How to unlock the Oblivion Walker achievement in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition - Definitive Guide

Daedric Artifacts are earned by completing specific quests throughout Skyrim. While there are only 15 quests in the game you can technically earn 16 artifacts due to a bug in the end of one quest. This means you can either entirely skip a quest you don't want to do, or still get the achievement if you fail to get one of the missable artifacts.

First off, a checklist of the available artifacts and the level you need to be to begin the quest for them;

Level 1:
- Azura's Star / The Black Star
- Saviour's Hide / Ring of Hircine
- Mace of Molag Bal
- Ring of Namira
- Wabbajack
- Skull of Corruption

Level 9:
- Volendrung

Level 10:
- Masque of Calvicus vile

Level 12:
- Dawnbreaker
- Spellbreaker

Level 14:
- Sanguine Rose

Level 15:
- Oghma Infinium

Level 20:
- Ebony Blade
- Mehrune's Razor

Level 30:
- Ebony Mail

*NOTE* - The Masque of Calvicus Vile, Mehrunes Razor, Skull of Corruption and ring of Namira can all be missed by completing their respective quests in the "wrong" way.

In the spoiler tags you'll find a brief summary of the questline for each artifact, and how to avoid missing any. Quest start locations are bolded for anyone who just wants to know where to look and then experience the quest for themselves.

Azura's Star / The Black Star - Quest: "The Black Star"

Saviours Hide / Ring of Hircine - Quest: "Ill Met By Moonlight"

Mace of Molag Bal - Quest: "House of Horrors"

Ring of Namira - Quest: "The Taste of Death"

Wabbajack - Quest: "The Mind of Madness"

Skull of Corruption - Quest: "Waking Nightmare"

Volendrung - Quest: "The Cursed Tribe"

Masque of Calvicus Vile - Quest: "A Daedra's Best Friend"

Dawnbreaker - Quest: " The Break of Dawn"

Spellbreaker - Quest: "The Only Cure"

Sanguine Rose - Quest: "A Night To Remember"

Oghma Infinium - Quest: "Discerning the Transmundane"

Ebony Blade - Quest: "The Whispering Door"

Mehrune's Razor - Quest: "Pieces of the Past"

Ebony Mail - Quest: "Boethia's Calling"

It got a little late so I have yet to finish this. I included a brief description of how to start each quest so anyone who sees this guide in its current state can still find them all. Honestly none of these quests are particularly complicated so between the quest starting points, required level and advice on which are missable you should have all you need for the achievement. That being said I will come back to this in a day or two when I have time to update details on quest info.

Besides completing the quests incorrectly, are they missable by not starting them early enough in the story or anything like that?

By Vril on 03 Nov 2016 05:09
Nope, you can start them at any point. You can do them all as soon as you hit the required level or you can do them last. They're completely unrelated to any other quest in the game. smile

can you sell them after obtaining or do you have to have 15 at once?

@Uganda Rained: You can sell the artifacts and you can store them in chests. The one thing you cannot do with them is disenchant them.

Saviours Hide / Ring of Hircine - Quest: "Ill Met By Moonlight" --I think this one got fixed so it is harder to get both artifacts. Hircine will take the cursed ring from you. There is a way around this, although I'm not sure yet if it counts towards the achievement. Just drop the ring on the ground before you kill Sindig. Then Hircine will talk to you and you can pick it back up. Here's a video showing part of it.
playing

Your way still works, you just see Hircine twice. Once as a human and then as an elk. This is a glitchy quest. Use lots of saves. If you go to Faelkreath jail after taking to Hircine the first time Sindig will appear as a werewolf and he wouldn't leave and you can't talk to him.

Out of curiosity regarding the use of mods if anyone can answer this. Say I'm running a normal game to get the achievements. If I start a new game slot/save with mods will it negate my other save that I don't want to use them on? Or does activating mods span across all characters and saves?? Thanks.

I haven't tried mods yet, but if it's anything like Fallout 4 it will tell you when you go into the mods menu exactly how it affects achievements. Personally I'm not touching mods until I 100% the game just in case.

I'm level 50, and have been visiting all the Inns as I've traveled about. Not seen Sam once. Think I'll get both from Hircine and leave it instead. Should sill pop the achievement.

By FullMoonBeaver on 06 Dec 2016 12:18
That will definitely work for the achievement, as far as I'm aware with sam he spawns in to one of the inns once you're at the appropriate level and stays there. He should never move. At least that was the case with the 360 version, I'd imagine this version is the same.

It is probably worth noting to save before you decide to travel to each quest. By slim chance. There's a pain in the ass dragon spawning/giant killing a NPC and thus failing the quest instantly.
(Both quests "Ill Met By The Moonlight" and "The Cursed Tribe") had burned me back in 2011 and once again now.

For "A Daedra's Best Friend" it's best to talk to "Lod" as soon as you can. (even if you're not ready to do the quest or high enough level) Whenever vampires or cultists enter Falkreath they cause all guards and NPCs to attack, Lod being one of them. He can be is very often killed. If you have not talked to him to start the quest you won't be able to continue it. I've had to start new saves just for this reason.

I had it pop, for just fifteen, (didn't have the ring of hircine) and all I needed to do was actually complete the quest black star.
Check the daedric quest completed list in the stats.

I missed Masque of Calvicus Vile (A Daedra's Best Friend) because Lod got killed a while back and I won't be going back to that save - it's just too far back. I kinda fixed it by getting both Saviours Hide and Ring of Hircine. But I read the Oghma Infinium and it disapeared from my inventory. Does it still count towards the fifteen? I'd hate to collect fourteen of the just to miss the book...

@Newbie,

Yes it still counts. I sold most of my artifacts as soon as i got them and also read the book so yes it will count.

I'm level 50 in my game right now and The Whispering Door quest won't come up. Usually I can remember a guard or someone talking about the Jarl's son activating the quest. I've talked to Balgruf, hus son, and everybody but it won't start the quest. Glitch?...

For anyone struggling with finding Sam for the "A Night To Remember" quest, he can be found in any of the taverns, not just the ones in holds. Apparently it is the tavern closest to you after you reach level 14, but I haven't confirmed.

For me, I found him in Rorikstead.

I know in the 360 version you didn’t need to have all artifacts in your inventory to receive the achievement. Is this still true? I’d like to sell some of the stuff to clear up inventory space and weight if I can!

Thanks!

Just to confirm for anyone wondering - the book can be read and will still count towards your total. Also you don't need all items in your inventory, just need to collect them. I did not sell any of the items, so I'm unsure if you can offload them that way.

Great guide, thanks so much for the time you put into this!

If you are doing the "Ill met by moonlight" quest and aiming to get both artifacts, make sure to double check if you actually got the "ring of hircine". I followed this guide and did not get it the first time, maybe I checked the the inventory too early, since I got it the second time.
Another order that worked for me is:

1. Agree to help Sinding and kill the hunters
2. Kill Sinding but don't skin him yet
3. Leave the cave to get the "ring of hircine" and check the inventory to confirm that you actually got it
4. Go back into the cave and skin Sinding's corpse, to get the other artifact

Of course, Sam Guevenne shows up in the very last tavern I checked from the list of 15. Looked for him for 30min. Didn't realize Whiterun has 2 taverns. The other tavern was the very first one I searched in too.... facepalm

I've belined this achievement on all versions on the xbox, (360, One, S, X), for standard, special, and anniversary. Even gotten all of them through glitches on a couple saves! For good measure I even kept them all on me without dropping any on one! NEVER GOTTEN THIS ACHIEVEMENT WTH!!!

It won't unlock, I have 15 in my inventory and the game says 15 Daedric Quests Completed!

Edit: I reloaded a previous save and did the last artefact again and it unlocked; I had to do that for a few achievements, actually.

Funny thing is that i killed Sinding, but you still find him walking around as werewolf at Helgen?

In my case, the Hircine quest couldn't trigger by appreaching Sinding at the cell or speaking with the townsfolk, it only triggered by speaking with the grievieng parents of the victim at the cemetery. Important to note.

Good thing I had this failsafe because I killed Lod and couldn't start the Clavicus quest xD

Would just like to give my two cents on The Break of Dawn and Boethiah's Calling.

Break of Dawn:

There's a massive bug that will lock you out of completing this quest. If you complete the dark brotherhood questline before doing this quest, there's a chance meridia's beacon will spawn in an invisible and inaccessible chest in the dawnstar sanctuary.

Boethiah's calling:

I've run into a bug which stops you from being able to start the quest in the easiest way. On my current save, reading the Boethiah's Proving book does not start the quest, and neither does finding the sanctum of Boethiah. There is another option to randomly find a Boethiah follower in Skyrim, but this is a random event and could occur at anytime.

I want to point out a bug I encountered and was able to fix regarding the "Pieces of the Past" quest, to get Mehrunes' Razor. After collecting the pieces of the knife and meeting Silus Vesuius at the Shrine of Mehrunes Dagon, he will call out to you, interact with the altar, and ask you to do the same.

Doing so triggers a brief discussion with Mehrunes, who tells you to kill Silus. I agreed, killed him, and interacted with the altar again. At this point, I was attacked by a frost troll that made its way to me somehow. Since I was locked in conversation, I couldn't back out and defend myself, and was killed (that prick Mehrunes really likes to chatter, and you can't leave conversations with Daedric lords). After reloading, I found that Silus didn't react to my presence and thus wouldn't interact with the altar at all. After trying a few things, I found that initiating conversation with someone else fixed the issue. I don't think it matters who, but for reference I spoke to Giraud Gemane, the Master Speech trainer from the Bard's College in Solitude.

I hope this helps someone who finds themselves in the same situation.

