How to unlock the Lead Dishwasher achievement in The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile - Definitive Guide
Dishwasher strategy:
[Update]: Check the bottom of the post for an infinite Moonfish glitch.
First, you want to upgrade your health, magic and Cleavers to the max for you to stand a chance (using the Y-X combo) through Samurai. Some parts in the game are pretty hard but the Y-X Cleaver Combo rips enemies in two... Literally.
Rather than the pick&mix list above, I would suggest using the following beads:
Eye (Enemies Block 'Signifcantly' Less)
Rocket (Rocket Damage Is Slightly Decreased)
Hacksaw (Increased Melee Damage)
Heart (or Skull) (Increased Health/Skull drops)
Bat (Leech-life Per Hit)
Shield (Less Damage Taken)
It's still a pretty long list but for around 95% of the game you will only be using:
Hacksaw
Heart (or Skull)
Bat
Shield
The others are used only in particular places.
Rocket - Landcruiser Stadium.
Eye - Aqua Marina, Justice Summit and The Stagnant Nightmare.
You replace the Heart Bead on all above occassions (Heart is useless unless killing normal enemies). The reason is that in each of the levels the bosses have elements that make them harder, so by using certain beads you can weaken them in some ways. The Rockets being shot at you on 'The Goalie' boss battle is the most annoying part of that fight. You can easily Y attack left or right, move your analog stick to the opposite side and push X. You will basically be cutting through 'The Goalie' from one side to another and he will have a hard time hitting you, or so he did me. (Rockets fired from bots do cause the majority of the damage in the fight, that's why you use the Rocket Bead here)
As for 'The Symbiotic Swordmaster' (Not 100% on the name) and 'The Fallen Engineer', they block your attacks almost constantly. Eye does work to an extent. I noticed both bosses blocking slightly less but not enough to make them easy fights. The worst part about 'Swordmaster' is the enemies that spawn. You have the Spec-ops (which are pretty easy) but then Sharkrobots I believe, which take off most of your health if they land on you and become a royal pain with their rockets.
Now, for Dishmagic. I cannot stress enough that Dishmagic is ONLY to be used for the Spritdish (I think it's called that, terrible memory... LT+A anyway). This will save you everytime you're close to death. Only use it if you're about to die, do not spam more than one at a time otherwise you'll be wasting them; at any moment you could find an enemy drops health (from the Heart Bead) so then you'll have less skulls to bail yourself out someother time (unless you pick up one from an enemy).
Checkpointing you can use to your advantage also. You start with whatever health you entered an area with, (sometimes you get full rejuv) so if you haven't done as good as you want in an area (without using healing items) die purposely, restart from checkpoint and have another go. You do not want to waste items in Samurai.
Talking about checkpointing. If you die so many times in an area the spawning will change (or so it seems). The easier enemies will spawn first, enabling you to take them out and focus on the harder ones last.
Another thing is that some levels do not have a shopbot to purchase items from. I believe there isn't any in the last two levels. On most levels, If you use up all, or most of your items, backtrack to where you saw the shopbot and purchase items, this will make things easier in the long run.
If you're worried about gold; equip the Money Bead, go to Lunar Wastes on Ninja/Samurai and rush to Goreface. You can farm zombies from it as much as you want. If by chance you're about to kill him, purposely die and restart from checkpoint. You will keep all the gold you earned previously and he will be at full health again. (You do need to defeat him and complete the level for the gold to count).
Above all else, remember that the Cleaver Y-X combo will not make you invincible even though you can avoid most attacks while using it. There is a slight delay between attacks where you can be hit. With the Bat Bead you will gain health with every hit so you will always be gaining life somehow while fighting (Spiritdish Magic/Health drops/Leech-life) and that's the most important thing in Samurai.
One last thing, enemies can damage each other. Keep this in mind when facing multiple bosses or enemies.
Edit: Thanks to RedSkinFan26 and other members on Xbox360Achievements I've just found that there's a glitch for infinite use of items to make Samurai easier
If you have only one of an item, use it and then reload the item menu (back to close, back again to reopen) and push A. You will use the item again without having it in your inventory. So buy one Moonfish and make sure it is the only thing in your inventory, use it so you have no items at all, go back onto the menu then when it says "You have nothing to eat." push A. You will reuse the Moonfish and regain all your health. Spam when necessary.
You will be able to spam Moonfishes until you use another item. So I suggest you don't.
The glitch works until you Dashboard or turn off your console.

