How to unlock the Werewolf Mastered achievement in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition - Definitive Guide

Let me start by saying get the Cursed Ring of Hircine which is obtained during the quest "Ill Met by Moonlight", from the werewolf Sinding, who is imprisoned in Falkreath. For this quest you have to agree to kill the hunters and not who Hircine sent you for.
Hircine's Ring is a powerful Daedric artifact that grants the wearer unlimited werewolf transformations instead of once a day, though only if they already possess lycanthropy.

To be able to become a werewolf you have to progress through the Companions questline in Whiterun, it will be part of the blood ritual that occurs during the Companions quest, The Silver Hand.

After you have this you can activate the werewolf form by cn_B then choose magic , go to powers and then cn_RT on Ring of Hircine and while in game cn_RB to activate. Will have to mention also that you have to equip the power again after each transformation so will make it easier to have it as favorite.

Now while in werewolf form when you use cn_B you will see the werewolf perk tree. The achievement is basically to get all 11 perks here. You get perks by feeding on corpses hearts. To feed you need to get close to a corpse, you do not have to have been the one to kill them, and a prompt to press cn_Awill appear to feed - this will extend your Bloodlust and allow you to stay a werewolf 30 seconds longer.

Each new perk requires a few more feedings than the last. A total of 164 feeds need to be fed upon to complete the entire tree.Worth to mention also that you can get Savage Feeding in the Perk tree to be able to feed off most dead creatures.

Have in mind also that you can go in a dungeon kill all with your character and after transform to werewolf and eat their hearts, for me at least i found it to be more helpful as you cannot read books or pick locks or loot corpses in the werewolf form.

Also a note the achievement for on the Xbox One did not pop for me when i actually put the last perk. I waited a minute or 2 and then I just when and checked the achievement list and it was already unlocked just it did not pop facepalm, had me a little worried there.

EDIT :PraXis91x has gave a nice tip also that you can transform back to normal and cast Soul Trap on everyone you fed and you get a freebie, so it only takes 82 feedings clap.

I am surprised how quickly I got this one! The ring definitely helps. Just go into camps that you cleared, feed on the mobs you destroy. Then, transform back to normal and cast Soul Trap on everyone you fed and you get a freebie, so it only takes 82 feedings.

Geez. Is there a way to change back to normal without having to wait for the effects to wear off? It takes forever and i need to fast travel.
I even waited several hours (in-game) and still doesn't speed it up.

I should have done a separate save because I'm attempting to couple the werewolf achievement with the Master Criminal achievement to have a 1000 bounty in each town. Ugh.

Yeah depending on how many you have killed x 30 secs it can take a bit of waiting , i also found it to be kinda annoying but have not found a way around it sadly facepalm.

waiting in 1 hour increments for like 12 to 14 hours seems to work fairly well, I'll double check to make sure it wasn't just a fluke but after like 9 hours, if you pause for like 2 or 3 seconds you can tell if the change back is about to happen or if you need to wait some more.

You can also switch between werewolf/vampire by talking to Aela/Serana if need be.

I got all 11 perks of the werewolf and it did not unlock. It's not stuck on Done..unlocking so i'm not to happy about it cry

[EDIT] Never mind, I feel so stupid, the first skill needs three upgrades. facepalm

FYI once you join a side in the war, you can freely kill the opposing team in their camps. I joined the stormcloaks, so I would go into imperial camps and just feed on them.

Depending on your method for getting kills, it may be quicker to build into the right branch of the skill tree with your first four perks and acquire the Savage Feeding perk, which allows you to feed on pretty much any living creature.

A good spot for getting those last couple perks is Liar's Retreat. I went there to harvest elf blood, and there were a ton of bodies and enemies to kill. You can feed off every last one of them. Then, once I had it cleared, as I was trying to leave, three more enemies showed up. It's a literal feeding frenzy in there.

This is a 15-30min achievement grab allowing you to basically skip needing to be a Werewolf, especially if you're putting off Dawnguard. Just try to RT swipe at the ground in front of people or you'll trigger the maul animation which is sooooo looooong.

Requirements:
- Be a Werewolf
- Sell the Ring of Hircine or ignore it altogether

Step 1: Join the Civil War and get a Fort capture quest
Step 2: Join up with the men attacking the fort and SAVE.
Step 3: Go Beast Mode, stand in a doorway between the fort courtyard and Skyrim, then start killing FRIENDLIES. Ignore enemies, friendly AI will infinitely spawn and also attack enemy AI. Feed after every kill
Step 4: Grind out all 11 points. Kill, feed, level, rinse and repeat. Listen to that sweet rare achievement jingle.

No need to worry about the friendly AI killing all the enemy AI; once the quest percentage falls to 0, the enemy will flee and the quest will complete. Ownership of the Fort transfers to the friendly AI you're killing and they continue to infinitely spawn.

Also no need to worry about roaming for kills, there should be 4-6 enemies around you at all times. If there are none, you may have to aggro some bowmen into drawing swords by walking near them.

So long as you're level 20ish, you'll regen health feeding faster than they can damage you. If you're under 20, I recommend kiting swordsman out of archer lines of sight and forcing them into close range combat.

Once you get the achievement, simply reload your save from Step 2. Enjoy!

This only took me 30-40 minutes, and was the last achievement I did in the game. Recommend making a save before going for this as it's easier if you kill named NPCs as well as guards etc.

In order to achieve all the perks, you will need to feed 164 times in total. I found that the civil war questline gave me a lot of enemies to feed on. NOTE: Only humanoids can be fed on until the Savage Feeding Perk is unlocked

A break down of the number of feedings per perk
Perk 1: 5 feedings
Perk 2: 6 more feedings
Perk 3: 9 more feedings
Perk 4: 11 more feedings
Perk 5: 13 more feedings
Perk 6: 15 more feedings
Perk 7: 17 more feedings
Perk 8: 19 more feedings
Perk 9: 21 more feedings
Perk 10: 23 more feedings
Perk 11: 25 more feedings

This is easily done by giving yourself the "spell" of being able to transform into a werewolf and the perk points to go along with it. Use the commands below.
 
  • player.addspell 92c48
  • set DLC1WerewolfPerkPoints to 11
Now equip "Beast Form" as your magic spell in the menu and cast it to transform into a wolf. From there, go to the leveling screen and apply all 11 perk points to unlock the achievement.

For leveling up both a vampire lord and a werewolf, tasks from the civil war to storm forts are great. Allies will arrive in endless waves and respawn - in half an hour you can fully level up. Don’t be alarmed - as long as you are a vampire/werewolf, no fines will be imposed on you and you can steal/kill/sex geese.

A small life hack can also be extremely helpful - we clear the dungeon in the form of a person, and then we walk around as a werewolf and drink blood (on legendary difficulty it is extremely difficult for a werewolf at high levels to clean everything by himself)

If you use a chip with a photo, then to speed up the animation, after the message that the heart has been absorbed, hold down the attack button, and the animation will be interrupted.

If you have already completed the assault on the forts, then just go to any city (I chose Riften), save, then turn into a werewolf and stupidly start genocide. Kill everyone, you've run out of people, teleport to another city and start killing everyone
4 big cities and 15 minutes were enough to level up the werewolf to the maximum, after the end of the genocide and getting the trophy, just reboot back.
PS to get the great vampire trophy, we do the same.

I recommend taking on this trophy after receiving and before completing the Dawnguard add-on (which is about vampires). It is gained quite quickly in cities, and if you have not yet received the “Inveterate Criminal” trophy, gaining werewolf abilities in different cities will be very useful.
After receiving we go through the addition and download the vampire in the same way.