Eff, I screwed up. I played hundreds of hours of Skyrim and completed all the Deadric Quests only to realize I messed up on the very first Deadic Quest I did: Masque of Calvicus Vile - Quest: "A Daedra's Best Friend". I completed it incorrectly by choosing to kill and getting the axe.

I was so not happy when I completed the last Deadric Quest and the achievement didn’t pop. So now what? Sort through my 500+ game saves to find when and where a messed up? Terrible option. You need to be lever 30 to obtain the last Deadric Quest, so I thought what is the fastest way to level 30? Well here it is only took a few hours and I am now able to start all the Deadric Quests from a fresh new level 1 character.

Level 30 in 30 Steps.

Set game difficulty to Novice. Save often.

Always be on the lookout for the following Alchemy ingrediants from shop vendors and loot:
Abecean Longfin, Cyrodilic Spadetail, Salt Pile, Small Antlers, Small Pearl, Yellow Mountain Flower, Ancestor Moth Wing, Blue Butterfly Wing, Chaurus Hunter Antenae, Hagraven Claw, Snowberries, Spawn Ash, and Spriggan Sap.

This guide assumes you have created a character and completed the starting area and are level 1.

1. Exit cave
2. Go to standing stone, choose thief
3. Travel to Whiterun. Complete quests Before the Storm, Bleak Falls Barrow, and Dragon Rising.
4. Use carriage at Whiterun stables to travel to Rifton
5. Run to Redwater Den, northeast of Rifton
6. In Redwater Den, speak to the Dealer for a free sample of Redwater Skooma and use the
Redwater Skooma. Upon awakening pick up Telekinesis Book and learn Spell: Telekinesis.
Use Telekinesis on the cell key on the table right outside the cell. Use cell key or pick lock
to escape cell. Kill everyone and loot everything.
7. Fast travel back to Rifton.
8. In Rifton, sell most of your items. You will need a couple hundred gold a few items of
varying value left in your inventory.
9. SAVE GAME. While in Rifton, start pickpocketing a guard until you are caught then accept
the “go to jail” option.
10. SAVE GAME. In your cell there is a lockpick on the table and one in your inventory. Unlock
Cell.
11. SAVE GAME. You will need to kill all 3 guards. Sneak around and you will be able to find
weapons and a few pieces of armor for the fight. Save game after every kill. After your
first kill loot their armor and equip. After all kills, loot the jail and find you inventory
items.
12. Find Prisoner Sibbi Black-Briar.

Use the infinite pickpocket loop to level pickpocketing to a min of 40. As you level
pickpocketing up spend points in the talent tree to increase your pickpocketing odds. Save
game here before leaving prison.
13. Use carriage to travel to Dawnstar.
14. Upon arrival in Dawnstar search behind you for caravanning merchant Ahkori. (If Ahkori is
not there proceed to step 15.)

Use the infinite gold loop with hidden Dawnstar chest. Find the hidden chest the save
game. Open chest look for any magical items for Alteration, Alchemy, and blacksmithing.
Take those. Then take all soul gems, especially filled grand. Take all blacksmith crafting
materials. Lastly take anything you want to sell, especially high value/low weight items.
Run back to Ahkori, sell her stuff until her gold runs out. SAVE/QUICKSAVE. Kill Ahkori,
reload and repeat. You need lots of soul gems for enchanting and at least 3000 gold for
Alchemy training later.
15. If you did not get an Alchemy magical item from the Dawnstar chest go to the Mortar and
Pestle in Dawnstar and talk to Frida. Buy any of the Alchemy ingredients listed above that
she has. Talk to her and get the quest “Dungeon Delving”. This quest requires you to
retrieve the Ring of Pure Mixtures.
16. Go to the Forsaken Cave and retrieve the Ring of Pure Mixtures.
17. Travel back to Dawnstar. Upon arrival in Dawnstar search behind you for caravanning
merchant Ahkori, if she is there follow step 14. If she is not there wait or fast travel
around the map and back to Dawnstar until she shows up.
18. In Dawnstar, go back to the Mortar and Pestle. SAVE GAME. Completing the quest returns
the Ring of Pure Mixtures to Frida. SAVE/QUICKSAVE. Pickpocket the Ring of Pure Mixtures
from Frida.
19. Travel to Whiterun.
20. In Whiterun, go to Arcadia’s Cauldron. Buy any of the Alchemy ingredients listed above
that Arcadia has. SAVE GAME.

Speak to Arcadia and have her train you in alchemy once. QUICKSAVE. Pickpocket your
money back and train again in Alchemy. After training 5 times level up and apply skill
points to your alchemy tree. Repeat this process until Alchemy is at least level 60. Your
pickpocket skill will continue to level as well an you can apply skill points to the
pickpocketing tree as well.
21. After you Alchemy skill is at least 60 or higher, leave Whiterun and travel back to the
standing stones. Choose Warrior.
22. Travel back to Whiterun.
23. Use the smelter and blacksmithing furnace right inside of Whiterun to make as many iron
daggers as you can with the materials you gathered from the Dawnstar chest.
24. Travel back to the standing stone. Choose Mage.
25. Travel back to Whiterun and go to Dragonsreach.

---At this point make sure you have at least enough ingredients to make 5 or 6 fortify restoration potions and 1 fortify enchanting potion. I had this amount exactly from following the above steps. If you do not have the required ingredients you need to procure them before moving to the next step. Make sure you also have at least 5 filled grand soul gems and a ton of other filled soul gems. I had over 20 filled grand from the Dawnstar chest. Make sure you have a set of items dedicated for Alchemy Enchantments: Neck, Ring, Hands, Head. And 1 dedicated item for Alteration Enchantment: Head, Ring, Chest, Neck. You will have to have at least the Ring of Pure Mixtures and an Alteration magical item to disenchant.

26. In Dragonsreach go to the room with the Alchemy and Enchanting Tables. SAVE GAME.
27. Use the Enchanting table to level enchanting to 60 by disenchanting all magical items and
enchanting all the daggers you created and any other items you have. DO NOT USE YOUR
GRAND SOUL GEMS dedicated for your Alchemy and Alteration gear. As you level up
enchanting apply skill points to the enchanting tree.
28. After hitting level 60 in enchanting and applied the appropriate skill points you need to
craft your Fortify Alchemy Armor Set. Using your 5 saved Grand Soul Gems, craft 1 head,
neck, ring, and hand item with the Fortify Alchemy enchantment. Your enchanted items
should have a 20%+ bonus to fortify alchemy.
29. Equip your fortified alchemy gear. You are now ready to do the fortify restoration loop.
SAVE GAME.

Use the Alchemy table and craft ONE fortify restoration potion. Drink Potion. Check your
alchemy gear and make sure the Alchemy bonus has increased. Craft and drink another
fortify restoration potion. Check your gear again for Alchemy bonus increase. Repeat until
your Alchemy bonus is 10000%+. Craft a fortify enchanting potion and check its bonus, it
should be really high. Now use the enchanting table to enchant an item with fortify
Alteration. As long as your fortify Alteration enchantment gives your item over 100% cost
reduction of Alteration spells you are good to go. If it is not at least 100% reload you save
and start over. You may need another fortify restoration potion to do the trick.
30. Leave Dragonsreach. Equip your Alteration Item. All Alteration spells should cost 0
magicka to cast. See video. Infinite Alteration. Drop an item on the ground use Telekinesis
on the item. While holding the item in the air use fast travel to a distant location. Your
alteration skill will have leveled up significantly and you should have leveled up several
times. Repeat this step till you have your desired level.

You should now be at least level 30 and are now able to start all the Deadric Quests. Please see Pra1s3Th3Sun’s guide above for the completion on the required quests. I hope this guide was helpful, especially for those like me that missed it the first time around.

OBLIVION WALKER
You need to collect at least '15' Daedric artifacts for this achievement. There are actually over '30' items in this version of Skyrim that are classed as Daedric artifacts by lore, however only '17' of them will count for the achievement. Another downside is that for one of the quests, namely 'The Black Star', you can only choose one of the artifacts at the end forsaking the other. There are '15' Daedric quests available with a reward of one artifact at the end of each, however we have a little trick for one of the quests where we can actually obtain two artifacts for one quest. This makes a total of '16' artifacts available in one playthrough, so if your achievement fails to unlock after 15 we at least have an extra chance.

The order in which you obtain these items is not that important, however some require you to be at a certain character level and there are some glitches and quest dependant criteria involved for some, I'll go into a bit more detail below but here is my recommended order in which you complete them:

  1. Savior's Hide and the Ring of Hircine
  2. Mace of Molag Bal
  3. Ring of Namira
  4. Wabbajack
  5. Azura's Star or The Black Star
  6. Oghma Infinium
  7. Skull of Corruption
  8. Volendrung
  9. Masque of Clavicus Vile
  10. Spellbreaker
  11. Dawnbreaker
  12. Sanguine's Rose
  13. Ebony Mail
  14. Ebony Blade
  15. Mehrune's Razor
The first six can be done at anytime from level 1 at your discretion, I would recommend doing the Savior's Hide / Ring of Hircine trick as early as possible however, just to avoid a potential glitch. Discerning the Transmundane for the Oghma Infinium can be started at anytime and coincides with the Main Story, just be sure to grab the Elder Scroll during the quest; this should be very obvious at the time, it also means you'll skip a whole quest in the Main Story. Also note that you don't have to use the book straightaway, if you want to maximise the benefits of the skill increases simply keep the book and use it later.

