How to unlock the The Bird is the Word achievement in The Darkness II - Definitive Guide

When in the parking garage a car will try and run you over all you need to do is shoot the driver. Just unload into the on coming car and achievement unlocked. If you some how manage to get hit just reload the checkpoint and you will be right there again.

I honestly cant remember. When you play the game its the only level that takes place in a parking garage and you only get 1 car that tries to run you over. Its very hard to miss this moment.

I'm pretty sure you can just shoot the car anywhere. When I first ran into the car I wasn't even aware of this achievement, but I figured the slow-mo meant I had to do something. I fired a bullet into the passenger side fender and got the cinematic and achievement.

While you are making your way through the parking garage, a scripted car will attempt to end your life by running you over. In order to earn this achievement, all you have to do is shoot down the driver that's trying to run you over. Unload your bullets on him as he is trying to get closer to you. Do it successfully and the car will flip over you and Jackie will give both the car and the driver as it passes over his head and to the other side. The achievement should unlock as all of this is happening.

If you need to see how it is done, check out the video I have attached with the solution. Credit goes to Doubi07 for creating and posting the video. If you happen to not get it the first time, do what D0pe b0I instructed and restart the checkpoint and try again and again until you do. It should only take one try, if not two. When you are in the underground garage, in one of the sections a car with its headlights on will come towards you, so that it doesn’t hit you - just shoot at it, it will fly over you, and you will have time to show an obscene gesture to the driver

I recommend that you first purchase the ability, Weapon Hardening, which gives you endless ammo for a while (button ) and activate before starting shooting.

in the mission in the parking lot a car will drive towards you and slo-motion will turn on, just shoot at the car a little before it hits you
