How to unlock the Pike killer achievement in The Explorer Of Night - Definitive Guide

** MISSABLE **
In the level where you ride a boat across the swamp, there will be a pike that is swimming in the swamp. When you get to an area that is blocked off and you have to use a dynamite to clear the way, time the dynamite so that the pike is killed as the pike jumps up. You have several attempts at this, if you do not kill the pike after the third try, just jump in the swamp to try again from the beginning. This is shown at 34:22 in the video.

Just put it in the boat and blow yourself up along with the pike. So much easier. Wasted so much time trying to get the timing on this.

Very very simple to get at level 24 (it used to be missable but since its release the game was patched so we got level select now!)
At the start of the level you will need to blow up the first tree stump. Climb, pick up the dynamite but instead of climbing back down, jump to the right which will have half a ladder. Drop the piece of dynamite. The big fish will eat the dynamite and it dies! 60G in the pocket! 👌😎
It can take a few tries to time it right but it is better than timing the dynamite on the log and jump.

Here is my 100% Achievement Guide!

Now what I found is, he can jump up and kill you randomly which is a goddam pain.
So when you get to your first block of tree you can't get past.
We need to jump up, grab some dynamite and use it on the tree to move past.
But this is where you should get the achievement before moving on to make it easier for you.
Try to time it so you put the dynamite down, jump back up to safety and the pike jumps and eats it, killing it.
Not only will that get you the achievement, but no more pikes show up after that, making this part a lot easier.
If you miss, just jump into the swamp and try again.
Go to 35:00 in my video to see exactly where this is done

About two thirds of the way through the game, you'll come to a level where you travel by boat on water, having to jump off at various points to use dynamite to clear the water for the boat to continue on. Throughout this level, there will be a pike in the water that will jump up and try to eat you. To unlock this achievement, you need to take some dynamite down low enough (onto your boat works) and place it, then when the pike comes to eat you, hope that it blows up on time to destroy the pike.
This achievement is a bit of a pain because of the timing and luck involved. Sometimes the pike will just swim past and not jump up at you. So you will likely end up bringing dynamite to your boat over and over, trying to set it at the correct spot at the exact right time such that the pike jumps toward you and runs into the dynamite right as it is exploding. It's definitely going to take some trial and error, but stick with it and eventually you'll be able to destroy a pike. It's fine if you die in the process, as long as the game registers that the pike died too.
This achievement was also quite delayed for me, so if you're sure you did it, give it a minute to see if it unlocks.
