14 in all, due to the way the map works and having no full over view and limited online resources these are the directions to the shrines and temples. Letters refer to directions in the compass.

Rocks - In imperial hold, N section of Imperial Path

Law - Between Sacred Steps and Imperial Peak, Right island of the two that look like waves

Lost- Earthedge Wilds, E. Saladmount Woodmill single large island

Creation - between the two large islands in the far NE of the map

Lost Creation - NE of Dunkle, island E. of the collection of four.

Sark - In the Maw

Lost Father - Between Stargazer and Witchrock, one block below the 2nd set of wavy islands SW of Witch Rock

Kraken - N of Oberons Reach rectangular island

Falcon - NE of Park Remit, SE of Oberons Reach

Water - * shaped formation far south middle of map

Fire- The Spine SE Large island

Hidden Tears - NE of the central of the 3 Large islands in the Spine

Razorbeetle- Directly South of the 2nd set of waves islands SE of the prison. SW of Redmouth Forge, E of Native Wright 4 squares right of the conjoined islands next to Native Wright.

Mosaur - NE of Imperial Embassy SE of the Shard S of the Maw. Centre of the huge island with cut away sections, the landmass above Redmouth Sea

Heads up, that map is missing an island on Southside of Far left edge.

Can also confirm, after doing every side mission at Cartohom (along south edge of the Maw, below Dungle where you start) I was also at 11/14 shrines.
These mission give a lot of money (600-1000 each) offer short with no enemies.

Looking at the map, realized I was missing the following which were not there, even when visited.
- Lost Father
= Chp3: Imperium - Cleftspire > Mission 8?
- Lost Creation
= Chp4: Imperium - Shard > Mission 4
- Hidden Tears
= Chp4: Imperium - Shard > Mission 5

Part of these missions is to land on each,so unmissable! They are underwater, hence why can't get to them, till the story uncovers them.

Are some of these only available after Chapter 3? I'm at 11/14 and can't find Lost Creation, Lost Father and Hidden Tears when going to those locations.

EDIT - Oh, I see the story missions are having me seek out shrines now. I'm guessing they will lead to the ones I'm missing, eventually.

Some shrines are "hidden" and you need to advance in the story to get them.

Is there a side mission somewhere that opens up The Temple Of Creation? Lost Creation opened on one of the main missions (I've finished through the epilogue), but just plain Creation I can't get to.

Edit: Ah, I'm an idiot. There's an opening in the island to the left of it that allows access under the water.

^ I don’t think you’re an idiot. Flying around forever looking for this and almost gave up thinking there must be a special mission but your comment was the only reason I found it.

Playing the first few chapters, I was also wondering where these three temples were. just empty sea where they are located on the map. so yea, these three are only obtainable in certain missions and are indeed unmissable. but frozensoul is incorrect. they are:

Lost Father = Imperium-Shard (mission 8)
Lost Creation = Mancer-Oberon's Reach (mission 4)
Hidden Tears = Mancer-Oberon's Reach (mission 5)

Do "shrine exploration" side missions at Cartohom, south west of Dunkle. Some shrines can only be unlocked during story missions. All other locations (Civilian, Imperial, Mancer) can be discovered here.

We perform it in the first minute of the game in the prologue. you are diving on your falcon from the peak of the empress. at this peak (almost at the top) there is a sanctuary. fly close enough to them and the trophy is in your pocket