After that they are pretty much level dependant, I have placed the Ebony Blade penultimately because it requires the completion of the Main Story quest 'Dragon Rising' which unleashes Dragon attacks upon Skyrim, so you may want to leave that 'til later. The quest known as 'Pieces of the Past' for 'Mehrune's Razor' is possibly the most laborious quest of them all, and quite glitchy so you should leave this one as the very last, basically as a back-up in case the first 15 artifacts do not unlock the achievement for you. Alternatively the Ebony Mail or the Masque of Clavicus Vile can be a bit of a trial so it may depend on which artifacts you might actually want to use yourself for the one you save as a back-up.

IMPORTANT: Whichever order you choose remember to make a save just before picking up your final '15th' Daedric artifact - sometimes reloading the save will unlock the achievement on the second or third try.

Places and people to avoid
Here is a list of vitally important areas and NPC's that should be avoided until you are on the specific quest:

Alftand: Southwest of Winterhold.
Bloated Man's Grotto: North of Falkreath, on the north shore of Lake Ilinalta.
Bthardamz: North of Markarth.

Also store the following items for later, but do not keep them in your inventory: one Deathbell, one silver ingot, one Vampire Dust, one Daedra heart, and one Troll Fat.
Remember to save when prompted and take your time, allow dialogues to play out all the way, do not attack innocent people or commit crimes during these quests and see them out 'til the end, try not to activate other quests or go wandering off in the middle of a Daedric quest. Good luck!

Savior's Hide and the Ring of Hircine
Level required: 1
Quest name: Ill Met By Moonlight
Artifact description: Savior's Hide: Light armour with poison and magic resistance. Ring of Hircine: Unique ring granting unlimited Werewolf transformations
Daedric lord: Hircine

Glitch warning
Do not transform into a werewolf at any point during this quest

> Go to Falkreath and find the 'Falkreath Barracks', go in and then down into the jail.

> The only prisoner, 'Sinding', will approach the bars, if he doesn't, leave the jail, then re-enter. Talk to Sinding and take the ring, wait for him to transform and escape or he can become stuck there. (Note that the ring he gives you will not count as an artifact until you complete his objective).

> If you encountered a dragon at Falkreath make sure the blacksmith 'Lod' is not dead before continuing, he is essential for the Clavicus Vile Daedric quest.

> Go and kill the 'White Stag'. Kill it quickly - if it escapes to a high point on the Throat of the World and seems unreachable you can fast-travel to High Hrothgar and carefully sneak downhill towards it.

> Talk to the White Stag's spirit and offer to kill Sinding.

> Head to 'Bloated Man's Grotto' to the north of Falkreath, the best way to reach it is to find 'The Lady Stone' in the middle of Lake Ilinalta, head north and pass 'Ilinalta's Deep' try to find a snowy pass through the mountain on your left (northwest) then carefully drop down the other side to find the grotto. Alternatively if you can't find the pass, go east from Ilinalta's Deep and find 'South Brittleshin Pass', go through this short cave and when you emerge you'll find the grotto just down the road to the west.

> Once inside and don't attack the werewolf Sinding, a little way inside you'll talk to him on a rock above you, do not exit the dialogue with Sinding or allow it to time out, offer to help him then exit dialogue after it's fully finished.

> Kill all the hunters, do not hit Sinding by mistake, not even with non-hostile spells like 'Healing Hands' or he may become hostile and you cannot retrieve the Ring of Hircine.

> When all the hunters are dead go and talk with Sinding, tell him that the hunters are dead, exit the cave and the 'Aspect of Hircine' (the White Stag) will appear again. Say 'I failed to bring down Sinding' and Hircine will nevertheless grant you the 'Ring of Hircine'.

Collecting your first Daedric artifact will also unlock this achievement:
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special EditionDaedric InfluenceThe Daedric Influence achievement in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition worth 14 pointsAcquire a Daedric Artifact

> Go back into the cave, kill Sinding and skin his hide to receive the second Daedric artifact the Savior's Hide.

Mace of Molag Bal
Level required: 1
Quest name: The House of Horrors
Artifact description: One-handed mace with damage stamina, magicka and soul trap effects
Daedric lord: Molag Bal

Glitch warning
If you are experiencing the 'Crafting/object interaction bug', where you are unable to interact with any crafting objects, avoid this quest, until it is fixed.

> Go to Markarth. Walk up to the 'Abandoned House' a little way into the city, follow the stream from the main gate, it's on your right.

> You should see the 'Vigilant Tyranus' outside the entrance, offer to help him (you may need to leave Markarth and then return for him to spawn), save before entering the house and keep this save, at least until you have left.

> Follow Tyranus, do not interrupt him, go through the house until you reach a locked door, a voice will soon ask you to kill Tyranus, do it by any means.

> Go down into the basement and through the tunnel behind the shelves.

> Activate the rusty mace, say; 'It's an altar', and ask to revenge 'Boethiah'.

> Follow your marker to one of the six random forsworn redoubts to free 'Logrolf'. Save once you're there.

> Fight through and kill all the Forsworn, take note of Logrolf's location and avoid hurting him, if he accidentally gets hit with anything you could fail the quest, make sure all the forsworn in the area are dead, then free Logrolf.

> Fast-travel back to Markarth and enter the abandoned house.

> Follow Logrolf downstairs and wait for him to be captured, at this point you should activate a dialogue between Molag Bal and Logrolf, if it doesn't happen you will have to reload the previous save and try again. If it does happen wait for the dialogue to end then beat Logrolf into submission with the mace, you will kill him however but don't worry, Molag Bal will just resurrect him, and it will not count as murder.

> Another dialogue should trigger, wait for it to end, then beat Logrolf to death and you'll receive the Daedric artifact the 'Mace of Molag Bal'.

Ring of Namira
Level required: 1
Quest name: The Taste of Death
Artifact description: Stamina increasing ring which increases health after feeding on dead people
Daedric lord: Namira

Glitch warning
Get rid of any followers prior to starting this quest.

> Go to Markarth, from the main entrance go straight up following the little waterway, cross it using the second large stone bridge on the left, up the stairs on your right and into the double-doors marked 'Understone Keep'.

> Talk to 'Brother Verulus' upon entering, ask 'Why not?' then offer to help him, do not intimidate him.

> Continue on into 'The Hall of the Dead'. You'll hear a voice, continue through the hall until you meet 'Eola', answer 'Guilt, what are you talking about?' then 'Where is this place?', and offer to help her.

> Leave the hall and make sure to tell Verulus it's safe to complete the miscellaneous objective.

> Go to 'Reachcliff Cave' to the southeast of Markarth, accept Eola as a follow and help her clear out the draugr, be careful not to kill Eola or allow her to die. Also do not run ahead and exit the cave before Eola has given her dialogue at the end.

> After killing the boss draugr talk to Eola, she wants you to bring Verulus to her.

> Use the newly opened tunnel on the left to make a quick exit and fast-travel directly back to Markarth's Understone Keep.

> The marker may not be on the keep's entrance, but you will nevertheless find Brother Verulus in the keep, he's sometimes further in inside the Hall of the Dead.

> Tell him you have need of a priest, then bribe him to follow you (don't worry you'll get it back later).

> Leave the keep and fast-travel back to 'Reachcliff Secret Entrance'.

> Go inside and lead Verulus to Eola.

> There'll be a scene where Eola entrances Verulus and bids him lie down on the altar. Once he's lying down kill him anyway you like, but avoid damage to Eola or anyone else. Now activate his body and eat his flesh, you'll receive the Daedric artifact; the 'Ring of Namira'. Note you can also loot back your bribe money from before.

Wabbajack
Level required: 1
Quest name: The Mind of Madness
Artifact description: Unique staff that causes a wide variety of effects including: various elemental damage, absorbing attributes, transforming targets into chickens, dremora and gold coins etc
Daedric lord: Sheogorath

> Go to Solitude, go straight ahead and to your right through the large arch, find the graveyard just to the right and behind the 'Hall of the Dead'. Find 'Dervenin' nearby, he circles the graveyard by day wearing brown and talking out loud to himself.

> Say to him: 'What do you need?', then offer to help him, (if this dialogue option doesn't appear you may need to ask around Solitude for rumours concerning Dervenin).

> Head to the 'Blue Palace'.

Check to see if you have a lot of arrows or other items in your inventory, if you think you may have over '999' items rid yourself of them as you may cause an unfixable glitch in the coming section.

> Now find 'Erdi' or one of the other marked servants such as 'Una', and ask them to let you into the 'Pelagius Wing', or pick one of their pockets for the key, and go in. Make sure to save immediately after entering the Pelagius Wing.

> You will be suddenly transported to a new area without any activation or warning. This place is known as 'The Mind of a Madman', you'll also lose all your items and abilities (temporarily).

> You'll find the Daedric Lord 'Sheogorath' and 'Pelagius III' sitting at a table, talk to Sheogorath and follow the dialogue until he gives you the Daedric artifact: 'Wabbajack', (press cn_X or cn_RT to equip it). You can't leave with the artifact just yet though.

> You'll have to use this mysterious staff in three trials to escape, walk under any one of the arches (it doesn't matter which order you do them in) to face each challenge:

Confidence: You'll find the personification of Pelagius' Anger as a normal sized man fighting a tiny man named Confidence; you must restore the balance between them. Use Wabbajack to shrink Anger and enlarge Confidence, avoid the two spectres of Self-doubt while doing so. When they're restored, Sheogorath will say well done and Self-doubt will kill Anger. Save and move on to the next trial.

Paranoia: You'll find a stone fort, proceed up the steps to the arena where the two atronachs are fighting. One of these is yours, and the other belongs to the guy standing opposite you. You have to defeat your opponent. Don't bother with the atronachs, use Wabbajack on one of the guys sitting next to your opponent. Move to the next trial.

