Why down vote? He takes his time to do these guides and are brilliant to say the least. Thank you mate for your time and effort. I remember I mailed you before about the first game and you answered me and gave advice. Cheers Bro. Keep up the good work

Looking into playing this game. How hard is it to get all achievements?

I just wanna add, you can get all difficulty achievements by beating the game on Classic mode. To make it even easier, you can enable infinite stamina, one hit melee kills, and invincibility and you still get any achievement having those on.

Why do you need 3 playthroughs? Why not start playing on Casual or Survivor, then a little bit of NG+ for Skills and Upgrades and a second time on Classic?

The easiest way to get Nightmare difficulty AND all other difficulty related achievements all in one go is to play the game on Classic mode. Classic mode counts as a tier above all other difficulties.

To make it even more of a cake walk, you can enable infinite stamina, one hit melee kills, and invincibility in the menu settings. Even with those on, you can still unlock achievements and they don't count against anything. I beat the game on Classic mode with all those modifiers on and I unlocked the achievements for all other difficulties including Nightmare and Survival.

Also to note, when you play on Classic difficulty, you only have 7 saves, so try to space out your sessions and saves. I completed the game with 3 saves left. And when you complete Classic mode, you unlock infinite ammo as well.

Nightmare difficulty is unlocked from the beginning. It’s strongly recommended that you set your first playthrough of The Evil Within 2 to Nightmare in order to practice for Classic Mode (if you intend to unlock every achievement in the game in as few playthroughs as possible).

Upon completing The Evil Within 2 for the first time, you’ll unlock Classic Mode, which is essentially Nightmare difficulty. However, autosaves and checkpoints are disabled in Classic Mode. You cannot upgrade any of Sebastian’s weapons or skills, and you are limited to a total of seven manual saves in Classic Mode.

See the “You Asked For It… Again” achievement down below for more information on Classic Mode.

Nightmare is the hardest difficulty available from the start. Again, I suggest to start the game on Nightmare in order to avoid a full playthrough later with weapon hunting. The game is not very hard, thanks to Checkpoints (IMO) so there is no need to have a perfect knowledge of the game, the levels or the enemies in this difficult. I will write some tips that helped me in the journey:

Enemies hit hard, die with more shots and are more frequent respect the other difficulties: You will never know when an enemy will spawn from grass, from inside a car or from nowhere, so be always on your guard and don't rush. Also, you don't have the radar that shows you if they spotted or heard you. However, they are not smarter, as I noticed that I could sneak between them without many problems and also you know if they spotted you by the change on the background music, their different patterns and sometimes with Sebastian saying something.

Don't abuse of Ammo or Healing items!: Bosses and fighting scenes are hard, but if you are cautious with ammo and healing, you can manage them after some tries. I've written some strategies for the related trophies and You Asked For It... Again.

Stealth and running away are not SOME options, they are THE options!: You must use sneak kills everything you can, in order to avoid wasting ammo or healing items. Take your time, study the enemies and the patterns, control the surroundings, hide! If enemies spot you, running away is the first solutions. Try to lose eyes contact with them or run in the nearest safe house. The enemies can open doors but cannot go inside the safe houses! Also, they can't go inside some rooms that make you progress in the chapters. Use this in your advantage. Feel free to restart the checkpoint if you think you wasted too many resources.

Don't always fight: Sometimes just try to go past the enemies without thinking about killing all of them by fighting or sneaking.

Take all the ammos, healing items and resources you can: Exploring for collectables will help you find many useful things.

Shotgun is your friend!: I use it for almost all the game. It is very powerful and can kill enemies in 2 shots , thus dropping them to the ground so you can stomp them for instant kill. For me, this is the first weapon to upgrade. Improve the damage, the cartridge and the recharge time. Crossbow is another good option. Ice bolts freeze the enemies and you can kill them with one knife hit! Use it for stronger enemies (like Hysteria) and try to use them on large group of enemies. Shock bolts also can help to stun enemies for running away or give you time to kill enemies separated, while smoke bolts could be useful only after 3 upgrade: You can’t sneak kill without the upgrades.

For Sebastian's abilities, go for stamina, health and healing items effectiveness: Other useful abilities are the one that permits you to use automatically a bottle when grabbed by enemies and the one that permits you to automatically avoid an attack.

Some trophies are easier to get in NG+ Casual difficulty: I already wrote about them in the Roadmap and you can see the trophy description for better info. If you are confident enough, however, feel free to try them on Nightmare.

Last tip I want to give is to use the official wiki, which I have linked to below. You will find useful info and possible strategies about the enemies. I used this link very little so as to not spoil anything for me but if you want to speed up and don't want to think about your own strategy, this is a good option for you: LINK

The others difficulty related trophies will unlock together with this one.
