How to unlock the Official Participant achievement in The Golf Club 2019 - Definitive Guide

In order to get this from the main menu go to Societies > Official Societies (Bottom option) > Select one of the options and complete an ongoing event for that society.

I joined the Open Society, there was an event where you played 2 rounds. At the end of the second round, on the summary screen the achievement popped.

I either get online or solo - nothing says official??

I played the solo society template which was 4 rounds all the way through and didn't get the achievement. So I'm guessing you have to join an online one.

of course I bought this game after an achievement became unobtainable, but before it was marked as unobtainable on TA. perfect timing facepalm

Since the last season ended on 22/09/2020 this achievement is currently unobtainable, i missed it by one day :( currently doesnt look like anymore seasons will be added, if anyone knows a work around please let mw know

Edit (29/09/2020) i have filed a report ticket at 2k support, messaged the developers on twitter and 2k / Hb studios forums but no response yet, if more people who still need the achievement could do the same it may push them to unlock this achievement again

If anyone still wants this achievement head over to the hb studios forum and add another voice to my cause.
