The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition

This achievement can be gain early in game as soon as you arrive in Whiterun. Go where the big tree is and close to it is the Jorrvaskr (the companions main base). Enter inside and talk to Skjor about joining the Companions or you can just skip him and go downstairs to Jorrvaskr Living Quarters and talk to Kodlak Whitemane .Then the quest Take up Arms begins.





Follow Vilkas outside, hit him with your weapon when he tells you and then you pass his test, he will give you a sword to give Eorlund ,so go give it and after the conversation you will have with Eorlund he will ask for a favor to give Aela her shield back. Accept and go give her the shield.After a small chat you will follow Farkas to your quarters and thus the quest ends giving you the achievement.

The Companions are one of the 4 factions available within the lands of Skyrim. They are more or less the equivalent of the Warrior's guild in Oblivion and obviously boasts a good selection of combat trainers.

On your first visit to Whiterun, you will be able to start and complete this quest. Odds are you witnessed npc's fighting a giant who turn out to be members of this faction and will direct you to Jorrvaskr trough a quest, the man you need to speak to is Kodlak and is usually found downstairs in his quarters.

The Companions can be found to the north up the stairs from the market in Whiterun. In case you don't find it, use your local map and look for a house named Jorrvaskr.

Complete their initation quest and this achievement will unlock.
