How to unlock the The Path More Traveled achievement in The Four Kings Casino and Slots - Definitive Guide
This is in the Treasure Trap slot machine and is cumulative across all sessions and sittings. Regardless of how much you bet, when 3 or more silver circle Bonus Symbols randomly land in the frame, the Bonus Round will begin. The 1st Room is just a random choice to pretend you have agency. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Rooms have 3, 6, and 9 tiles from which to pick, and in each room you must pick a tile with a randomly placed key. Finding a randomly placed skull before the key ends the Bonus Round and gives you a trap towards the lifetime cumulative achievement:
Skulls become more likely than keys, so don't expect a 1 in 8 chance of surviving from the start to the end -- appears to be more like 1 in at least 100. The 5th Room will either be the Treasure Room or a Dead End and will award you with the Safari Jacket. This achievement requires you to eventually get to 5 Dead Ends.
There's no achievement need to bet more than the minimum on this particular game, so it may be wise to save your chips for achievements that do require riskier bets.
The You chose... poorly achievement in The Four Kings Casino and Slots worth 30 pointsActivate every possible trap in the Treasure Trap bonus round at least once

I've made it to the Treasure Room once, but for the life of me can't get past the final room again. This is going to take me a while.
Thankfully, this can be idled if you have a turbo controller. Just turbo A and it will advance all the screens and select the first option of the choices each time. Whether that means you have less chance of reaching the end? I don't know. But it doesn't eliminate the chance. So it's about just sticking with it.

I have been hesitant (paranoid?) to do any turbo or boosting in this game, but that could be a good tip. The funny boring thing is, with random-pick-reward stuff like this, I always decide what location I'm going to pick and stick with it, to take the kicking myself second-guessing aspect out of it. I'm sticking with the RNG of that one spot and whatever happens is the game's fault. In this game's Bonus Round I actually pick every default option every time and have only reached 1 end, a Dead End, out of maybe 100 tries. I started to wonder if there was something inherently unlikely about those choices, like you said, but the number of people with this achievement here and on PS4 encourages me that it is supposed to be rare.
