seems to be gliched for me i chose a stone and no achievement popped

Yes - this also appears to be glitched for me. I tried cycling through each stone and couldn't get the achievement to pop.

Can be acquired early in the game.
Once you escape Helgen and the caves with either Hadvar or Ralof, they will say it's best to separate and suggest you head to Riverwood, instead, follow, and they will eventually come upon 3 Standing Stones, The Mage, The Thief, and The Warrior.
Once you select one, you'll get this achievement, and a little perk depending on which you choose.
