How to unlock the Fumbling in the Dark achievement in The Evil Within - Definitive Guide

Early in Chapter 3 of The Consequence DLC you will lose your flash light. The Rooms are pretty much completely dark and you can only use chemical lights.

They don't do much while you hold them and only generate light when you throw them. Luckily the way to the power generator is a very short one and you can use 10 chemical lights on the way. Once you turn the power back on the achievement / trophy will pop.

Lol I never threw a light. On 1st playthrough I didn't know what to do with them so I just walked around in the pitch black until suddenly I found a switch haha. I wasn't even sure if enemies were near me or not. It was just a really long dark walk.

Much easier than it first appeared. I used the one chemical light in the starting area to see how they worked and decided to not bother using any more unless it was completely necessary.

As long as you pick the chemical light up, you should be able to somewhat navigate based on the very dim ambient light it gives off when you get close to a wall and such. I noticed an enemy on the ground, but decided to trigger his grab, since she kills him once you struggle and then heals fine after.

You can pick up on audio cues to work out where enemies are, but I didn’t run into any. Just the one who apparently saw/heard me (yellow indicator) when I went around a corner, but I didn’t know where exactly he was.

You can totally do this without using a single light. 10 would be a cakewalk. I didn’t watch this video, as you can work it out on your own. Some of it is built like a maze, but you can’t really get stuck in an area as there aren’t many dead ends. Finding the ladder at the start was probably the hardest part.

It is not hard. Hold your wand in your hand and walk. If you hit a wall, then move left/right. There are only a few moments where you really need to spend them, but overall it's not difficult.
