How to unlock the I Would Walk… achievement in The Golf Club - Definitive Guide

Big thanks to hungcrofter for creating the course.

The course is '500 miles super quick (88 miles in 18 short putts)' - simply search "500" and it should pop up.

This course will give you 88 miles (17.6%) per playthrough therefore, you will need 5 and 1/2 playthroughs (if your progress is at 0% then it will pop after the 10th hole on your 6th playthrough). Each playthrough is approximately 2 minutes. This is by far the best, easiest, and fastest way to get to 500 miles, thus making this grinding achievement obtainable in less that 15 minutes.

Absolutely fantastic. No idea HOW it works, but I don't care, it works!

Goots 88 : No, Handicaps work the other way around. Zero handicap is a good "scratch" player, whilst the starting handicap for men (in the UK at least) is 36.

Having a high handicap gives you extra 'free' shots to be able to hole out a par 5 in 7 and still get a par!

Infinite... Please read my comment again. I play golf almost on a daily basis. Zero handicap is good because it means your an excellent golfer, hence why i put in the smiley face. I know how it works, but thank you for the explanation.

Superb simple solution. Only problem is that you end up with a zero handicap :(
Anyone know if you can restart the handicap calculation?

Goots, OK, I didn't 'get' the irony of the smiley face. I'm a real life golfer too, but don't yet get to play as frequently as I would like.

I made the comment because I believe the game does use a handicap system for some play, and playing scratch wouldn't help!

I made a 4 hole course called "Gameguidecentral.com 500 Mile". The 4 holes are all 1 foot putts and the course gives you 35,152 yards and about 4% of your total for each play.

Really would have thought this would have a TA score by now. Aced hasn't dropped in 2 days either. Odd.

I wonder if this is a problem with TA? I notice the order of friends scores on games has reversed too...

Want to get this done in 15minutes, and COMBINE it with the Tour Pro achievement?

First, a note from the community!
"Can't play this until you do 5 rounds on handicap rated courses to unlock your handicap index, FYI.
Posted by BShick07"

Go to Play Tournament (Yes, this works for the Achievement), change the search criteria to Public Courses and search for:

Tour Pro 15 mins

It's 72 holes of hungcrofter's "500 miles super quick (88 miles in 18 holes)" course.

Full credit to hungcrofter: I just stitched them together in a 72 hole tour.

I just unlocked both achievements using this tournament.

Another achievement that would take a long time naturally. Conversely, you can download courses to boost this. Simply search for "500" in the course list and there are several there that give you tons of distance towards the total.
