How to unlock the Blow Up the Playing Field achievement in The Evil Within - Definitive Guide
Nothing too complicated when you finish the game for the first time you unlock the Rocket Launcher.
They'll just do 10 kills with by selecting New Game +
Good Luck

Going to sound stupid, but I unlocked this weapon and used it sparingly on the bosses only on New Game + going for my 5 hour achievement. That being said I failed and started a 2nd New Game + to try again, I never unlocked this achievement and im out of Rocket Ammo... Is there a way to get more? Or do I have to finish AKUMU difficulty and possibly unlock the rumored infinite rocket launcher?

AH THANK GOD, previous save saved me. Got it.

I actually had trouble with this one the first time. Some important things to note.
* you unlock the rocket launcher after finishing the game
* you do NOT get more rockets (which seems really odd)
* finishing the game again on New Game + does not refill your rockets
* the rocket launcher feels very under powered
* when aiming the rocket launcher you cannot move (annoying)
* you'll likely want to use rockets for the achievement to kill laura
* seems you need to complete a chapter for progress to be saved, checkpoints didn't seem to work
My suggestion:
After unlocking the rocket launcher, create two save games, one as a back up that has the full rocket launcher on it. I didn't do this my first time through the game, played through on NG+ and by the end had used all my rockets and not got the achievement, with no back up I had to wait until I finished a brand new playthrough (for my Akumu run) for more.
Any ways, select NG+ (casual) and choose one of you back ups with the full rocket launcher on it. Make your way to the very end of the level by the bridge, and just keep running around the area until you have a pile of zombies following you. Park yourself on the bridge and start to fire your rockets, just fire them when there are a bunch of zombies together, don't waste them on a single dude. Once you are done, finish the level and SAVE the game.
Back to the title menu, do NG+ again and select that new save and Chapter 2 again, doing the same thing. You should be able to get 10 by the second pass.
This achievement feels a bit buggy as there are well over 10 enemies in this area yet killing them all doesn't warrant the achievement, hence the save backup. At least if you do this and for some reason don't end up with the achievement by the time you ran out of rockets, you have a back up with a full launcher, just don't save over it. :)
This will also allow you to keep all your rockets to use for the killing laura achievement.

Just to add to the above
A great place to get this achievement is shortly into Chapter 11 when you first reach the asylum.
Save your game and as soon as you leave the Asylum you will enter an area where the enemies are in huge cages. Simply crouch behind a barrier and as soon as the doors open blast them away. You should be able to kill at least 8. When there is no more enemies in this cage, Move ahead slightly in the level and turn a crank. This will unleash about 5 more enemies, simply pick them off.
Once that cheevo pops just load up your last save and you still have all your rockets.

This achievement is for killing 10 enemies with Rocket Launcher that is unlocked after beating the game. You will want to conserve your ammo for the rocket launcher as it is limited and I have not found a way to replenish it's stock after it has been diminished. Your best bet would be to play chapter 2 and gather all the zombies together at the end of the level and try to take them all out. Again you will want to conserve the ammo because the Rocket and the Magnum are invaluable when it comes to the 5 hour achievement, Chapter 10 achievement for killing Laura and bosses in general. The rocket can also be helpful in a run without upgrades. I would recommend trying for this achievement during that run.
Also keep in mind that an Agony Bolt will reset your progress if you use one before you hit 10.

load up chapter 15 on New Game Plus. when you get to the first area inside Ruviks mind just keep using the RPG until the trophy pops, be careful of the fake Ruvik/laura hybrid get rid of it quick with a couple of shotgun blasts. once the trophy pops quit your game without saving and you will have your RPG ammo back!
You gain around 10 RPG ammo per full playthrough of the game. Chapter 3 is good for this on New Game +. There are plenty of enemies in the second area with the chainsaw sadist. Sebastian has to kneel and can't move when using the weapon, so make sure you're out of the haunted's reach - but not too far away because the rockets are a bit unreliable. Reloading autosave will keep your kills, but will not replenish ammo.
Potentially Missable: You only get this weapon after a fresh new game clear. You will never receive ammo refills for this weapon throughout the game, or for additional clears. You must get your 10 kills with your initial ammo after receiving the weapon.
After you clear the game for the first time, beginning a new game+ will grant you a rocket launcher. Use this rocket launcher to kill 10 enemies to earn the trophy.
A good place to do this is in the second burning room of chapter 6 because the group of enemies in this room actually respawn indefinitely. It's important to note that switching to the rocket launcher forces you to kneel. You will not be able to move as long as you have the rocket launcher selected. It's also important to note that although the rocket damage is high, it only effects a very small area. Be sure to be as direct with your hits as possible when using the rocket launcher.

The rocket launcher is awarded for completing the game getting 10 kills should pose no problem.
I would recommend reloading checkpoint after popping this as their is no ammo pickups and the rocket launcher is great for boss fights.

The achievement gets knocked out after the first playthrough, because... You will be given a rocket launcher (RPG) with NEW GAME+.