Night Terrors: You'll find Pelagius in a bed, use Wabbajack on him to start the night terrors. A series of increasingly difficult enemies will spawn one by one, use Wabbajack on them once they appear, you will turn them into non-hostiles, do not attack them further just use the staff on Pelagius to spawn the next one each time 'til there are no more.

> Go back and talk to Sheogorath, he'll let you keep Wabbajack. You'll then be transported back to the Blue Palace in Solitude.

If you keep the Wabbajack on your person you may later be approached by a Sheogorath worshipper who asks you to 'Wabbajack' her. (Caution: it will be considered assault).

Using the Wabbajack on plot-related NPCs can produce highly unpredictable results, as their scripts may interact with the Wabbajack's effects in ways that cannot be anticipated. An essential NPC, for example, cannot be killed but will be removed from the game if transformed into a sweetroll and eaten by the player. (Caution: Do not attempt this on quest related characters).

Azura's Star or The Black Star
Level required: 1
Quest name: The Black Star
Artifact description: Azura's Star: Reusable grand soul gem. Black Star: Reusable black soul gem (as a glitch this will trap all kinds of souls, not just humanoid)
Daedric lord: Azura

You can only acquire one of the above artifacts, choosing the Black Star is wiser if you use soul gems, choosing Azura's Star will gain the option to recruit 'Aranea' as a good follower.

Remove any bounty you may have in Winterhold prior to starting this quest.
You'll encounter leveled necromancers, Dremora and two mage bosses.

> Speaking to most innkeepers around Skyrim, such as 'Dagur' at the 'Frozen Hearth' in Winterhold or 'Elrindir' at the 'Drunken Huntsman' in Whiterun will place the shrine's location onto your map.

The easiest way to reach it is by starting at Winterhold, follow the road southeast until you see a pass on your right, follow this under the stone arch, keep close to the rocks on your left and proceed down, turn left when the rocks end and follow the faded snowy path winding up the mountain, you'll soon see the very large stone shrine up on your left.

> Climb the stairs and talk to 'Aranea Lenith' and offer to help her.

> Fast-travel back to Winterhold, go into the Frozen Hearth and talk to 'Nelacar', he may be in a side room, bribe or intimidate him (persuasion is glitched). He wants you to head out to 'Ilinalta's Deep', a medium-sized Imperial fort that mysteriously collapsed into the lake some time ago. It is located on the northern banks of the western side of Lake Ilinalta, northwest of Falkreath; make your way there.

> Now head to Ilinalta's Deep and enter; a boulder that was meant to prevent access to the second zone prior to this quest may still be present, if you find it the only known fix is to exit, then re-enter the ruin, or reload the save outside.

> Move through the first few rooms encountering Necromancers and the undead, go through a dining area and into a room with a large pool of water, kill the enemies there and move on.

> Proceed through and you'll soon encounter a higher level necromancer in the room with the raised bridge, defeat them and move on, go through the barred door and across the top of the room you first entered from and enter 'Ilinalta's Deluge'.

> Continue through to find a high level mage boss, take care of him and proceed upstairs to the room with the dead skeleton of 'Malyn Varen', take the 'Broken Azura's Star' from his lap (or on the floor) and exit via the ladders. Due to a possible glitch, you will not be able to pick up or see the Star, exit then re-enter the ruin via the nearby ladders to fix this.

> Now you can either fast-travel back to the Shrine of Azura and talk to Aranea to receive 'Azura's Star', or to Nelacar in Winterhold to receive 'The Black Star'. Both count for the achievement and whichever you choose you will have to enter the Star itself and destroy Malyn's soul. Make two separate saves here before you speak with either Aranea or Nelacar about entering the star.

> Enter the star, destroy Malyn's Dremora minions first (this is a good chance to grab a Daedra heart for the Volendrung quest later). If you're really having trouble with the Dremora you can lower the setting to Novice, then kill Malyn. Due to a possible glitch; if you're killed by a Dremora in the Star after killing Malyn, you may spawn at your last save with both the repaired star and the broken star in your inventory. If this happens do not continue as if you are done, fall back on your older SAVE and do it again.

> Once Malyn is dead you'll be transported back to Skyrim with the complete Star that you chose, SAVE.

Oghma Infinium
Level required: 1
Quest name: Discerning the Transmundane
Artifact description: Skill increasing book
Daedric lord: Hermaeus Mora

This will be activated during the Main Story quest 'Elder Knowledge', but it can be completed now with no negative effects or backtracking required.

> Either after receiving the prompt to go to 'Septimus Signus's Outpost' to find the 'Elder Scroll' during the Main Story, or just going there earlier, head first to Winterhold.

> From Winterhold head out and follow the road southeast, you should soon find a snowy slope on your left down the mountainside to reach the ice floes below. You'll find the outpost across the icy waters to the north and a little west.

> Go inside and talk to Septimus. Offer to help him and he will give you the 'Attunement Sphere' and a 'blank Lexicon', then he'll point you towards a very extensive Dwemer ruin called 'Alftand'.

Note: If you're level 30 or above, this is a good opportunity to activate the Daedric quest 'Boethiah's Calling' by reading the book called 'Boethiah's Proving' on the shelf.

> Make sure you're well prepared, Alftand is quite large. Travel to Alftand, it's southwest of Winterhold, you can reach the entrance to the 'Glacial Ruins' by ascending the mountain and using the makeshift wooden walkway clinging to the cliff side.

> Proceed inside and battle through the Dwemer machines in the ruins and keep heading generally down. You'll go through the 'Animonculory', then through the 'Cathedral' encountering a Centurion, until you get to 'Blackreach'.

> Continue through Blackreach encountering chaurus and a possible giant, until you reach a lift in the far southwest leading to the 'Tower of Mzark'. Continue through, go up the spiral ramp to find the Dwemer puzzle.

External image

> Place the Blank Lexicon in the receptacle to the right of number (4) in the image above, and watch the ceiling of the room open. This activates the two buttons on the right (3 and 4 in the picture). Activate button (3) three or four times in a row until the Lexicon glows and opens up. Now press button number (2) once to align the lenses, then hit number (1) allowing the light shining through the container to hit the corresponding lenses on the floor, thus filling the Lexicon with knowledge. Now hit number (1) a second time making room for the container to be lowered down from the ceiling.

> Pick up the, now 'Runed' Lexicon, before you retrieve the Elder Scroll, use the lift underneath you to return to the surface. Do not read the Elder Scroll (by activating it in your inventory) at any point and do not return it to 'Urag-Gro Shub' for the Main Story until you complete this quest first.

> Return to Septimus Signus at his outpost and give him the Lexicon.

> Septimus now requires the blood of a Dwemer, unfortunately no known Dwemer still live, so you have to harvest the blood of every other type of Elf to make a simulated facsimile. Make your way out of the outpost.

> At the exit you will be stopped by 'The Wretched Abyss' (the Daedric Prince Hermaeus Mora), selecting any dialogue options are fine.

> Now you'll need the blood of a Bosmer (Wood Elf), Altmer (High Elf), Orsimer (Orc), Dunmer (Dark Elf), and Falmer (Ancient Snow Elf). Return to Alftand Glacial Ruins.

> Proceed inside, you can harvest Bosmer blood from the corpse of 'Endrast', his body is hidden behind a gate and some steam pipes in the lower half of the first room in the Animonculory.

> Proceed into the large open vertical room full of spiral ramps and jump down to the corpse of 'Yag Gra-Gortwog' for the Orsimer blood. Continue downwards to the room just before the elevator. You'll find the permanent corpses of 'Valie' (for Altmer blood) lying on a torture table, and a Falmer around the corner. You can then use the lift for a quick exit back outside.

> For Dunmer blood; there is a dark elf conjurer that's been killed by trolls in the westernmost room of 'Bleakcoast Cave', located east-southeast of Winterhold. Also a permanent corpse of a Dunmer can be found in the water at 'Evergreen Grove' located northwest of Falkreath. Also there is normally a Dunmer Necromancer or Conjurer who can be killed and harvested camped at the 'Ritual Stone' located east of Whiterun across the White River or the Shadow Stone located just south of Riften. And if you still can't find a Dunmer, or require any other elf blood, try looking in outdoor camps, forts, shipwrecks etc, there are varying elves around these places and killing them does not conflict with other quests or raise bounties. Once you harvest your last blood sample and return to Septimus's Outpost.

> Give Septimus the samples. He'll then use them to open the cube. The Daedric artifact known as the 'Oghma Infinium' will be on a pedestal inside, Septimus will be disappointed stating 'it's just a book!' and be subsequently annihilated by Hermaeus, you are then free to take the book and remember you will not be forced to read it now and choose your skill boost reward, it will be placed into your inventory and you can read it later when your skills are higher and it's more beneficial.

Reading the book will allow you to choose one of the three paths boosting a set of your skills permanently by 5 levels:

The Path of Might: Archery, Block, Heavy Armor, One-handed, Smithing, and Two-handed.
The Path of Magic: Alteration, Conjuration, Destruction, Enchanting, Illusion and Restoration.
The Path of Shadow: Alchemy, Light Armor, Lockpicking, Pickpocket, Sneak and Speech.
> The quest is now complete, the book will count towards the achievement once it's in your inventory, so you don't have to read it yet.

Skull of Corruption
Level required: 1
Quest name: Waking Nightmare
Artifact description: Health damaging staff with extra damage after collecting people's dreams
Daedric lord: Vaermina

> Go to Dawnstar and enter the 'Windpeak Inn' and find 'Erandur', speak to him and offer to help him 'end the nightmares of Dawnstar'.

