The first choice doesn't matter, I took the face powder and did everything else the same, still got it.

I took the face powder as well but I did not hit anyone and I got the achievement
Might be the only step needed is the investigate the noise.

Note that you cannot obtain this in the Curator's Cut.

At the beginning of the game, playing as Marie, we buy a bottle of rose water. While in the bathroom, select “inspect” (stick left). If you are playing in a party or with a friend, then Jeff must choose to run away from Holmes (stick left again). Then perform a QTE as Marie by pressing frequently . We watch the scene, we get !
PS: You won't be able to get a trophy in Curator's cut single player.

Whether you choose rose water or soap at the beginning does not matter for the trophy.