i used the dishwasher and only used the big spike hammer weapon for the entire game. using dash + x to knock enemies away then follow up with xxy usually combos them to the point where they can't hit you. the only enemies that might give you trouble are the hook/shotgun guys wearing trenchcoats, just dash behind them.
the hammer destroys bosses very quickly. you wanna play through once on any other difficulty and DON'T SPEND ANY MONEY (pretty princess will be a quick run through but will provide less money) - when you start a new game on samurai the money will transfer over and you can use it to max out the hammer early on. from there focus on upgrading your magic and health (don't bother with the last health upgrade)
as far as beads go: i always had bat, heart, and hacksaw
for bosses: replace heart with bone/rocket depending on the boss
magic should come before health imo, because the LT+A magic will let you rejuvinate health as well as stun enemies in the process. NEVER use any magic except for the LT+A, or if you're finding it relatively easy, use LT+Y to do a good amount of damage to a boss (gotta be facing him somewhat far away)
i just finished using this method and had absolutely no trouble at all. even the squid boss went down on my first try.
so in a summary: upgrade only your spike hammer thing/health/magic, and save the rest for items (never buy the full restore fish because two of the small health restore fish costs the same and restore more overall)

This is the only solution needed for this achievement! The Hammer destroys everything, mainly just dash + x enemies to death, used the xxy mostly for the bosses. Never even had to use magic that often.
Still died handful of times, but killed Squidface and final boss without dying. Only time I used items was at the final fight (might as well right?)

For this achievement, you must have completed the game once on any other difficulty so that samurai difficulty is unlocked.
This will require a decent amount of time and effort, but there are a few things that will make this easier. I would suggest that you go for all of the other story related achievements first, All of the health, magic, and weapon upgrades you buy on one play-through will carry over onto your samurai play-through, so it would be a good idea to have some health and magic upgrades, as well as a few weapon upgrades to start off your samurai game. when i tried for this achievement, i had my health and magic maxed. And i had the cloud sword maxed also. A few tips for samurai are
-Enemies are a lot stronger and deal a lot more damage, you will be lucky to get hit 5 times without dying. always try to dash out of danger
- Beads! though you may not notice their affects on other difficulties, they can be very helpful in combat situations. The helpful beads are as follows...
-Cross Bead
-Goat Bead
-Squid Bead
-Flower Bead
-Eye Bead
-Heart Bead
-Cat Bead
-Cloud Bead
-Bat Bead
-Rocket Bead
-Money Bead
-Crown Bead
-Wine Bead
-Gun Bead
-Bone Bead
-Hacksaw Bead
-Robot Bead
-Plate Bead
-Math Bead
-Spider Bead
-Shield Bead
-Ice Bead
Ok thats almost all of the beads, pick the ones you think will benefit you the most. I would suggest using two health beads and two that help attacks
-enemies are not very smart, use this to your advantage. a quick dash out of the way can make an enemy knock down or even kill another one.
-Avoid fights if you can, you don't always have to kill everything. Sometimes you can dash right on to the next part of the level without fighting any enemies.
-Keep moonbread/moonfish on you at all times. You never know when you will need some quick health. Keep an eye out for amps to get some quick $
-Finally, don't be afraid to use magic, it can heal you or kill your enemies when you can't
There are two characters that you can play story mode as, The Dishwasher, and Yuki (the prisoner)
If you plan on beating the game as Yuki (The prisoner) there are a few things you should know.
- The cloud sword is your friend against almost every Boss. Hold Y for the power attack and it will make boss fights a lot easier and quicker.
-The Kama-Kazi is good for taking out groups of fast moving enemies.
-Air combos help considerably in densely packed rooms, Hold down on the thumb-stick while attacking to perform an uppercut and then slice them while they are in the air.
If you Plan on beating the game as The Dishwasher, there are a few other things you should know.
-Instead of the cloud sword there is the Guillotine. It is very good against bosses and groups of zombies
-Against stronger enemies such as the flamethrowers or the chainsaw enemies, it may be wise to spray them with The Dishwasher's Dekkentozter and then beat them to death, this can save you considerable time and health.
Hopefully this solution will help in your samurai play-through.

