How to unlock the Wait For It... achievement in The Evil Within 2 - Definitive Guide

Ambush is a skill in the Stealth tree, to even buy this you need to have bought Low Profile 1 for 1500 Green Gel so you can then buy Ambush for 3000 Green Gel.

For this skill to take effect you need to be in cover and wait for an enemy to come towards you. When the enemy is close enough you'll see the Stealth Assassination symbol appear above their head. Press cn_A to Stealth Kill around the piece of cover and the achievement will unlock.

Nice inclusion of a picture of the skill details. But if there can be a video showing how Ambush is done it could be better.

This skill is highly useful for players who prefer patience and stealth, and can help save some ammo in the long term. So I recommend having it, not just for the achievement.

easy place to get this is in chapter five once you get into city hall from the back if you ran away from the monster you will end up in a tunnel make sure you have the ambush skill unlocked and take an immediate right and hang back to watch the enemy pattern when you see him walk down the hallway in front of you and disappear go into the hallway and hide behind the wall to your left. now just wait till he works his way back and once he starts to turn the corner hit x for the kill boom trophy earned. if you miss this there is also another guy that is kinda hiding in a corner so just in case you mess up the first time

In order to obtain this achievement, you must purchase the “Ambush” skill for Sebastian. Once you start chapter 3, you can use one of the mirrors to return to Sebastian’s office. Go and sit in the wheelchair in Sebastian’s office, pick the stealth skill tree, spend 1,500 green gel to unlock “Low Profile 1,” and then spend an additional 3,000 green gel to unlock the “Ambush” skill above “Low Profile 1.”

Once you have “Ambush” unlocked, find an area with an enemy. Enter cover using and move to a corner. Wait for the enemy to patrol by the corner. Make sure that the enemy is in the middle of the screen so the sneak kill icon appears. Once the sneak kill icon is on the screen, press , and Sebastian will perform an ambush. You can do this achievement anywhere in the game once you have purchased the “Ambush” skill, but remember that you can’t perform a sneak kill if the enemy is alert and knows where you are.

To kill from cover, you need to upgrade the "Stealth" branch and use one "Red Gel"
