To unlock this achievement I used Andrias Assassination skill. It’s important to note that it’s not 1500 as a single number it is also a cumulative score so any multi hit attack that does 1500 or more will unlock this achievement as well
For example if the attack hits 5 times and does 300 damage per hit that will unlock the achievement.
Naturally higher attack on the character will also help as well as returning to previous levels and upgrading the skill itself

One attack can mean a single skill. I achieved this through Andrias' Assassination skill which hits a target multiple times. This should come naturally, however to maximize damage ensure you are behind your enemy when you activate your attack or skill.