Yes you can get it on co-op, but if you started samurai already you will have to restart it when you do co-op. That should make it easier so long as you and your teammate dont get mixed up. If you want to do that I can help you

How to unlock Samurai difficulty in co-op? Beating the game doesn't work.

This is a glitch to help you beat the Dishwasher VS on Samurair difficulty very easily...My video is a tutorial so please thumbs up comment and subscribe :)
Just want to throw something in that I haven't seen posted here. If you use the infinite item glitch posted in one of the above solutions, on the squid chips instead of the moon fish, then you can spam magic to automatically hit everyone on screen. Usually during the magic animation you are untouchable and you can use the glitch to refill your skulls while you use one of the magic attacks.
Im still in the process of beating this as of writing this tip, but so far . . .
. . . spamming magic is making Samurai difficulty easier than Pretty Princess difficulty!!!

Samurai is actually very easy compared to the first game in my opinion, so it shouldn't cause you to much trouble. When I beat Samurai I used the Dishwasher with all his weapons, health, and magic fully upgraded. I recomend playing through on another mode over and over til you upgrade everything you think that you wanna use on Samurai mode as you get to keep all of your stuff going into it. While I had all my gear maxed out I ended up only using the Clevers for the speedy fast guys like the ninja dudes for example. For everything else. EVERYTHING ELSE I used the Violence Hammer. It destroys the invisible life bars of any enemy it touches pretty quick and can keep several enemy in a long combo if you keep stunning them with it but the first swing is a bit slow compared to other weapons so make sure you don't get smacked before you can swing it. As for beads I only used 4 the whole time the Hacksaw, Heart, Bat, and Shield beads. It also helps if you carry some items with you for the "tough" spots. Unlike the first Dishwasher game the health items in this game actually give you a really good amount of HP back when you use them so they are always good to buy if you have expendable income. There was only one part near the end that caused me trouble and thats the long ass elevator ride. If you played through the game already I'm sure you know which one. On this part I would switch to the Clevers and evade/teleport my way to the top of the elevator when the dragon comes busting through the window and let him and the other enemys attack each other. The dragon can't hurt you if your at the top and he'll damage the enemys on the ground because he keeps attacking whether your down there or not. The other guys will also keep hitting the dragon until he leaves. BE CAREFUL the ninja guys can and probably will try to jump up to get you but they can be easily avoided if your paying attention. After that the only other part that may cause you trouble is the Squidface boss fight but he didn't give me very many problems. I just beat the crap out of him with the hammer and when he's about to attack get behind him and hit him again while obviously avoiding the incoming rockets, also I'm pretty sure the shark robots that are there respawn infinitely so try your best to ignore them. Theres not much to say for the final boss exept dodge alot because his attacks are ridiculous. Just dodge his attacks and hit him when he stops moving. If it looks like he's about to do something just move away, don't get greedy. He never has you fight other enemys during the actual boss battle so you can't kill other guys hoping for HP so be very careful not to get your shit rocked.
To unlock Samurai Difficulty, you need to beat the game on any other difficulty at least once. You will then need to beat the game as either The Dishwasher or Yuki on Samurai difficulty. There are 13 levels to go through and there are a lot of bosses in the last five. This is not as difficult as the first game, but do not underestimate it.
It is currently NOT possible to play the game on Samurai or Pretty Princess on Co-op, local or online.
Here are some tips for playing on Samurai.
- Choosing who you play as is important. On one hand Yuki's combos are more built for taking out bosses quickly and on another The Dishwasher is built for dealing with the masses. That doesn't mean that can't do both.
- Remember that upgrades purchased on a lower difficulty do stay when you start Samurai, so it is advisable to upgrade your character's weapon/skull/health.
- Warping is a THE best way of dodging, the only time you should stop warping is to walk through doorways.
- It is recommended you have all the beads before starting, this will make a huge difference. Having the beads set up to maximize your health regeneration is the preferred set up. There are three beads that boost this: The Flower Bead (Slow health regeneration whilst in combat), The Heart Bead (Enemies drop more hearts), and The Bat Bead (With every hit you steal health from enemies). The fourth slot is up to you but The Eye Bead (Less chance the enemy will block against your attack) goes nicely with this set up.
- If you've stunned or weakened an enemy to near death and the finishing move pops up, take advantage of it.