> There are many glitches involving Erandur, he can be very slow and annoying but be patient and walk beside him up to the top of the nearby cliff and don't interrupt him. You'll encounter a few higher leveled wild animals near the top; these could be very dangerous at a low level so be careful.

> Kill the creatures at the entrance of 'Nightcaller Temple' then talk to Erandur before proceeding inside.

> Once inside Erandur may disappear as a possible glitch, the only solution is to reload a previous save. Erandur will open a magic doorway; proceed through with him and up to the balcony. He will explain that the artifact; the 'Staff of Corruption', is located below, and it needs to be destroyed. He'll also explain that the way down to the Skull is blocked by an impenetrable magic barrier, and the soul gem keeping it in place is just on the other side. You'll then go downstairs and encounter two hostile orcs who are reawakening from sleep, defeat them and Erandur will say that the magic barrier you encountered needs to be disabled, to do this he needs a book from the library.

> Head back upstairs with Erandur, if he gets stuck on the stairs either push him up with Unrelenting Force or reload previous save. He'll unlock the door, SAVE before proceeding inside.

> In the library you'll encounter multiple hostile mages and orcs, defeat them all, then Erandur will ask you to find a book called the 'Dreamstride', it's above you in the southeast corner, on a pedestal.

> Take the book back to Erandur who'll then say he needs 'Vaermina's Torpor' which is located in the adjacent laboratory.

> The laboratory contains some more mage's and orcs in close quarters, Erandur will help you to defeat them. Once all the enemies are dead, if you didn't grab one during The Black Star quest there should be two Daedra hearts in here. Also try to find a vampire dust and keep it for the Spellbreaker quest later.

> Now talk to Erandur again then find the Torpor, a red bottle located on the lower level on a bookcase just below Erandur.

> Take it to Erandur who'll tell you to drink it, make sure you are not over-encumbered before consuming the Torpor; you'll be transported back in time and into the body of 'Brother Casimir'.

> You'll find yourself in a dreamy version of the Temple at the time when the orcs attacked, you are told to activate the 'Miasma release chain'. You can't attack anyone and no one will attack you, so just run through 'til you reach the upper level and pull the chain on the wall.

> You'll be transported back to the present and into your own body albeit on the other side of the magic barrier. When your quest updates to 'disable the barrier', pick up the soul gem located to the left of the chain, then go and talk to Erandur.

> Now follow Erandur down to the Staff of Corruption, you'll be attacked a few times more, then Erandur's old-friends will awaken and attack you. Defeat them then talk to Erandur. (If you cannot activate Erandur you can either reload your previous save or exit the Temple and re-enter).

> Talk to him and he'll then proceed to disable the barrier surrounding the Skull of Corruption, wait until he disables it, Vaermina will command you to kill him, you must kill Erandur now!

> Activate the altar to receive the Skull of Corruption.

Volendrung
Level required: 9
Quest name: The Cursed Tribe
Artifact description: Two-handed absorb stamina warhammer
Daedric lord: Malacath

> You may overhear rumors in Riften about trouble at an orc stronghold named 'Largashbur', this will place it on your map, it's located to the southwest of Riften.

> Go to Largashbur but be careful as you approach because you'll trigger a giant to attack the orc's at the gate. Quickly distract and kill the giant avoiding any damage to the orcs. Do not loot the orc's corpses, once the giant is dead, drop the Daedra hearts or troll fats nearby, and talk to 'Atub' or 'Ugor'. (If Ugor is dead, try reloading to see if he is alive. If that doesn't work for you and you are unable to enter the stronghold, climb up the inclined wooden beam on the west side to get in and talk to Atub).

> The orcs will explain that they are cursed, and they require a 'Troll fat' and a 'Daedra heart'. If you haven't dropped them nearby and didn't store them away you can visit an alchemical store such as 'Arcadia's Cauldron' in Whiterun and buy them. If they have none, you can pick up permanent Daedra hearts here:

One on a plate outside Kodlak's room in the Jorrvaskr living quarters in Whiterun.
Two are sold by Enthir at the College of Winterhold.
One on a table in the 'Hall of the Vigilant' located south of Dawnstar past 'Red Road Pass'.

Permanent Troll fats can be found here:

Seventeen can be found inside the 'East Empire Company Warehouse' near Solitude.
Two in Sadri's Used Wares in Windhelm.
Two can be found in the 'Hall of Countenance' in the 'College of Winterhold'.

> Give the ingredients to Atub, follow her and allow her to summon the Daedric Lord 'Malacath' for guidance. He will command that the 'Giant Leader' be killed and his club retrieved. The orc 'Chief Yamarz' asks for your help, agree to help him.

> The giant leader is in 'Fallowstone Cave' located northeast of Riften, you can follow Yamarz as he haphazardly makes his way there, he's very slow and often wanders off, so it's better to fast-travel to 'Riften Stables' and walk there alone. You'll meet Yamarz at the entrance, keep a save outside of the cave, also do not use the Beast Form power at any point whilst inside this cave.

> Follow or lead Yamarz through the cave encountering giants, cave bears, and trolls, do not harm Yamarz. You'll go down several ledges following a stream to a pool on the lowest level. Continue to follow the stream deeper into the cave. A dark path on the right leads up to an area filled with bones and the exit to 'Giant's Grove'.

> Once inside Yamarz will offer to pay you more gold if you kill the giant leader yourself and let him take credit. If you agree he will betray you afterwards, persuade him to perform his duty and he'll charge in and be quickly killed. After the giant leader and Yamarz are dead Malacath will praise you and ask you to take 'Shagrol's Hammer' from the giant's corpse. He wants you to bring it back to Largashbur and 'whip the orcs back into shape'. (If you are unable to activate the giant's corpse re-load the save outside the cave entrance). Exit the grove and turn left, go through the pass and follow the ledge all the way back to the entrance. Return to Largashbur.

> Once there, save your game before speaking to 'Atub', Malacath will ask that you place the hammer on the shrine, save again before placing it. The hammer transforms into the Daedric artifact 'Volendrung'. Make sure you pick it up from the shrine quickly, it will be floating above the skull between the antlers, failing to pick it up quick enough may cause it to disappear forever.

Masque of Clavicus Vile
Level required: 10
Quest name: A Daedra's Best Friend
Artifact description: Heavy helmet with fortify barter and persuasion, and regenerate magicka effects
Daedric lord: Clavicus Vile

You will be given a choice at the end of this quest between two Daedric artifacts, make sure to choose the 'Masque of Clavicus Vile' as the 'Rueful Axe' does NOT count for the Oblivion Walker achievement, I've described how to do this below.

> Go to Falkreath, talk to the town blacksmith 'Lod' and offer to help him find his dog.

> Make sure 'A Daedra's Best Friend' quest is active in your journal, follow the marker to find Lod's dog 'Barbas', once you find him he will engage you in conversation, offer to help him, do not talk to Barbas at any point after this.

> You can then either follow him to 'Haemar's Cavern', which can be very glitchy and irritating, as he wanders off all over the place and attacks everything in sight, or you can just meet him there. It's located through a mountain pass east of Helgen, southwest of Ivarstead.

> To get there without following Barbas, fast-travel to Helgen, follow the road east, you'll soon see the cave on your compass, the road will take you there.

> You should find Barbas outside, you can now talk to him and both of you head inside. Head inside and battle through leveled vampires and their thralls.

> Now enter 'Haemar's Shame', then continue on to the 'Shrine of Clavicus Vile'.

If you were quick you'll see Barbas fighting a few leveled vampires and a vampire boss, help him kill them then activate the shrine, do not talk to Barbas here.

> Clavicus will ask you to retrieve the 'Rueful Axe' from 'Rimerock Burrow' located far to the northwest along the high west road from Solitude. Exit the cave using the passage behind the shrine, pull the chain on the right and make your way to the burrow.

> The entrance to the burrow is found on a path to the east of the marker, it leads you precariously down the mountain side. Enter and find the powerful mage 'Sebastian Lort' and his atronach, kill them and retrieve the axe from the table, then return to the shrine.

> Upon returning to the shrine activate it, Lord Vile will give you a choice; make sure to choose 'No deal, take back... etc'. Hang around for Him to talk a bit and you'll receive the artifact the 'Masque of Clavicus Vile', equip it at least once.

Spellbreaker
Level required: 12
Quest name: The Only Cure
Artifact description: Powerful magic ward deflection shield
Daedric lord: Peryite

You will require certain items in order to begin this quest so it's best to get them before going:

Vampire Dust and a Deathbell
The Mortar and Pestle - The alchemist shop found on the lower east side of Dawnstar should have both for sale, or you can find a vampire dust on the shelf downstairs and a deathbell on the dresser upstairs. The Palace of the Kings - Windhelm, use the door to the upstairs and find a vampire dust on the shelf in Wuunferth's quarters. If these are no good you can just go out and kill a vampire - Movarth's Lair near Morthal (part of the 'Laid to Rest' Side-quest) is a good location, also try 'Cronvangr Cave' found south of Windhelm, just southeast of Gallows Rock. Deathbells also grow all over Hjaalmarch the lands surrounding Morthal.

Silver Ingot
There are usually silver ingots that can be stolen near the forges of some city blacksmith's, namely Ghorza's in Markarth and Beirund's in Solitude. There's also some in the jarl's quarters in Dragonsreach Whiterun and a bunch found outside the smelter in Karthwasten which is just east of the shrine.

Flawless Ruby
The easiest one to grab can be found in the river east of Markarth; Head out from Markarth Stables past 'Salvius Farm' and follow the road east, you'll cross a bridge then go up a hill, the hill will curve left and then descend to a crossroads with a signpost at the bottom. If you go in between the signpost and the tree to the left in a north-easterly direction you should come to some rocks overlooking the river, look down and you'll see a waterlogged rowing boat, you'll find a guaranteed Flawless Ruby here floating in the boat.

