At the end of the “Depths” chapter, your heroes will find a “rebreather”; you MUST take it
Then you watch how the Pirate cuts his assistant, here you can hold your breath and then go to the lower deck. After examining it, you will be given the choice of “run” or “inspect”, choose to run.
The chapter “Junior” begins, here you need to remain quiet! After we select “run” and run the “QTE”, then there will be a conversation with Junior where are you: (what smoke?) ; (yes, something like that happened); (we held our breath) and then we knock the weapon out of Junior’s hands, then “QTE” and that’s it. Junior calmed down

Be sure to save your breath, otherwise the heroes will not take the rebreather and leave it in the corridor

This is a very important point. You need to play ONLY as some guy, I played as Fliss and I had no choice to “grab the gun”.

The chapter “Junior” begins, here you need to remain quiet! After we select “run” and burn through the “QTE”, then there will be a conversation with Junior where you are: (what kind of smoke?) right answer; (yes, there was something like that) left answer; (we held our breath) right again and then we knock the weapon out of Junior’s hands, then “QTE” and that’s it. Junior calmed down.
Playing as Julia and Alex (they are a couple), be sure to take the Rebreather, after the main pirate comes after us with a hammer, be sure to successfully complete the first QTE for breathing, after which we choose to run with Alex, run, perform small QTEs so that the Rebreather remains with us during our subsequent meeting with Junior. Next - as in the main tip.
Playing for Julia and Brad (the one with glasses), we go through the first QTE for breathing and DO NOT RUN, here you need to go through the second, more difficult QTE for breathing, so as not to leave the Rebreather. Everything else is the same.
