How to unlock the Blast Caster achievement in THE FINALS - Definitive Guide

Quick note explosive mines are found in gadgets and cost 1000 of the weird Dimond things you get from playing games. This is alot easier than it sounds, while this achievement can work on ANY item you can pick up and throw, your best bet without a doubt is an explosive canister (the red tube shaped ones). I'd recommend using a medium or heavy character to survive more gunfire while lining up your shot. I'm gonna be honest the mine being set off is inconsistent asf and you will probably want to try this indoors. When looking for a target don't try it on a full health heavy as it will not be enough to kill them. All in all this achievement is more luck than skill but it's far from impossible and shouldn't take an absurd amount of attempts took me maybe a couple hours of attempts but obviously you could get luckier than I did.

I got this by simply placing it on a canister and leaving it, once an enemy walked by and it exploded I still got the achievement.

I covered the Cashout with explosive mines. Enemy team blew the floor out and it unlocked when the thing fell on one of them.

Setting this up and then shooting it into a room where a cashout is being defended seems to work well. A small room in Seoul with two players in it proved to be the perfect opportunity for me to get this.

The range of the explosive cylinder is greatly reduced with mines on it. Even placing it down with "Y" seems to make it float in the air. When launching the cylinder, with two mines on it, I noticed it would move slowly in the air and stop about 20 metres in air then explode.
Also, putting the mines on any throwable makes them a huge liability for yourself. I was killed a few times because someone shot, or even hammered, the payload in front of me; killing me but not them in the process. I was a heavy class too.
This game is pretty much 90% luck, so just a heads up that this achievement, among others, can be very frustrating / inconsistent. I'll keep trying, half heartedly.

We put a mine on the fire extinguisher and throw it at the enemies.