If for whatever reason it's not there you can try Korvanjund - if you haven't been there already as part of the Civil War questline it would be fine to start it now, it's very early on and doesn't conflict with any other quests. Once you reach the Korvanjund Crypt area, the room where the throne is with the Word Wall in the back, look up on the ledges on the eastern wall, about where the throne is you'll see two alcoves with large pots resting on them, there is a guaranteed flawless ruby in one of those pots, along with various other gems. Use Unrelenting Force to shoot the gems out, but be careful as they could fly out anywhere.

You can also try Shriekwind Bastion - Battle through the vampires and skeletons to find a room near the north on the local map with a vampire's thrall and a throne-like chair in it. There are some torture racks and there's blood all over the floor. In this room you will find a guaranteed flawless ruby along with two other large normal rubies, it may be hard to see hidden in the shadows, but it is definitely there.

Another guaranteed flawless ruby can be found on Solstheim in Damphall Mine. A little way through you'll come to a waterlogged room with a little bridge in the middle. On that bridge is a flawless ruby sat there next to the lantern.

Once you have all the items you can move forward with the quest:

> After reaching level 12 you may have met an 'Afflicted Refugee' on the roads which places a marker for the shrine on your map, otherwise you can find the 'Shrine to Peryite' to the far northeast of Markarth and just northwest of Karthwasten.

> When you reach the shrine but before talking to the friendly Khajiit 'Kesh the Clean' safely store all of your silver ingots, deathbells, vampire dusts and flawless rubies you may have on you into the cooking pot there above the fire. This is to avoid a potential glitch.

> Now talk to Kesh and ask to commune with 'Peryite'. Kesh will tell you that you need the four ingredients to summon the Daedric Lord and he'll activate the quest properly for you. Take the ingredients from the pot and hand them to Kesh then allow him to knock up the mixture, do not interrupt him, (if you mistakenly glitch the quest by interrupting Kesh and for some reason forgot to save before, you may be still allowed to continue; kill Kesh and loot the ingredients back, activate the cauldron and mix them up yourself).

> With the mixture finished activate the cauldron, Peryite will appear as some ghostly skeevers and after some dialogue he will point you to a very large nearby Dwemer ruin called 'Bthardamz' to kill 'Orchendor'. It's not far so just walk towards the marker.

> You'll encounter unique hostiles known as 'Afflicted' surrounding the entrance to Bthardamz, kill them off and enter the ruin. Battle or sneak through the Afflicted and occasional Dwemer machine until you reach the 'Workshop'.

> Proceed inside and continue through and into the 'Upper District', your compass indicator may be incorrect at this point, but just continue up to the 'Lower District', go through and into the 'Study'. Head through the study and back into the 'Lower District (upper level)' continue through again until you reach the last area the 'Arcanex'.

> Battle through the machines, including a Centurion, until you reach a gassy room with pipes, make a save before facing the powerful spellsword 'Orchendor', he is highly resistant to magic.

> Once Orchendor is dead, collect the key from his corpse and head up to the elevator and back outside.

> Fast-travel or run back to the shrine, talk to Kesh first and ask to inhale the fumes, or if he's dead, just inhale them anyway. Peryite will appear again and reward you with the artifact 'Spellbreaker'.

Dawnbreaker
Level required: 12
Quest name: The Break of Dawn
Artifact description: One-handed fire-damage sword that does extra damage to undead
Daedric lord: Meridia

You may have come across 'Meridia's Beacon' accidentally by now, if you have, skip to the 4th point below.

> Find the 'Statue to Meridia', it's located on 'Mount Kilkreath', to the west of Solitude;

Follow the road west from Solitude and watch for a side road to the north. Follow the road, after a while there will be a small side road on your right, follow it to the shrine.

> Meridia will request you retrieve her beacon, it can be located at any one of '32' random dungeons. Your quest marker will show you which one. (If there is no quest marker for the beacon it is either in the 'Dawnstar Sanctuary', near Dawnstar, or aboard the ship 'The Katariah', both of these require the completion of the Dark Brotherhood quest 'Hail Sithis!'), either pick it up during this quest or go to the marked dungeon.

> Once inside proceed through and retrieve the beacon.

> If you've completed Dragon Rising before this make sure to kill any dragons in the area before returning the beacon to the pedestal at the Statue to Meridia. Meridia will talk to you in the form of a sphere of light, and ask you to clear out the ruins below Her shrine and kill the Necromancer 'Malkoran'. (If a dragon appears when you are above Skyrim, Meridia and the dragon will fight, and you will be stuck in the sky indefinitely. You can use sneak to hide and wait 24 hours, the dragon should go away and Meridia will continue talking).

> Drop down and enter the ruins, proceed through and activate the light pedestal's to re-direct the beam through the rooms, saving as you go. You'll go back outside to the balcony, and then into the 'Kilkreath Catacombs'.

The next bit is very glitchy, please read all of the points below before continuing into the catacombs:

Do not save again in the catacombs, until everything is dead.
Do not use any type of paralysis spell on Malkoran.
Do not use Unrelenting Force Shout on Malkoran.
Do not use Beast Form to kill Malkoran.
Do not use Namira's Ring to feed on Malkoran's corpse.

> Once inside proceed through the catacombs killing any 'Shades' you encounter until you finally activate the last beacon.

> Continue on to find Malkoran, when his physical form dies his shade will appear, kill his shade as well.

> Make sure to collect all the loot and that everything is dead before you activate the final pedestal to retrieve the Daedric artifact 'Dawnbreaker'.

> Return to the statue and Meridia will ask you to keep the sword and wield it in Her name, this completes the quest.

Sanguine's Rose
Level required: 14
Quest name: A Night to Remember
Artifact description: Dremora summoning staff
Daedric lord: Sanguine

Glitch warning
Do not talk to 'Sam Guevenne' before completing the quest for Molag Bal above.

> Once you reach level 14 you will soon encounter 'Sam Guevenne', He'll be standing at the bar in any one of the main city inns. Here is a list of the main '15' inns that Sam can appear in: Eastmarch: Kynesgrove's Braidwood Inn, Windhelm's Candlehearth Hall or New Gnisis Club, Falkreath's Dead Man's Drink, Haafingar Hold: Dragon Bridge's Four Shields Tavern, Solitude's Winking Skeever, Hjaalmarch: Morthal's Moorside Inn, Dawnstar's Windpeak Inn, The Reach: Markarth's Silver-Blood Inn, The Rift: Riften's The Bee and Barb, Ivarstead's Vilemyr Inn, Whiterun Hold: Rorikstead's Frostfruit Inn, Riverwood's Sleeping Giant Inn, Whiterun's Bannered Mare, and Winterhold's Frozen Hearth.

> Once you find Sam talk to Him and He'll challenge you to a drinking competition to win a staff, keep drinking until you black out.

> You'll awake inside the 'Temple of Dibella' in Markarth and talk to the priestess 'Senna'. She'll be very annoyed with you claiming that you messed up the temple. You can either clean the mess up (picking up two bottles of wine, a giant's toe, a hagraven feather, and a note from Sam claiming that you need these items to get the staff), or you can bribe Senna, do not use persuade. Bribing her is advisable as you do not need any of these items and some can fail to spawn.

> Talk to Senna again and she'll point you to 'Ennis' in Rorikstead.

Now you have a choice to bypass a lot of this quest, skip down to the point where it says 'The Wedding Ring' below if you're not bothered, it doesn't glitch if you decide to skip.

> Go to Rorikstead and talk to Ennis, he wants you to retrieve his goat 'Gleda' for him. You can pay 1000 Gold for the goat or try to intimidate him, do not use persuade, it's quite easy however to retrieve his goat from the nearby hillside. Gleda is being guarded by 'Grok the Giant'. You can talk to the goat to make it follow you back to Ennis, which will set Grok onto you, or you could sneak up to Gleda, talk, then run back to Ennis, or you could try using a calm spell on Grok. Once you have Gleda return to Ennis.

> Ennis will direct you to 'Ysolda' in Whiterun, (If you've married Ysolda she'll be in the home you told her to stay in).

> Fast-travel to Ysolda's location, talk to her and she claims you bought a 'Wedding Ring' from her on credit and she wants the 2000 Gold for it, or the ring back. You can pay, intimidate or go find the ring, do not use persuade.

> The Wedding Ring can be found at 'Witchmist Grove', a small shack to the far south of 'Windhelm' and also south of 'Kynesgrove'.

> Travel out there and find the hagraven 'Moira', your fiancée. Kill her and get the ring from her beautiful body. If, due to a possible glitch, you cannot find the ring go back to Ysolda and bribe her.

> Convincing Ysolda or returning her ring will direct you to 'Morvunskar' a fort located on the mountain southwest of Windhelm, go there.

> Proceed inside, you'll be facing a lot of high level mage's in here. You'll find the Destruction Skill Book 'Mystery of Talara v3' on a bookshelf in the northeast corridor and the Smithing Skill Book 'Cherim's Heart' next to the forge while you battle through the fort.

> Eventually at the end you will reach the portal to 'Misty Grove', make a save before going near it. You enter this place just by walking into it, not by activating it.

> Walk through to find Sam and some guests sitting around a table, He'll reveal Himself to be none other than the Daedric lord 'Sanguine'. Any of the items you may have picked up in the temple lose their quest value, you are rewarded with the Daedric artifact 'Sanguine's Rose' and returned to the inn where it all began.

