How to unlock the Secret ending achievement in The Explorer Of Night - Definitive Guide

You will reach a level that has two possible exits: An unreachable ladder going upward, or to the right. Pick up a dynamite and drop it under the ladder to spawn a crate. Go up the ladder, go right, and get crushed by the boulder for this ending. This is shown at 29:37 in the video.

Any way to get back to the level if you go to the right? Or have to replay?

Unfortunately, there is no level select or way to go back after you go to the next level. You have to play from beginning up to the point where you missed an achievement.

Here is my 100% Achievement Guide!
This is Missable!.
In the level with enemies shooting at you, and dynamite to pick up (vague I know)
This particular achievement will come towards the end of the level just before you face the second boss.
You get to a point where above you, you see a ladder you cannot get too.. STAY HERE! If you go to the right again, you proceed to the boss and will have to quit out and do the level again.
So when your standing underneath the ladder, make sure you've got dynamite with you..
Explode the dyno under the ladder and a box will fall.. jump on the box, on the ladder and Watch the small cutscene until this pops.
Go to 30:45 in my video to see exactly where this is done

Got the missiable.....down fault....if you get missiable it ENDS THE GAME RIGHT THERE! not letting you proceed to finish the game and getting the rest of the achievements so id do it on a second play through :////

It ends the game, but you should be able to load game back to you being just under the ladder so you can continue the rest of the game :)

For those looking to complete this by using the Level Select function:
- It is on level 22
- This is a pretty short level
- There is a section where you have to blow up two destructible walls to push the red block past; once you have blow up those walls, go back and get another dynamite
- Just after you've pushed the red block to the wall and can jump up to the area where the level ends (the screen stops moving) you'll see a ladder you can't reach
- Place the dynamite below the ladder and the explosion will release a block you can jump off to get to the ladder
- Head up the ladder and then right until events happen and you get the secret ending
- It is on level 22
- This is a pretty short level

*MISSABLE*
Around halfway through the game (and right after you finish the boulder level for As fast as possible (50G)), you will reach a level that ends with an obvious broken ladder hanging above you. The only way to reach this ladder is to backtrack and grab some dynamite, then bring it to the broken ladder. Place it directly under the ladder and let it explode. This will drop the ladder down, allowing you to climb up. Reach the end of this linear section to unlock this achievement for this secret ending.
*IMPORTANT* After obtaining this achievement, choose to Continue your game. You will be back at the top of the broken ladder. Climb back down and proceed out the right side of the level to complete it like normal, allowing you to proceed through the rest of the game to obtain the rest of the story achievements.
