How to unlock the Crime Scene Photographer achievement in The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me - Definitive Guide

There are 28 total photo opportunities needed for the Crime Scene Photographer achievement (if you are including the 4 photos of the crew members needed for the Say Cheese achievement.)

Please note that the camera gameplay is very buggy. When the camera reticle turns green, you have highlighted a photo opportunity. Press cn_RT until the reticle is no longer green.

As of February 2023, there is no method to track your progression in-game for this. All progression made towards this achievement is saved universally as you play, so if you miss one you can use scene/chapter selection or start a new save if need be.

The following video walkthrough is missing 1 photo from the Curators Cut, Chapter: Opportunity. When you reach the tower building, take a picture of the dead animals on the wall.

Some of these only worked for me in curators cut for some reason.

So frustrating there's no way to track this. Following the walkthrough I believe I missed only photo 13 in chapter Cliffside with Mark. There was never a green reticle for me, even when I tried again in curator's cut :/

If anyone is struggling getting the second one on pool try looking around the bin and broken window. (before entering building) It was very, very finicky but I'd occasionally get the green marker for a split second at random angles. I literally had to spam RT and move the camera on and off but eventually got it. (I didn't use the guide above, just commenting to maybe help others with same issue)

One of the most illogical trophies. I took photos of everything that looked at least like evidence of a crime, but in the end I missed 3 photos. In the scouting chapter, you need to take a photo of the table in the office with books and ... the door, in the room where you need to move the shelf with books, behind the door on the balcony is Holmes' hat, if when you point at it the lens is not green, then you need to take a photo through the door. There are two missing photos in the first video - curator's cut, chapter "new opportunities", we play for Mark. Whenever for the first time the game talks about the ability to photograph places - take a photo of the lighthouse near you. And also on the second floor of the car wash, don’t forget the animal drawings on the wall.

I couldn’t get the trophy for a long time, it turned out I missed 1 angle - in the chapter there is a lighthouse in the normal version, provided that Charlie has to die, there you need to take a photo of the lighthouse and a photo of the house.

The “animals nailed to the net” angle is not needed. But in the video it’s easy to miss the angle of the landscape after the photo of all the participants on the pier. I missed it, thinking that only people were being photographed in this scene, and at the end, pay attention, I also need to photograph the landscape...
