The Golden Compass

This is done in The North Camp level. At one point you'll be fighting witches and along the way enter caves for goodies. Make sure you comb each cave carefully for stuff and elixers.

I can confirm that if you have 3 or more Elixers if the witch and achievement does not pop simply defeat the with boss again and achievement will pop once shes dead

It's cumulative, so if you don't find three the first time return to caves again and the achievement will unlock as soon as you get a cumulative of three.

I just got this achievement without having to replay the level, despite only collecting two elixers in the caves, one in the THIRD cave where the tree is, and one in the LAST cave before the boss fight. I only collected those two and I somehow still managed to get the achievement after beating Queen Vala, and I even died once.

In the third cave, there's a platform on the left just where you get the journal question. Hawk-glide to the platform and follow the path upwards the collect the orbs and stuff, and the elixer should be there.

In the last cave, follow the path until you are spotted by the geese (actually you just naturally watch up to them). Win the dodge mini-game against both geese to progress, and collect the bloodmoss and the elixer.