Ebony Mail
Level required: 30
Quest name: Boethiah's Calling
Artifact description: Unique poisonous heavy armour
Daedric lord: Boethiah

Glitch warning
If you have remapped your control configuration, reset them to default for this quest.
Get rid of any followers before starting this quest (look ahead to the 4th point below).

> After reaching level 30 a 'Boethiah Cultist' should attack you, if this happens read the book 'Boethiah's Proving' on their corpse. If this hasn't happened yet you can go directly to the 'Sacellum of Boethiah', it's located east of Windhelm;

Follow the east road from Windhelm passing some farms on the way, you'll soon reach 'Traitor's Post', a little further along you should notice a side path that turns up the mountain and leads you up to the Sacellum.

> When you arrive you'll hear the game's danger music and see two cultists fighting but no one will attack you. Speak to the priestess, do not kill or allow the priestess to die. She will tell you that you need to prove that "Your tongue can wield a lie". Basically this entails leading a follower to Boethiah's altar to be sacrificed. If you accidentally refuse the quest, or for some reason, the cultists are dead, re-load previous save.

> You will lose your follower forever, and this will not work if your follower is 'Essential', meaning they are vital to a specific quest and are therefore immortal (like Delphine). Also do not use a Companion it may cause a glitch even if you have completed the Companion questline. You could use Aranea or Nelcar from The Black Star quest otherwise it will work with these potential followers without completing a prior quest: 'Belrand' located in the Winking Skeever in Solitude, 'Jenassa' located in the Drunken Huntsman in Whiterun, 'Marcurio' found in the Bee and Barb in Riften, 'Stenvar' found in the Candlehearth Hall in Windhelm, and 'Vorstag' found in the Silver-blood Inn in Markarth. Also your housecarl, offered as a follower after helping the Jarls of Skyrim, such as Lydia, Argis, Calder or Iona will work, choose and recruit your preferred follower.

> Bring your follower back to the Sacellum. Be sure to take back any items you gave to your follower as they may disappear. When you're ready talk to your follower and use the command 'I need you to do something' then move your target to the black pillar and select 'Use the Pillar of Sacrifice'. The follower will become stuck to the altar, kill them by any means you wish (you don't have to use the 'Blade of Sacrifice').

> Boethiah will use your follower's corpse as a conduit to talk, do not use your journal or menu during the blurred visuals at this point. She'll state that the last person standing will be given a task, resulting in everyone fighting each other, (including you) to the death. Kill everyone, it may be tactical to allow some of them to kill each other off before finishing the remaining ones.

> Once they're all dead Boethiah will possess another corpse, if the corpse She possesses enters combat mode for any reason, or refuses to continue dialogue reload your previous.

> Boethiah will tell you to kill Her old champion and become Her new champion, pointing you to 'Knifepoint Ridge' located far northwest of Falkreath and west-southwest of 'Bannermist Tower'.

> Take the small northwest path, and save when you arrive. Continue through the bandit camp and enter 'Knifepoint Mine'.

When you enter (possibly due to having been there before you began the quest) you may find a wall of iron ore blocking your path, making the quest unable to be completed. A known workaround is to look at the bottom left corner of the wall of iron ore and mine the Corundum Vein. This will pull you through the wall allowing you to continue with the quest. Note however that this will only work once, so make sure you have completed everything before heading back up this path. As soon as you have walked through the location of the wall it will reappear, making the rest of the mine unreachable.

> Despite Boethiah's order to kill the bandits stealthily, being detected does not result in any penalty. However most of the bandits inside the mine are busy with their backs to you and can be assassinated. Do not use Beast Form in this mine as it can cause glitches.

> Make your way through the mine killing the bandits as you go, be on the lookout for the Archery Skill Book 'Vernaccus and Bourlor' near the blacksmith's forge.

> You'll find Boethiah's Champion in a makeshift wooden house inside the last room of the mine, make a save here before you battle him to the death. CAUTION: Do not equip the Ebony Mail directly from the loot menu on the champion's body, instead use cn_A to first take it into your inventory and leave the menu. You may now equip the Ebony Mail and Boethiah will speak to you one last time telling you that you are Her new champion and give you the Ebony Mail artifact as your reward completing the quest.

The Ebony Mail has an automatic poison effect whenever you crouch while wearing it. This can be hazardous in friendly areas, as you may cause harm or even death to important non-hostile characters.

Ebony Blade
Level required: 20
Quest name: The Whispering Door
Artifact description: Two-handed, health absorbing sword
Daedric lord: Mephala

This quest requires the completion of the Main Story quest 'Dragon Rising' consequently unleashing indefinite dragon attacks across Skyrim.

> Go to the 'Bannered Mare' in Whiterun and ask the barkeep 'Hulda' about gossip or rumours, you might need to cycle through a few before you get the topic about the Jarl's children (if she won't start the quest go to the 4th point below, but it's better to start it from here).

> Hulda will point you to 'Jarl Balgruuf the Greater'.

> If he's still in Whiterun, after the siege of Whiterun, (during the Civil War questline) go find him in Dragonsreach, if not, he'll be in the 'Blue Palace' in Solitude. Talk to him about his children.

> Speaking to Balgruuf will point you to his cheeky son 'Nelkir'.

> Nelkir is a Nord child usually found in the main hall of Dragonsreach or wandering the streets of Whiterun (activate Whispering Door quest to help find him), talk to him and he'll reveal the existence of a secret door in the basement of Dragonsreach.

> Go through the kitchen on the west side of Dragonsreach's main hall and proceed down the stairs, open the closet door (with hay at the foot). At the back of this small room is a locked door covered in blood. Activate the door and a voice will reveal itself to be the Daedric Lord 'Mephala'. She'll tell you that some of Her power is locked behind the door and She needs you to release it, pointing you back Nelkir.

> Go speak to Nelkir, he'll reveal the only two people who carry the key to the locked door. Pickpocket the 'Whispering Door key' from either 'Farengar Secret-Fire' or Balgruuf.

Caution: Make a very important save here before heading down into the basement, this is a fall back save if the Oblivion Walker achievement fails to unlock the first time.

> Now head back down to the basement and open the door, you will find the journal 'Admonition Against Ebony' warning you against taking the sword laying next to it, ignore the warning and pick up the Daedric artifact the 'Ebony Blade', quest complete.

If you got the two artifacts from Hircine you should have at least '15' Daedric artifacts at this point, unlocking the Oblivion Walker achievement.

Please allow at least 30-40 seconds for the achievement to unlock, the game has to go over some checks and it may take a while, also check your achievements list as it may not pop up on screen. If it doesn't unlock after a while try reloading the save before picking up the artifact and try again, it often unlocks on the second or third try. If it still will not unlock then your only option now is to complete the final Daedric quest below.

Mehrune's Razor
Level required: 20
Quest name: Pieces of the Past
Artifact description: One-handed dagger with 1% instant kill chance on any target (excluding Miraak and Karstaag)
Daedric lord: Mehrune's Dagon

> Upon reaching level 20 a courier will find you in any major city, inviting you to visit a museum in Dawnstar. Be sure to make a save before arriving in Dawnstar.

> Go to Dawnstar and find 'Silus Vesuius'' house, go in, speak to him and offer to help retrieve the three fragments of 'Mehrunes Razor', SAVE.

If Silus is hostile towards you for no reason the only fix is to reload the save before arriving in Dawnstar.

> The 'Pommel Stone' is in 'Dead Crone Rock', a dungeon swarming with a lot of Forsworn and mages located southwest of Markarth. The journey there can be troublesome, but can be completed with good navigation (you could go southwest from 'Dushnikh Yal' and through 'Hag Rock Redoubt' or manoeuvre your way through the hills heading southwest, this is made much easier with a horse).

> Once inside begin ascending a series of tiers, battling Forsworn and mages, be on the lookout for the Alchemy Skill Book 'A Game at Dinner' located by a lever opening the way to the rooftop later.

> At the top of the second flight of stairs a metal gate must be unlocked by a lever in another room. Continue back outside and upwards to the pinnacle of the ruin, where 'Drascua' the Hagraven leader possesses the pommel, make sure you kill Drascua and loot the pommel stone from her.

> The 'Blade Shards' are located in the orc fort 'Cracked Tusk Keep', it can be found to the west of Falkreath. There are three entrances into the keep. The best entrance is a locked door to the right of the main entrance.

> Once inside proceed down some steps. This opens directly into an unguarded room where you'll find a sliding panel on the wall to the right of the cage barring access to the 'Cracked Tusk Vaults'. If you can pick the expert lock it can allow you to access the vaults and the quest item without encountering any enemies in the interior. Otherwise you'll have to get the key from the orc chief in the other room.

> Activate the levers to the left and right of the final barrier to open the way, watch out for the multiple floor traps and find the blade shards on the pedestal. Once you've retrieved the shards.

> The 'Hilt' is in 'Jorgen's House' in Morthal, travel there. Either pick the lock to his house or persuade Jorgen to give you the key. Jorgen may have died but it's still possible to find the Hilt in the chest.

> Return to the museum in Dawnstar. Give Silus all the fragments and he'll ask you to meet him at the 'Shrine of Mehrunes Dagon', located in the mountains in the south of the Pale. Head there now but do not travel there with Silus.

> Upon arriving at the shrine make an important save and keep it to fall back on in case the achievement fails to unlock. Silus will tell you he's unable to re-forge the blade and ask you to do it. Activate the altar to talk to Mehrunes Dagon. Lord Dagon will command you to kill Silus. You must kill Silus immediately to obtain the artifact, so kill him as quickly as possible.

> When Silus is dead activate the altar again. Lord Dagon will give you the Daedric artifact 'Mehrune's Razor' and then he'll summon two Dremora to test you. Kill them in your preferred manner and retrieve the key to the shrine's interior from one of them.

