How to unlock the TPC Scottsdale Master achievement in The Golf Club 2019 - Definitive Guide
To make the task a bit easier, I suggest playing in a local match from the red (shortest distance) tees and set the wind to none. Adjust any other conditions that you think will suit your playstyle and go for it! Aim to be at least -5 or -6 after the first nine holes to be safe (you need a -11 for the achievement).
I play with the Pro clubs so some additional insight is below.
- You will need to adjust 1 club down (ex: 7I to 8I) on several holes as the recommended club will leave you 20-30 feet past the hole.
- You will easily reach the Par-5s in two strokes, but you might putting from a mile away. Do not stress as your goal is to get 11 birdies and 7 pars. Eagles are a welcome bonus but don't count on them.
- One trick from real golf is to "play the hole backwards". I suck at chip shots so I tried to hit the previous shot outside that range. To do this, calculate what you most comfortable short distance is (mine is 40-60 yards) and choose your previous shot accordingly. (ex: on a Par-4 300 yard hole, I would hit my 3W off the tee and hit my second shot from 60 yards out).
Hope this helps.

This guide is a technique that can apply to all of the games course related achievements, as well as let you work on getting your handicap achievement and work on finishing out those frustrating sponsor goals.
Before starting up an event, simply over to the settings tab and set your Rounds Per Event to 2, 3, or 4 (depending on your confidence level). I personally gave myself 4 rounds. This will allow you to familiarize yourself with the course and how it plays; in essence giving yourself more chances to complete the achievement in a single event on your PGA calendar. Bumper back over to your event, and settle in to complete multiple rounds of golf on one course.
For this exact achievement, the Waste Mangement Phoenix Open is the main event on the PGA Tour that uses the Scottsdale course. The course has a par 71, so you're looking to sink an -11 under par on one round. Watch out for the 15th Hole and good luck!

Does this mean if you score 11 under across all 4 rounds you will get it? In other words you could get 3 under in each 18 hole round and still pop it?

No. In one of the four rounds you would have to hit an -11 under par; not your overall score for the event.
