Give away 50 items to inmates and guards. Fairly simple. You can give guards and inmates any item from your inventory by pressing Y and tabbing over to the “GIVE” tab and using the interface to give the item away. Beware, however, giving some items may make inmates angry which affects the dynamics of your game. You don’t want everyone mad at you, trust me.

Not actually checked this myself yet but does giving out items through jobs like librarian and mail delivery count towards this? If so, then doing one of those jobs for a while would surely add on quite a few plus has the added bonus of making the other inmates like you more.

I started up a new file on Center Perks prison, that way even if I gave a gift that made someone mad it didn't matter. Then I just went around giving people whatever I found in desks until their inventory was full. (Other solutions have explanations on how to give items, so I see no need for redundancy.) On a side note, you absolutely CAN give guards gifts as well. Using this method you can pop this one in 2-4 in game days easy.

when near an inmate/guard to bring up the menu, now give them stuff you don't need. Try getting a favour so if you give them an item, it helps with this achievement, gives you coins, and a chance of a minion. It doesn't matter if they like it or not, but be careful with who you give your items to, and what you give em. You don't want to piss anyone off.

You can give away any item in your possession/inventory to any other inmate in the prison. In order to give an item to an inmate, press 
when facing them and then navigate to the Give menu. You can then select any item you currently hold and give it to them. Inmates will only accept up to 3 items each day as their inventory will reach capacity. You can find items by searching the desks in the cells of fellow inmates.
It doesn't matter what items you give away, they will all count towards this trophy. This trophy is cumulative across all prisons but you can easily get it out of the way in the first prison, Central Perks.