You should have acquired not 15, but 16 Daedric artifacts at this point and unlocked the 'Oblivion Walker' achievement. If it doesn't unlock after a good 30-40 seconds try reloading your save a couple times and waiting. If for whatever reason it has still not unlocked then your only option now is to begin a new campaign from scratch and attempt all Daedric quests again.

Otherwise congratulations you have unlocked the most difficult and frustrating achievement in the whole of Skyrim.

First, don't kill dogs .
Secondly, the trophy was glitchy on previous generation consoles, so make a separate save before each Daedric quest, and then double-check the statistics.
Thirdly, you need to complete the quest as the Daedra requires it of you, otherwise you risk being left without an artifact: you will fail the quest and the trophy will not be counted.

There are a total of 15 Daedric artifacts in the game (of which several are variable) and the Skeleton Key, which does not count. You need to complete all 15 quests:
1. Mehrunes' Razor - quest "Shards of Past Glory" (upon reaching level 20, the protagonist is found by a messenger with an offer to visit the "Museum of the Mythical Dawn" in Dawnstar ).
2. Mace of Molag Bal - quest "House of Horrors" (on reaching level 10, go to Markarth and look for Turan).
3. Wabbajack - quest "Mad Mind" (go to Solitude in the Blue Palace area and look for the crazy Bosmer Dervenin).
4. Volendrung - quest "Cursed Tribe" (on the road from Ivarstead to Riften there is an orc fortress Largashbur . Upon reaching level 10, you will have the opportunity to take part in the battle of orcs and a giant - the main thing is to have time to kill the giant before he tramples all the orcs).
5. Star of Azura/Black Star - quest "Black Star" (you need to get to the monument to Azura - either find it yourself, or stumble upon a dark elf making a pilgrimage, or accidentally hear a mention of the monument - then the location will appear on the map. Depending on If you make a decision at the end of the quest, you will acquire one or another unbreakable great soul stone).
6. Namira's Ring - quest "Taste of Death" (go to Markarth - Understone Fortress - Hall of the Dead and talk to brother Verelius).
7. Ring of Hircine / Skin of the Savior - quest "Call of the Moon" (go to Falkreath - Falkreath barracks - prison and talk to Sinding. Depending on the decision made at the end of the quest, you will acquire one or another Daedric artifact).
8. Mask of Clavicus Vile/Axe of Sorrow - quest "The Dog is a Daedra's Friend" (go to Falkreath and talk to the guard about the stray dog, after which you will be sent to the blacksmith Lod. The dog will be found on a nearby road. Depending on the decision made at the end of the quest You will acquire one or another Daedric artifact).
9. Ogma Infinium - quest “Beyond the Ordinary” (much north of the College of Winterhold is the location of the post of Septimius Segonius . You need to talk to him).
10. Rose of Sanguine - quest “An Unforgettable Night” (on reaching level 14, go to any tavern and look for the cheerful magician Sam Geven there and try to outdrink him).
11. Breaker of Spells - quest "The Only Cure" (on reaching level 10, go to the sanctuary of Peryite : the location is in the mountains northeast of Markarth and northwest of the settlement of Karthwasten , south of the Druadach stronghold and southeast of Dwarven ruins Btardamz . To complete the quest, the following ingredients are required: a flawless ruby, a silver ingot, a poisonous bell and a vampire's ashes ).
12. Radiance of the Dawn - quest "Dawn Dawn" (first you need to find the Guiding Star of Meridia - it will randomly appear in the chest when clearing the Nth dungeon. If the star is not found, look for the statue of Meridia - along the path from the Dragon Bridge in side of Solitude, at the intersection at the sign, go north to Fort Hragstad . Almost immediately after the intersection you can see arches marking the path along the steps, which will lead to the sanctuary).
13. Skull of Corruption - quest "The Walking Nightmare" (go to Dawnstar - the Peak of the Winds tavern and look for the priest of Mara Erandur).
14. Ebony Mail - quest "Call of Boethiah" (upon reaching level 30, look for Boethiah's chapel : from the Windhelm stables on the road east past the farms "Brandy Mug" , Hlaalu and "Holly" . After the third farm you need to go a little more east and turn towards the mountain, from the foot of which there is a path leading up to the chapel).
15. Ebony Blade - quest “The Door That Whispers” (upon reaching level 20, you need to ask Hulda from the “Prancing Mare” in Whiterun what people are talking about. Then she will say that strange things are said about the jarl’s children. Quest “Dragon in the Sky " must be completed).

8. Clavicus Vile's Mask/Axe of Sorrow - quest "The Dog is a Daedra's Friend" In fact, there is no choice, you must take the Mask; the Ax of Sorrow does not count as an artifact. Take the Ax and lose the trophy.

In addition to completing the quest, you need to keep the artifact with you. Not literally. Can be put in a chest. On PS3 I didn’t receive a trophy due to the sale of one artifact, I had to replay the game

Azura's Star/Black Star is also without options. Only the "Star of Azura" is counted as an artifact.

I took the trophy - fortunately I took the Ring of Hircine and the Skin of the Savior together, but made a mistake - I removed the enchantment from the gloves of the master blacksmith (wow, I thought I’d make a cool armor at the start))), necessary for dialogues with orcs (without them there are no lines in Largashbur for the quest "Cursed tribe"). So don't make my mistakes.

In the 4th quest "Cursed Tribe" you need to land, that is, you need to start going directly from Ivarstead. And move towards Riften, on the right side there will be Largashbur. I started walking from Riften and for some reason the giant managed to kill everyone. That is, I could not start the quest, the quest giver was dead. I didn’t know what to do, I thought I was already kaput. But then I changed the starting point and everything went like clockwork. Maybe it will help someone.

ATTENTION!!!
5. Azura's Star - be sure to go to Azura and take an ordinary star.
7. Ring of Hircine / Skin of the Savior - I took the skin.
9. Ogma Infinium - we don’t read the book. (well, I didn't read it)
8. Mask of Clavicus Vile/Axe of Sorrow - be sure to take the mask.
After everything, a trophy should appear.

Do not sell the Flawless Ruby , necessary for the quest "The Only Cure"!!! Quite a rare stone in the game. I got a couple of pieces during the game, but sold them out of ignorance. Because of this, then we had to collect all the stones of Barenziah. I didn't want to go back to the old save.

I screwed up one quest, sold one artifact out of ignorance, but still got the trophy. Bottom line - you can sell artifacts, and it’s better to take Hircine’s ring and skin together, at least just in case or to get a Black Star instead of Azura’s Star

Some say that for a trophy it is not necessary to keep things with you and you can safely sell them, others say that you must keep them. I'm telling you that I collected all 15 artifacts, but didn't get the trophy. Most likely due to the fact that he sold the book received for the quest “Beyond the Ordinary.” So be careful and DO NOT SELL ANYTHING until the trophy drops

Comrades! Daedric artifacts can be sold! I sold Wabbajack, the light of dawn. I read the book, no need to save it! The main criterion is to simply choose an azure star and ensure that each artifact is in your inventory! Good luck to you, the achievement only seems difficult.

If you suddenly get lost during the passage, you can look at the completed quests in the menu. The presence of the artifacts themselves is not necessary.

In theory, the Walking Nightmare quest is skippable, because if you don’t kill the magician at the end, he will destroy the Skull of Corruption artifact needed for the trophy.

Also be careful with the Mehrunes Razor; if you spare the character, you will not receive the artifact. I came across this, now I have to redo all the quests. It wasn’t enough even taking into account the fact that I took both the skin and the ring

You can get the Radiance of Dawn in two copies, if during the battle the sword falls from the pedestal, you can pick up the fallen sword, while the scripts require interaction with the pedestal, after which you will have 2 swords in your inventory. The second copy does not count toward the achievement.

After completing the quest in Largashbur, I didn’t get Volendrung, I played another 20 hours until I realized it. He returned, he was not on the antlers of the deer’s head, he ran around all around, talked to everyone, as it turned out, he just fell to the ground. I was already thinking that I would have to throw this trophy away.

There are problems with the first hint:

"First of all, don't kill dogs." means that in the quest “a dog is a friend of the Daedra” you cannot kill the dog, otherwise the reward will not be a Daedric artifact.

Also, the resulting artifacts can be sold - for a trophy, it is enough that they have been in the inventory at least once.

You can also get the Ring of Hircine and the Skin of the Savior at the same time. To do this, you need to spare Sinding, and after killing the hunters you need to talk to him, then kill him, but not skin him . After this, leave the cave, talk to Hircine, say that they could not cope with Sinding and receive a reward. Then you can return to the cave and pick up the skin

Skull of Corruption, Walking Nightmare

Some quests are variable, and an artifact is given with any choice. Except for the "Walking Nightmare" quest. When choosing one of the options (not the one the Daedra insists on), the artifact is destroyed, which means you won’t get the trophy!

The statistics will indicate that all 15 Daedra quests have been completed, but you will not see the prize. Therefore, I recommend leaving it for later, so that you can complete it last, and if the choice the game insists on does not coincide with your moral choice, simply reboot after receiving the prize.

Unfortunately, I found out about this too late, and he was one of the first in the quest chain. Therefore, because of this game design feature/bug, I was left without platinum (

I would like to draw your attention to the fact that at the beginning of the quest “The Only Cure”, after we bring all four ingredients and approach the cauldron, you must ask Peryite about the reward, otherwise the artifact will not be given upon completion of the quest! I didn’t ask and had to replay for several hours again, and considering the fact that the quest requires you to walk through endless Dwemer ruins, this is doubly sad...
